Ham breakfast burrito is the business and come with high expectations and leave happy because troys makes amazing breakfast. Tonight is the last time I go here. I have been going here off and on for over 30 years. The food has always been decent to very good. Portions generous. I had not been here in awhile though, and all I got to say the prices are out of control. I get the fact that they have to pay people more now that food workers minimum wage has gone up and inflation, but in comparison to other fast food places they seem to be price gouging. This place used to be a deal and I would come here opposed to waiting in a line at In-N-Out. Upon arriving very nice staff of people! Which is really fresh these days since everybody's so grumpy about working in a pandemic! This has been my go to taco place for over 10 years. The meat is ridiculously juicy! Just 1 taco is the size of 2. They also offer those spicy little yellow peppers that I love. Troy's is known for so much more than tacos, their breakfast burritos are BOMB.COM! Troy's is a local spot that's is always worth stopping by when in the area. The parking lot is a bit of a mess as it's narrow but if that's my biggest complaint than really there's nothing to complain about. Stop by Troy's you won't regret it. read more

Been going here for over 25 years. Burgers are really good. Chicken tacos and asada tacos are huge!!!! Totally worth it! Forget about going to Escalantes for soft tacos, 1 here is about 5 at Escalantes, not joking! Pastrami good. The only reasons I gave a 4 is because the fries suck! They used to be good, but for the last 2 years they are really bad. I got tired if complaining. I like them chrispy, I end up with old redropped fries! Today I didn't bother saying chrispy, so I ended up with some nasty limp fries, looked super old! I give up! BTW. When I order my fries, I tell them I want fresh fries and chrispy, not fries that are put back in the fryer. They always say ok but it never happens. read more

The customer service here is at an all time low. It wasn't very good before, but now it's just a joke. The quality of food has also declined in the past few years. I stopped going here awhile back due to this. I recently started coming back. The phone wait time (if you're actually able to get through, sometimes just rings and rings) is crazy. Two weeks ago I was told 45 minutes for one breakfast burrito. Today I was told 10, but when I showed up it took 25 minutes. There were only two people waiting when I arrived. I also saw two more people come and order and get their food. She asked about this the cashier was completely unapologetic. Got some pretry solid breakfast burritos. These have a good size to them but not the biggest burritos in the area. I like these because they put a lot of potatoes in them. I usually get the bacon but you can choose from sausage, chorizo, and ham as well. Green salsa has the right amount of kick for me...(im not big on spicy foods). First time here after a quick ride from Steve Ambriz Park to Huntington Beach and back. A lot of people outside, waiting to order or pick up their order. It's a very small/cozy place with limited seating, both inside and out. Parking is also on the tight side. However, it's apparently really popular! The traffic at the window never stopped! Most took their orders to go. I asked Debbie (who was the on the counter) to surprise me. She ordered up an egg and chorizo burrito. My friend had the regular breakfast burrito, and he liked his as well. It was great, I didn't even see it on their menu! I'll definitely stop by again when we're on another ride! read more

You ever see the TV news human-interest story about that canadian goose that "imprinted" on the park ranger who was there when it hatched from the egg? And now the goose thinks this guy is its mother, so it follows him around wherever he goes, even though it's free to fly away? Well, much like that goose, I "imprinted" on Troy's at birth. I lived in a house 2 doors doors down from Troy's from age 0-5. From age 6-11 I lived only a quarter mile away. So I grew up with Troy's. I was always there. My favorite meal as a kid was the corn dog and chocolate malt from Troy's. I moved to Missouri at age 11 and was gone for 15 years. When I finally moved back, one of the first places I wanted to go was Troy's. I didn't expect it to be there. I thought that it had surely been ripped down and replaced by condominiums or something. But it was still there, just as I remembered it! Now another decade has passed, and Troy's remains unchanged. The food is still tasty! The malts are still malty! And that ugly looking vacant lot right next door that we used to play in as little kids... still there! (Are they EVER gonna do anything with that lot?) If I were totally unfamiliar with Troy's, I might only give it 3 or 4 stars.
