The food is good. Just dropped in to get some fried rice. I was craving it for awhile. The service was friendly and fast. Is in a shopping Plaza across from an orthopedic center. Cute little restaurant with full bar.

So I met Leo approximately a year ago at Aldi and through seeing him occasionally I found out he had a resturant. Great thing is it's a family affair with his wife and daughter who have had this location for I believe 13 plus years. Being a mom and pop they do it all which gives a nice family feel. He has been a sushi chef etc for over 21 years and they have a very extensive menu of Chinese cuisine along with their sushi. Been here in orlando since 2017 and it was my first experience at his establishment. Place is clean well decorated not very large BUT I love they have indoor dinning unlike a few other places only do take out since Covid :/. They have a happy hour menu which is very good and well priced 7 days a week. recommend show up early or just know there will be a wait for a tables. Leo and the family thanks for a great experience, great food, and great service. My wife and I will definitely see you again. Make sure to go check them out and support our local businesses!

L - Two Rolls Lunch Special

It's been years since we dined in for lunch. I had forgotten what a great deal their lunch specials are. (They are even served on the weekends) One of my sons is vegetarian and on top of it he is picky about what vegetables he will eat. So I asked if he could have only broccoli instead of mixed vegetables and if he could have a small salad in place of the crab Rangoon and egg roll which they where more than willing to accommodate they even offered a vegetable spring roll in its place but he prefers salad. The lunch portions are huge for the price and all it's comes with. Every Chinese lunch comes with soup of your choice (egg drop, wonton or hot and sour). It also has two crab Rangoon, an egg roll and egg fried rice. My mom ordered sushi pick two which was two rolls of her choice with soup and salad. I had their Thai basil chicken it's one of my favorite dishes they make. While they where closed for Covid they did some major cleaning and painting. The paintings are phenomenal. They are very talented. Perfect place for lunch. We can't wait to return

Good sushi option in Winter Garden area. We came in specifically for the sushi happy hour which was a great deal, lots of $5 rolls. The triple tail and rocking rolls were my favorite. We also enjoyed miso soup and egg roll for starters. Would come back again for happy hour.

Gosh! I love a good lunch special. Unlike most restaurants, Tao Asian offers lunch specials even on the weekends. Also, they have $3.50 sushi happy hour everyday from 4 to 7pm. I ate so much food for $8. I ordered shrimps with vegetables, served with krab rangoon, pork fried rice, egg roll and soup. I really liked the rice. The owner is extra fussy. She was always making sure our drinks were refilled, and she was constantly wiping down the other tables. Friendly staff, super clean establishment and awesome deals...4 stars!

Tortillas and rice included with Peking Duck house special!

I was hoping to have food delivered to the place I was staying since it was only a mile away, but their website doesn't show a menu. Super tiny place, but clean and their dining furniture is super cute! I'm really liking the white banquettes and dining chairs. This place offers Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food. I came during lunch, so the only seating available was at the bar. Like many chinese restaurants, they have a good lunch menu, which includes Japanese and Thai dishes as well. All reasonable prices. I decided to get the half Peking Duck House Special since the description sounded enticing: you got me at crispy skin! It is really hard to find good Peking Duck, but this place exceeded my expectations! It tasted as they described on the menu, and the skin was crispy and delicious! It was also not greasy, and no bones (except the drum stick part). The half duck includes plenty of tender meat already cut in pieces and easy to eat. Includes a side of rice and tortillas. I thought it was a lil odd that it came with a side of tortillas instead of your typical steamed bun, but I'm not complaining. One of the best Peking Duck I've had! The service was a bit slow. Other than that, I was really satisfied with my crispy Peking Duck.

The absolute star of the show for me was the Hotate Crème Brûlée -- I genuinely could have eaten 10 of these. It really does taste like dessert in the best way, and I honestly wish I had saved it to be my very last bite of the night! The scallop crudo was another favorite. The combination of the yuzu and strawberries was so fresh and delicious and worked perfectly with the scallop. The only miss for me was the "Bomb." There was so much yolk from the quail egg that I really couldn't taste much of the caviar or steak. We ordered two, and next time I'd personally save the $30 and put it toward trying another roll instead! We also got the ceviche roll, which was honestly crazy because it somehow tastes JUST like ceviche, and the rainbow roll, which was amazing as well. Service was wonderful, and they were so kind and accommodating with my allergy, which I really appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and I'd definitely come back -- especially for about 10 more Hotate Crème Brûlées!

The sushi was fine, but nothing really stood out enough to make me want to come back. We started with the crispy tuna, and I felt the base was missing flavor. I've honestly had much better versions at other sushi restaurants. We also ordered the roll with fried shrimp and salmon on top. I had it not torched, as recommended. It was still very rich and heavy because of the aioli. I tried removing the aioli, but unfortunately, once removed, the roll became much less rich **and** rather tasteless. There was no ginger or wasabi served with the sushi either, which I found disappointing. And the baked Alaska... was probably the biggest disappointment. It was tiny, had a yuzu flavor, and tasted much more like cheesecake than baked Alaska. It also didn't really feel like baked Alaska at all -- and it definitely wasn't baked. My husband doesn't eat sushi, so he ordered the chicken katsu and actually really enjoyed it, so perhaps the non-sushi options are stronger. But for me, personally, I'd choose a different restaurant for a sushi dinner where I can leave with a clean palate and feel like I had something special. **P.S.** I was also disappointed by the lack of any acknowledgment of our wedding anniversary. Our reservation clearly stated that we were celebrating our anniversary, yet nothing was done to make the occasion feel special -- not even a complimentary dessert or a little "Happy Anniversary" message on the dessert we purchased ourselves. It's a small gesture, but on a special occasion, those little details really matter. That said, I do want to mention that the **service itself was good**. Unfortunately, though, good service alone wasn't enough to make the overall experience memorable for the right reasons.

After speaking with the owner, he explained that he didn't want us to feel rushed, so he was able to accommodate us at a later seating that day. I really appreciated that! I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time, though, because there are only eight seats available at the counter. The market itself is in such a cute area and has so much to check out, including teas, popcorn, a brewery, and more. Once we sat down at the sushi counter, the atmosphere almost made you feel like you had been transported to Japan. I ordered the five-piece sashimi, and the fish was incredibly fresh and delicate. Each piece was paired with different sauces and flavors that made every bite unique. It was unlike any sashimi I've had before, and you could really tell how much thought and care went into each piece. Between the atmosphere, the hospitality, and the quality of the fish, this was such a memorable experience. I would absolutely come back--just with a reservation next time!

The host staff spent more time talking about their relationships to each other, than actually engaging or interacting with customers who are waiting for their orders. The estimated pick up time for my order was 7:23 PM. I arrived at 7:20 PM and was told that my order was not ready. At 7:33 my order was still not ready and I requested an update on the status of my order. At about 745 I was actually able to walk out of the location with my order. I understand when the kitchen can get behind, but if you can't keep up with pick up orders, then turn them off and don't give it as an option online. Outside of that, the food was very delicious. I ordered the chicken curry, which is a little spicy, but the flavor was really good with the fried chicken. And because I got the dinner option, it came with a small salad. My husband got the beef fried rice and it was good. We appreciated that they seem to put more meat in their beef fried rice than before. The one thing I will say about this location your portion sizes when you dine in are definitely larger than when you do takeout. The booth we sat in had a beautiful and asymmetrical heavy wooden table top polished to a brilliant shine, and there were a surprising number of diners there at noonish, on a Tuesday... what's that tell you? Now: the food! *First, for the technically challenged, be warned that the menu is available via phone and QR Code. If you want a printed menu, too bad. Otherwise... We began our meal with Agedashi Tofu, which is fried cubes of tofu that have a magnificently thin layer of a crisp skin encasing melted tofu, and there's a perfect sauce to dip them in. I have been thinking about these for an hour now and can't even imagine how they are made. A delicious magic trick! Next, we had an Eel and Shrimp Tempura Roll, a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box, and two Nigiri and Sashimi lunch specials. The Tempura was light and crisp. The bento box included a spring roll, fried rice, and gyoza, all perfectly flavored. The Nigiri and Sashimi fish was served cold and absolutely fresh, and was sliced generously. The Nigiri and Sushi lunches included a California roll, 4 pieces of sushi, and six pieces of sashimi, and really was a lot of excellent food for a bargain $24. I almost forgot that we started, along with the Agedashi Tofu, with a very subtly flavored miso soup with tofu and seaweed. This was also perfection, with just a breath of ginger and perfect salt. I hope I've convinced you fans of Japanese food to try this restaurant. If you're new to Japanese food's many varieties and intricacies, or hesitant to eat raw foods, there are always cooked meat and fish dishes like Tempura or Teriyaki you can order, and then you can explore by tasting the more exotic things your friends and family order. Maybe you'll develop a taste for it! If you already have a taste for Japanese food, don't pass up an opportunity to eat a wonderful meal at Mikado, in MetroWest.
