True Food Kitchen is located in the newer section of the Easton Town Center. The food was really good but the bar was VERY slow. We ordered our drinks shortly after being seated on their patio and were told that they may take a bit longer than usual so we took our time looking through the menu. We placed our order for our food about 10 minutes later. Even after our food arrived, the drinks still weren't ready which was a bit disappointing since I would have liked to sip on beverage while waiting for the food. We ended up receiving our drinks a few minutes after we got the food. I got the vegan double cheeseburger and it was really good! The bun was delicious and paired well with the patties. I would just steer away if you can't handle a lot of salt since the patties were quite salty. I got the kale salad as the side and it was well dressed. Overall I would come back for food but would not recommend it if you're looking for a place that can get drinks out quickly! read more

We've been meaning to try this place as it's right across from Slurping Turtle where we frequently eat at. It's definitely a healthy restaurant where they can cater to different allergies and diets. We tried the kalbi steak and pesto pasta. Because the restaurant emphasizes a lot on anti-inflammatory food, the dishes tasted a lot "healthier" than what you would expect. I love pesto, but the pesto pasta just didn't taste as good as I was expecting. We got several drinks including the matcha horchata, which was delicious. Matcha is definitely an acquired taste for some but the subtle tones of horchata made it on point. We were seated by the big windows in the front and there were spider webs and spiders crawling around the inside ledge which made me constantly check to see that the spiders didn't magically appear on my table. Came here for lunch with a friend a few weeks ago. The space is huge. It's very bright and cheery. I like the variety on the menu. I had a chicken parm panini with a side of slaw. Had a nice dinner on the patio. The staff and our waitress were super nice. The bathrooms were clean. Ok now onto the food: The strawberry smash drink is a MUST try. Didn't taste the alcohol... not sure if that's a bad or good thing... LOL. My toddlers had the Margherita pizza, no complaints from them. I tasted a piece and thought it was good and the crust was nice and crispy. My friend and I split a kale salad with salmon. They split it in the back before bringing it out which is always nice. The salmon was delicious. Perfectly cooked. The host told me it's flown in everyday from Chicago. I made reservations for dinner for 6:15 on Saturday. We were seated immediately in the main dining area where we could see the open kitchen, bar, and the enclosed patio area. It's very spacious, with large windows. There was plenty of parking in an adjacent lot. We were brought waters, and later a carafe. The menu is scanned from the bar code on the table. You are given a golf pencil with paper menu on which to mark your selections, which the server takes to place your order. The drinks are on one side, and the food on the other. When we didn't get our drinks it became apparent that maybe she didn't look at that side. We asked and she admitted she didn't and apologized. We enjoyed our drinks after our meal. Other than that, she was great, The food is the shining star. The $11 Edemame Guacamole served with thin crispy pita chips was fabulous. My Lasagna Bolognese ($17) with fennel chicken sausage was amazing and I ate it all. My husband had the Steak Tacos - there were 2, with beans on the side - and he enjoyed. They were $19. The alcohol is marked way up. If I return for a meal, I'll be cognizant of this since my husband's $18 glass of wine seems pretty high. My cocktail was $13. It was the Common Bond, made with bourbon and apple, and a great taste for fall. It reminds me of Northstar, which I love, but don't frequent often because it is an expensive eatery. Being located at Easton, which I don't frequent because of traffic and people, makes me think I may or may not return. A really cool aspect of the experience was the no contact mobile pay. You can scan and pay by card quickly without waiting for the server. A disappointment was that they give out plastic straws with water. We didn't use them, so they probably got thrown away. AMAZING! It was all amazing at True Food Kitchen. Last night, we went to True Food Kitchen with a reservation on OpenTable which we did not need as it was 6:30 pm on a Saturday night same time as Buckeye football. We were seated outside in their covered heated around which was rather hot and kind of hotter than the rest of the restaurant. There were two options while dining, one which was limited contact where you order on an app and they only came over when bringing you food and the other normal service at a restaurant. We chose a waitress, she recommended their seasonal items which again AMAZING. Next time, I want to get one of their fresh pressed drinks. All three of us ordered the Seasonal Salad and two of us got the Butternut Squash Pizza which now we know, we could have shared due to filling up on the salad. I finally got to try this restaurant tonight. I have had my eye on this restaurant since Simone's post on Instagram of the butternut squash pizza. Upon arriving I was warmly greeted by their staff. Shown where I can order my food to go. I browsed through the menu. My husband got the grass fed burger with sweet potato hash. I ordered the butternut squash pizza. The menu is pretty steep in price $16 for both our meals. You pay for the quality ingredients though. Grass fed meat isn't cheap. The pizza was also pretty big for just one person. It had sweet potato, ricotta cheese, caramelized onions and spinach. It was pretty good. I can't wait to come back soon and try more food off their menu. Fresh, amazing food! I was fortunate enough to be invited to their soft opening on 9/19 for lunch. My spouse and I went. The service, ambience, and food was amazing! It can work for a casual lunch, business meeting, or even date night. Area: Great spot in newly developed section of Easton with to-go parking along the curb, and plenty of spots in the lots behind the restaurant. Service: Top notch from Emily, and it appears from all from watching other tables as well. We were there for about an hour and saw staff cleaning and wiping surfaces and doors regularly. Pricing: You can spend a pretty penny if you do drinks, apps, and dishes. It trends on the higher side. Ex. $9 for an appetizer, but WOW is it worth it. Food: The food is fresh, simply prepared but still with complex amazing flavors. The edamame dumplings were my favorite......a must have if you go here. So many places oversalt broths, this was simple, clean, and tasty. I'm not sure but it could have been from scratch broth. The korean bowl was soooo good. Just a perfect hint of spice balanced with sweetness. My wife's salad was crisp and appropriately dressed with a great dressing. The squash pie was shared and plenty big enough and was also great. Whipped cream was sweet but light. Drinks. This was the only downside. I had the bloody mary, and the tomato juice mixer was just too thin. It lost all the flavor when added with the ice and vodka. I thought it was just mine but several tables had one as well and all of them you could see were too diluted. I asked for a shot of the tomato mixer on the side, and it had a really good flavor so I think they just need to work on the consistency of the mixer. If it were not complimentary I would have sent it back. My spouse's bourbon cocktail was delish however. We'll be back to try the flatbreads, and probably plenty of other items. read more

I must admit that given the strong reviews this restaurant has received, I was expecting a lot, and perhaps that's why my disappointment is greater. Let me start by saying the service was excellent. The server was professional, friendly, and attentive. The cocktails were a bit of a mixed bag. My watermelon mojito was tasty but a bit on the "watered down side". My wife's Thai blueberry martini was a bit too syrupy. For the entree I ordered the spicy Panang curry with added salmon. The curry itself was tasty but I would have preferred more of it. This came with a big piece of salmon on top and it just wasn't integrated into the food. My wife ordered the poke. It was a good size platter but not particularly flavorful. I booked online through open table for lunch on this Sunday. Started out with the citrus skinny margarita. Tequila with muddled cucumber, mint and orange round out this simple but delicious cocktail. Ordered the crispy Brussels Sprouts. A nice balance of crispy and savory. Following that starter, I ordered the grilled sustainable salmon. Polenta on the bottom with fresh green vegtables to complement. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the polenta gave it some creamy texture. The best part of the day was the butternut squash pie with coconut cream whip cream. Firm but velvety interior and crispy crust makes this the best pie I have had. Edamame Dumplings: 10/10 - these little dumplings were absolutely amazing and packed with so much flavor! There were 5 total in the bowl, which were split between 3 people and definitely more than enough! The herbs on top really made this dish flavorful. I loved putting the cilantro on top and getting the combination of edamame and cilantro. The dashi and white truffle oil definitely make the dish, as well! Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl: 10/10 - This was my meal and I can definitely say I will be back more for this! I added chicken to this bowl, but feel like it would have been more than enough on its own. There are huge pieces of bok choy that come in the bowl, which are delicious! The teriyaki sauce is to die for. The combination of all of the vegetables really makes the meal! Grilled Sustainable Salmon: 8/10 - My wife ordered this and liked it, but it wasn't her favorite. The best part of her meal was the sweet potato hash, which she had added on. The broccolini has a strong lemon flavor, which I loved! The farro and quinoa have a savory flavor to them, which was surprising to me. I expected more of the cilantro pumpkin seed pesto. This dish is delicious, but doesn't feel like everything goes together as a meal. Ancient Grains Bowl: 10/10 - The miso sesame glazed sweet potatoes are delicious! My mother in law decided to add tofu to her meal and loved this option. Her favorite part was the cilantro pumpkin seed pesto and grains! We decided to try ALL of the desserts because we couldn't pick just one. Vegan Strawberry Cheesecake: 2/10 - Sad day for this dessert. To be fair, the waiter told us that this cheesecake was not sweet. The strawberries on top are the only sweet part of this dessert. You can definitely tell that it is cashew based. It honestly tastes like a sour cream/cream cheese cheesecake with absolutely no sweetness. It is obviously vegan though. Cookies and ice cream: 8/10 - These cookies came out warm and delicious! I'm pretty sure they are made with bananas, considering there is a slight flavor that reminds me of banana. The ice cream is definitely coconut based, as well! We enjoyed these, but they're running up to the flourless chocolate cake. Flourless Chocolate Cake: 20/10 - Absolutely delicious! Everyone pushed the other desserts to the side and started sharing this! There is a warm caramel at the bottom and the chocolate cake, which comes out warm. It reminded us of a chocolate lava cake! We were a party of 7 on a Sunday afternoon and this was my second time at this place. Food: For apps: we ordered the fall flat bread, humus, edamame dumplings, and charred cauliflower. The flatbread and dumplings were clear winners! For entrees: we got the grass fed burger, vegan burger, quinoa bowl with tofu and the sea bass and shared everything. All the food was delicious, light and fresh. (Sorry no pics for the food bc we were SO hungry when it came that everyone jumped in right away haha). The portion has been reduced drastically. It was missing something so I asked for any type of hot sauce as previous locations had sauce they could provide and they didn't have any. Due to the smaller portion, I ordered some shrimp to add to the bowl as well. By the time the shrimp came, I was done with my food. The shrimp tasted like they accidentally poured the whole salt shaker on it and the server looked at me like I was lying... at this point I was completely over it and ready to leave. I wanted to order dessert but decided to go elsewhere. I regret not choosing a local "healthy" spot instead of True Foods. It was truly disappointing. read more

Medium bodied, acidic but not astringent, dry, earthy. For food we tried the edamame dumplings. It was SO good with the truffle oil. The best app I've had in a while. For entrees we ordered the shrimp tacos and squash pizza. They both had great taste but I thought the shrimp tacos were a bit pricy for just two ($19). The shrimp was room temperature, trending cold by the end, since it was topped with an ice cold guacamole as well as cold jicama. The cauliflower rice it came with was such an interesting texture (in a good way)... almost like shredded chicken. It was way too salty though so I did not finish. The squash pizza was a great combo of savory and sweet. Would order that again. And wow I just looked at the menu again and realized the ricotta was vegan almond. Would have never guessed!! Oh my. Where to start. I have visited this location probably five times and have recommended it to others. Unfortunately I can no longer do that. I sat at the counter today with a direct line of sight into the kitchen and saw many unsanitary and disgusting habits that stopped me dead in my tracks from finishing my meal. The first was a waitress who I noticed was scraping all the toppings off a pizza. Once a piece was cleared, she started eating it and then sauntered over to the guy handling food from the cooks at the pass. And she started to eat right there alongside him working with orders and clean dishes to plate food. Later on, that same guy took orders from the pass and started boxing them for takeout on the counter where this waitress's uneaten pizza was. He just pushed her meal aside while working with customers food. Many of the staff water bottles and other drinks adorned this counter. Around the same time one of the chefs (white coat) was behind the counter between two other prep cooks playing on his phone. One of the prep cooks who was I think working the pizza oven was wearing black gloves and started looking at and touching the chefs phone since he had pointed something out to him, while wearing his gloves. Then the pizza cook went back to prepping and making food and eating / taking bites while doing so and didn't change his gloves. It is gross to eat while making other people's food. And trust me, he wasn't doing the chef thing and "tasting" with a spoon or something. He was snacking. It kills me when people in food prep think gloves are there to protect their hands. No! Gloves are there to protect my food from unnecessary bacteria and contaminants. But touching everyone and everything in the kitchen while wearing them does harm! The whole environment was super unprofessional as well as unsanitary. I don't know who the adult in charge was but it wasn't any of these four people. I won't be returning. The place was beautiful inside, but that's the only good thing that I have to say about it. The vibes of everyone working there were very strange. No one was talking to any of their coworkers. People looked miserable for the most part. It was like they were all ignoring everyone else's existence. I felt like every person working there hated everyone else that they worked with. No one was rude to customers, at least, so that's a plus. But I felt uncomfortable waiting for my pickup order because of how odd everyone was acting. Also, I waited 25 mins in the restaurant to pick up my to-go order that I had put in for a 4:30 pickup. I don't think they even started making it until I arrived. There were lots of other people there waiting forever for their pickup orders, as well. I probably would've brushed all of that off if the food had been good, but it wasn't. My husband and I were both really sad. I got the chicken tenders, fries, and honey-glazed carrots. The chicken tenders weren't crispy. The carrots were half-cooked, and most of the fries were burnt black. My husband got the burger and fries. Same thing with his fries-most were burnt. His burger had no flavor. It was a lackluster meal that made us both sad. I wouldn't recommend this location. Not sure if the food is better at other locations, but the environment here was so weird that I think people should probably just avoid it. read more

I have NO IDEA how I missed doing a review for my first visit to True Food Kitchen with Yelp friends back last October 2020. Won't make that mistake again. I've only been to TFK twice, and I'd easily rectify that if I lived closer. The food here is nutrient-dense, healthy and just plain tasty. Their Edamame Guac is incredibly addicting, I've got it both visits, and as long as that starter remains on their menu, I will get it every time. Hands down, it's fresh, the flavors are bold without being overwhelming, and the thin wheat crisps are the perfect delivery method. First time, I got their Grilled Chicken Grain Bowl. Fantastic. Any place that serves their cooked sugar snap peas NOT limp and soggy automatically gets kudos. The bowl is filling, and full of brightly colored veggies, so you know your not getting gypped on quality. My second visit, I shared the Butternut Squash Pizza. The crust had a whole grainish taste, was soft yet just enough chew - very good. The melding of the savory vegan almond ricotta, sweetness from the squash, caramelized onion, and dried cranberries, and the "tart" from the garlic butter was delicious. The thin crust was perfect - not burnt, not undercooked; the pizza, as a whole, I would definitely recommend. The restaurants space is great: tons of large windows and plenty of natural light. Lots of whites, greens and natural wood tones (a personal fav). I really like the design of the building. Very modern! We were sat down at a small table upon arriving, which I was blown away by considering it was 12:50PM on a Saturday. That's almost unheard of at a new restaurant in Easton. We had two waitresses, as one was training. Both were very friendly and got our drinks/food order in good time. It did take a bit longer than normal to get our food, but nothing crazy like 45 minutes. I ordered the teriyaki quinoa bowl and added chicken. Loved the flavor and the amount of veggies! The added protein is a must though because the dish isn't that big. My dad, who is a simple burger and fries kind of guy, really liked the chicken parmesan! The seasoning on the veggies was a little too strong for his taste, but he still enjoyed them. Less sodium in his meal would have been better. It is veryyy loud inside, so don't expect to have a quiet conversation. I had to really speak up to hear my dad sitting right across from me. My boyfriend and I went out to eat this past week after a grueling day of shopping. We needed SUSTENANCE ASAP. The food was immaculate, we had the meatloaf and the edamame dumplings and they were to dieeee for. I can tell a lot of good planning and thought went into the open concept of the restaurant. True Food Kitchen is a must try!! Fairly new to Easton. The restaurant has a beautiful, bright, and clean design. Lots of room to sit, with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was super friendly and helpful, giving me a few recommendations. The menu has a lot of unique, healthy food items - gluten free, vegan, vegetarian options. Everything is super fresh! The first time I went, I got the Cobb salad and it was amazing! I have also had the turkey burger and it was honestly one of the best I've had. Overall a 10/10 experience!! read more

the food was really good!! excellent quality ingredients, the flavour was there especially for subtle flavors loved the spicy ranch and the pizzas the salmon curry was sooo nice and prices were moderate the service was pretty poor unfortunately would love to come back for the food but not sure if i could stand the poor service, maybe take out? read more
