The old adage "You can't judge a book by its cover," is true here. This place looks forgotten, ignored, unassuming, but produces the finest bakery items in Orange County. You enter and have to immediately get into a line. Inside, it is like a aged cafeteria of your childhood. You have to wait for a young lady who can't even look over the top of the counter because there is so much stuff piled high. She stands on tip toes to see you and you have to shout at her and point what you want. The problem is when she sees you, you are near the cash register, so you must say excuse me and walk in front of a line of people to point and shout out what you want. It is so poorly designed and complicated to order. We all endure because like the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, the product is worth it. They sell the world's best Olive bread, scones, and strawberry crossants. If you survive the line, you make it to the cash register, pay, get a bag and leave. There is no where to sit. There is no internet. They shuffle you through and on to the next one. The pastry items are incredible and worth the trouble.

Absolutely phenomenal. Great flavor. The whipped cream is slightly too sweet but amazing otherwise. Love the red bean in here. There's a good mix of textures. Feels light thanks to the cream. Cream puff: 6/10. Was disappointed by this to be honest. Other pastries I've tried like the one in the photo are just okay. Nothing stand out. Customer service isn't great. Someone cut in front of me and they didn't care. Free parking and plenty of it since it's a large plaza.

Granted that you are paying $12 for 6 of these, for $2 each puff this is not really acceptable at all. Sure, I called the store and they refunded me this purchase. By letting them know that they should probably throw away the rest of this batch, will this happen? The store clerk told me so, but who knows? The fact that you have to question premium stores really puts a sour taste in your mouth. It does make you wonder whether to come by again in the future or not. And that's on top of whether to trust any of the labels they provide or not....geez...

Definitely something you have to eat immediately or the texture will not be optimal or it might get soggy. We got the tiramisu croffle and they toasted it and put it together for us there. The lady working there packed it up nicely in a to go box and we got some cookies (regular ones and almond crisp ones). It's a bit sweet, but they're dessert pastries so that makes sense. Goes great with a brewed cup of tea. Croffle had a nice semi-chewy texture and the tiramisu flavor added a bit of a coffee taste to it. Good balance of the cream and croffle. The cookie wasn't too bad either. Overall not a bad to go dessert spot.

The décor is cozy with a modern touch, making it an ideal spot for both working on my laptop and catching up with friends. The blueberry scone was delightful. It had a perfect balance of sweetness with just the right amount of blueberries, providing a burst of flavor in every bite. The scone was fresh, with a crumbly yet moist texture that paired wonderfully with my coffee. The carrot cake muffin was equally impressive. It was moist and flavorful, packed with shredded carrots and topped with a light cream cheese frosting that wasn't overly sweet. Each bite was a perfect harmony of spices and sweetness. Last year, when this place had just opened, I left a 5-star review. Unfortunately, I feel the need to update it now. From the beginning, I noticed a serious issue and assumed it would be fixed over time, but after a year, nothing has changed so I want to share my experience honestly. The quality of the food and coffee is still good, no question about that. However, the biggest and only major problem is the lack of proper ventilation. There is no effective exhaust system to remove cooking and frying smells from the kitchen, so the entire café fills with heavy food odors. It makes it hard to breathe for many people, and when you leave, your clothes and hair smell strongly of food. It honestly kills your appetite and makes sitting down to eat very unpleasant. I truly hoped this would be addressed over the past year, but unfortunately it hasn't. The only ventilation seems to be the front door, which is usually closed and understandably can't be left open all the time due to weather. Sadly, because of this issue, despite liking the food and coffee, we've decided we won't be returning. read more

I was not prepared for how thick the cream layer on top would be at first, but I let it sit for a bit while I drove to the office and allowed the cream to melt into the coffee a little. AMAZING. I love hazelnut, and this was so good. Naturally, I had to come back one more time before leaving and tried the banana cloud coffee. Again: fantastic. What impressed me most across all three drinks was the balance. Their flavored coffees aren't "sugar with some coffee." You taste the COFFEE first, then the rich cream and flavor, and then just enough sweetness. That's really hard to do well, and they absolutely nail it. I also tried an almond croissant, which was very good--and I say that as an almond-croissant heat-seeking missile who will find every great almond croissant within striking distance. They told me they bake their pastries in-house that morning, and you can tell. I eventually brought my sister with me, and she loved it too, including her regular croissant. Beyond the food and drinks, I loved watching the staff work. Everyone seemed genuinely dedicated to what they were doing and to the craft of making really good coffee. I came here because another coffee shop was closed. I came back twice because Long Black was THAT good. This will absolutely be my coffee stop anytime I'm on this side of town again.

There's plenty of parking next door, and while there is no seating outside, there's plenty indoors. It's a really minimal shop, but they have some cool furniture if you want to hang out and play some board games. Service was friendly and fast, especially since the line never let up the entire time I was there. On the food & drinks front, I ordered a ham/cheese/jalapeño croissant, an almond croissant, the Pistachio Cream Latte (w/ almond milk), the Maple Pumpkin Pie Latte (w/ oat milk), and the Orange Bourbon Cardamom latte (w/ oat milk). Everything was great, I especially enjoyed the ham/cheese croissant m, OBC latte (the orange and cardamom really stand out in this and compliment each other well), and the Pistachio Cream latte (if you like pistachio ice cream you'll love this). Their seasonal MPP latte was good, but I didn't get as much pumpkin in it as I would've liked (still a good drink). This is a great coffee shop that makes unique drinks that I really enjoyed. I definitely plan to come back to try some of their other drinks, and would recommend paying them a visit if you're in the area.
