We stopped in for a late lunch, getting seated at 3:40pm. It was not busy so we thought it would be quick. Our refreshers came quickly and were yummy. After waiting 30 minutes the server came to tell us the kitchen had lost our order. It came in another 5 minutes. My partner got the poke bowl. He said it tasted great, however the avocado was missing. I got the Korean noodle bowl topped with shrimp. While the noodle mixture was good, the shrimp was almost inedible. It was overcooked, rubbery and extremely salty. We won't be recommending this location to anyone. I can't imagine how much worse it must be during the dinner rush. read more

Came here and tried the quinoa teriyaki bowl and it was delicious! Being a vegetarian there were plenty of options and they all sounded amazing. The kale salad and sweet potato hash were also tasty. Its the best healthy option I've had in a while. read more

This restaurant in Boca Raton has an awesome location right at the Town Center Mall (by the main entrance)!! Finally a healthy place to eat with a huge assortment of foods to choose from! Such a beautiful and large restaurant with a clean and open feel and outdoor eating area right at the main mall entrance for great people-watching! This restaurant rotates their menu each season so you never get bored with their delicious food and everything is made IN-HOUSE!! They even have Kombucha on the menu!! How cool is that?!! They have the healthiest cuts of all meat and even the best of all Vegetarian and Vegan dishes! This is an awesome restaurant -- both semi-local locations (West Palm Beach, where we live, and Boca Raton, where we work)!! They have a scratch kitchen, so they don't mind making dietary or preferential substitutions. Not to mention, that's the basis for the restaurant's mission -- healthy eating, but with food that tastes amazing. We originally came here because my husband Michael has recently developed liver issues, so he had to avoid red meats and dairy (diet over-simplified). And not only do they have great-tasting options already on the menu, but they will adjust any dish, as able, to meet any dietary needs. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, especially the manager, Chris, and our waitress Kitty at the West Palm Beach location, and our bartender/waitresses Sierra and Maria at the Boca Raton location. It's a little pricy, but they only serve food in season, they support local farmers/such, and they contract with other farms/ranches/businesses to make and sell their own specialty items. Although the food is amazingly good, the service isn't what I expected. And unfortunately, bad service can and will completely ruin your dining experience. Portions can be quite small, so if you're hungry you better choose carefully, but don't count on the staff to help you. I received gift card for this place that's how I end up going for lunch there. This place has very good atmosphere, it has open floor concept and it's very bright inside. It is located in Town Center of Boca Raton and it was pretty busy at lunch time. Menu is big enough and has broad selection of Vegetarian/vegan/ gluten free choices. Service is very good. I ordered kale guacamole from the starter menu and it was delicious. My main dish was fish tacos. Unfortunately I found a bone or two in my fish. You would expect fish tacos to be made from fish that doesn't have you worried about cartilage or bones while eating. The waiter quickly took care of it and manager took it off the bill. The T.L.T sandwich my sister ordered was amazing. Overall it's a great place for quick lunch during lunch break. The food is not good! We went with four of us, each of us ordering different items off the menu, a few appetizers and a few drink options. The food tasted like something you can get in the frozen food section of a grocery store. The taste was less than spectacular and some items were soggy when they weren't supposed to be. The drinks were watered down. They sounded great on the menu, but when they arrived, what a disappointment. I look for healthy options, but this is one (really not so healthy) option is one that I will not patronize again. Much too expensive for what I consider inferior quality food. Wow! Great place to come to for lunch. They were super quick despite the fact we came on opening day. We started off with their sparkling pomegranate iced tea and chia limeade. So refreshing! Each drink is about $5. We ordered the chargrilled cauliflower, the kale Tuscan salad which set the foundation for the entire restaurant and we had an arugula pizza. It was all delish but will say the server didn't warn us the arugula pizza didn't have cheese so it was like we were eating bread with tomato sauce. Good for those that can't have cheese though! We are very happy to have found True Food Kitchen. We sat at the bar and Neville was our server who was great. He made a couple great recommendations for the starters and had our drinks made quickly and very good. We had the grilled island redfish tacos with the tomatillo avocado salsa. The pickled jicama slaw and dried sweet corn topped the fish and have it a nice crunch. Amazingly good fish tacos!! We then had the summer corn and tomato flatbread with the pumpkin seed pesto base. It was the perfect size and had the right amount of goat cheese on top. We are looking forwarding to coming back. Also the straws are plant based and not plastic as some people have said. The manager is an ignorant jerk who shouldn't be a manager whatsoever. He's constantly rude to to his employees belittling them, and I recently ate there and saw him yelling at a brand new bus boy in front of the whole restaurant for making a simple mistake and made him cry. If someone makes a mistake, act like a manager and comp something or give them a free dessert. It doesn't cost anything to do that but by being rude, you lose employees and customers. Our experience last night was not stellar! Sean, our waiter, never brought our water or our dessert spoons/forks. Luckily, I was able to use roll ups from the next table. Our 4 meals were delivered to a table near ours and Sean didn't know the daily soup. He disappeared for too long each time we asked him a question or requested an item. The restaurant manager was able to fulfill our requests. The straws there are plastic! This is a "green" and healthful place. Really---plastic straws??? The 4 entrees were good. The fish was overpriced for the portion size. Sadly, the desserts were melted by the time we got the utensils. The dining area was not crowded on Sunday, June 30, so that is not the reason for the lackluster service. I ate there with a group in March. The experience was better then. read more

I was disappointed with this location as I am a big TFK fan. This location's food just didn't taste good. For example, the almond ricotta was runny and I didn't taste any lemon. I ordered my favorite pizzas: the spinach and mushrooms pizza and the garden pesto pizza and they just tasted bad. I also ordered the Rose Sangria - I was so excited to try it as I love rose and I was impressed with the listed ingredients of pineapple and lime. Unfortunately, it came out with lemons and strawberries - I am allergic to strawberries so I could not drink it! I ended up having to get the spicy pineapple margarita which did not taste like a margarita nor was there enough of a pineapple flavor! It had so much alcohol that I had to just water it down to drink it. Although, I was specific about my order, I received multiple wrong plates! This was a nice place but what made it phenomenal was our server! I believe her name is Amber(her necklace said it) and I think management should recognize someone special like her working for their team!!! My dad and I were seated promptly and Amber came over to give us menus and get us drinks. I explained to her that I'm vegan and also I'm having some dental issues at the moment so I asked for her opinion on some menu items! She so graciously offered to tweak the sauces and add tofu to the noodle bowl I was looking at to make things easier on me and still absolutely delicious. I'm always excited to eat here, but always disappointed when the food arrives. This time the "hot" food was cold. Last time it was loaded with salt. Glass of Pinot Noir was "off", and sent it back. Replacement just was just as bad (BTW- the local wine distributors leave wines in a hot truck and warehouses in Florida, not climate controlled). I rarely review after one visit, but this was so good that we know this will be the first of many visits. First, let me start by saying since so many reviews marked this as a great spot IF you're a vegetarian or vegan, I wanted to say that we both LOVED it and we're neither. The only thing remotely close is we do try to eat "clean" (i.e. no packaged or canned food, nothing with preservatives, added dyes etc.) and we aren't even successful at that 7 days a week! So my point is, if we liked the food here, anyone will. No, you're not going to sit down and order a coke and fries but the menu is not completely meatless. So with that said.... It's normally so busy here when we've been at Town Center in the past that we'd never had the patience to try it. Waiting 1/2 hour for a table only for it to be disappointing.... However, we happened to be here on a Monday night and there was immediate seating so we took the opportunity. The restaurant is open & airy with inside & outside seating, high ceilings and is nicely decorated. Our server promptly greeted us and asked if we'd dined with them before. When she found we were newbys she explained the seasonal aspect of the menu, the dishes that are popular and answered our initial questions. There is a full bar (beer, wine & some liquor) I'm not actually sure what liquor they don't stock but when I asked if their bar was just beer and wine or served liquor our server intentionally replied that they have "most" liquor. Unfortunately, once I found they carry the vodka I drink, I didn't ask her to elaborate. So, my apologies.... I'm not sure what liquor they do/do not carry. However, I normally use a splash of cranberry in my regular cocktail and knowing Cranberry juice cocktail is far, FAR from natural I didn't expect them to have it. But our server offered a great substitute of cherry-pomegranate juice and to be honest it was truly much better than cranberry juice. So, thank you True Food Kitchen for spoiling me from ever enjoying my cocktail as much anywhere else. I mean really.... thank you! ‍ While I had my cocktail my wife had a glass of their house Riesling and although we forgot to ask the brand, it was also really good. Lighter, crisper and less sweet than most. Our entrees: I chose the Chopped Salad ($12) and added Chicken ($4) Other protein options-Tofu $4, Shrimp $6, Grass Fed Steak $6, or Salmon $9. The salad includes medjool dates, dried cranberry, jicama, apple, manchego, farro, marcona almonds with a champagne vinaigrette. It's honestly the best salad I've had in recent memory. Super fresh, crisp, cold, satisfying and delicious. The protein to veggie, sweet to savory, crunchy to creamy, acid to oil balance were all perfect. 99% of other restaurants either can't or just don't hit the mark. Mrs had the grass fed steak tacos which were equally as good ($17) The steak was super flavorful, cooked perfectly and super tender. They come with a coconut lime yogurt (delicious) and a side of anasazi beans with a dollop of tomatillo avocado salsa on top. For the average pallet these are probably pretty spicy. We eat a lot of spicy food and what's spicy to most isn't to us and we picked up on the kick in these. If you order these be aware of it because although we loved them, we were surprised there was no notation or indication on the menu or from our server. A sensitive pallet would probably not care for these. So just an FYI Then to end our meal we opted to have something from their dessert menu and tea/coffee. The menu listed a squash pie with a graham crust, flourless chocolate cake and chia seed pudding. We chose the squash pie but were told that it was no longer available and was being replaced with a seasonal key lime mouse with almond crumble crust. We chose to try that instead and my wife ordered a cup of Darjeeling tea and I ordered a cinnamon vanilla latte. The dessert was impressive. It surprised us how rich and satisfying it was without a drop of dairy (the "cream" topping is made from coconut milk). So although the taste makes you think you're eating something sinfully loaded with cream and sugar there is very little guilt involved. From start to finish the whole meal was something we will definitely return to do again! The service was on point, the whole staff were very kind and attentive. We prefer savory and avoid the calories. Also we would humbly recommend the tempeh not be so over cooked on the TLT. We sent it back and they were nice enough to remove it and comp us for a desert. Please please please add the option to request the gluten free crust on the UberEats app for pizzas!!! I can only eat from here when I drive up to the mall because they don't have the GF option available on their website for this location or on the UberEats app. Would be awesome if we had the option to leave notes regarding allergies on delivery apps for this location as well like you are able to for other True Food locations. Otherwise - this location is awesome with great service and the fact that I can enjoy such delicious food as someone with severe allergies is a godsend. read more
