My boyfriend and I went out to eat this past week after a grueling day of shopping. We needed SUSTENANCE ASAP. We had our first experience at the Las Vegas True Food (Caesar's Forum) on a recent trip. So this review is partially based on our fantastic dinner at that location. That said, the Vegas location set our expectations fairly high and we looked forward to dinner at our hometown True Food while introducing it to another couple. Unfortunately, the local restaurant didn't meet expectations and was subpar compared to the Vegas location. And the prices were basically the same. Ambiance: While the building is attractive, the acoustics are horrible. The architect didn't take into account how the sound of other patrons and the kitchen would bounce off all the hard surfaces. Good luck trying to have any real conversations during a semi-busy weekend evening at this location. Food: the plating wasn't nearly as good as the Vegas location. My wife got a salad which had just a couple slices of tomatoes and it was *way* over dressed. I got a bowl with salmon, which was ok, but I'd give the grilling of the salmon a 3 out of 5 as it was a bit dry. The saving grace would be the drinks. The kale tonic was as good as the one in Vegas and the alcoholic drinks were also good. Service was good but not great. It may be a personal preference but when paying $200-$250 for a 4-top sit-down meal we really don't need to see nose piercings on the servers. That said, they were attentive enough. read more

Ordered takeout and got the Brussel sprouts and plant based double cheeseburger with a gluten free bun. I took one bite of the sprouts, spit it out and tossed them. They were soggy and the sauce was really gross which is sad because I love sprouts. The burger was ok. Pretty salty and an interesting flavor. The gluten free bun was good. The simple salad was just lettuce and cucumber. Dressing was good, but overall for the price I felt it was pretty lacking. Recommend Northstar before I'd go back here. read more

I'm so impressed with their anti inflammatory menu and knowing I can literally order anything without worries of hidden ingredients that leave me aching is so attractive! They are doing an excellent job with social distancing on the inside (although I just picked up, I did walk around). I love the decor - it's so fresh and inviting. Stopped in while in town. I'm not the most adventurous eater so I stayed in my zone with the chicken sandwich. The pickled jalepenos were a great addition as well as the slaw. I chose the potatoes vs the kale salad.... they were fine... nothing exciting. I will say that I ordered a Bourbon and diet to drink not realizing they have NO soda options .... so I stayed with water. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. Me and my girlfriend wanted to escape on a bit of a road trip and we had to make a stop here. The Staff here was warm and friendly from the moment we were greeted at the door until the moment we left. We even got a beautiful seat outside. Even has heat lamps for when it's a bit colder out. I love the atmosphere, menu offerings, and concept. The food is locally sourced, organic when possible and most often healthy and satisfying. All diet modifications have options ( meat, seafood, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free). The only drawback is it is pricy for the portion size, but the quality is great! read more

This spacious, beautiful restaurant is just what we needed to come to the Easton area. With ample parking nearby, it's a great place to meet friends. COVID precautions were definitely in place, and everything was so clean. The seasonal menu has delicious options; I tried the edamame dumplings as my lunch, although it was listed was a starter. Can't wait to try more items! My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is price point. I understand the ingredients are quality, fresh and seasonal, but I can't seem to justify the high price point on a few of the items, and there really isn't much under 10 bucks to choose from. When the ambiance of the restaurant is more casual with lighter portions, I would maybe expect to find at least a couple of menu items or a salad for under 10. For example, my tea was 5 dollars, the dumplings were over $10. Don't get me wrong, they were great! But there are definitely other options around to pick up similar items for less. We had our first bad experience here today. We went for lunch today. Our server was wonderful, so it's nothing on her. My adult daughter ordered the spinach, lemon ricotta and mushroom sourdough pizza. It was covered in a heavy layer of red pepper flakes or red chili flakes. It was so spicy it was not edible. There was nothing on the menu that told us this was one of the ingredients. It seems like such an odd thing to put on a spinach, mushroom and ricotta pizza . I tasted it and I agreed we couldn't eat it. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She comped us the pizza and made another one without the red flakes on top. That one was delicious. I ordered the Hawaiian fried rice. Again, it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Both my eyes and my nose were running. I don't like super spicy food and there was nothing on the menu that alluded to an ingredient that would make it like that. I told our server I would just take it home and another family member could have it. I had only eaten two bites. I didn't ask for it to be comped. She suggested the meatloaf and I went ahead and ordered that. It wasn't really meatloaf though. It was a square chopped steak patty. It didn't taste anything like meatloaf. Much more like a chopped steak square hamburger. The gravy and the mushrooms were seasoned correctly and they were delicious but the roasted potatoes that came with the meal seemed almost raw. They had been cut in half and , seared on a grill or frying pan but they seemed like they hadn't been cooked before hand. It was difficult to cut them with a knife and they could not be eaten. I didn't want to be that person who complained about every meal we got and we had already told them the first two things we ordered were not edible. So I boxed up that meal and took it home as well. I'm going to re-cook it this weekend and hopefully salvage it. For two people, we ended up ordering four meals, one was comped. The bill came to $75 and with tip I spent 90$. Love the concept of this restaurant. Fresh, healthy, locally sourced food. We came in for lunch. Love the set up and ambience. Big windows with lots of natural light. The staff was friendly and we were seated immediately. Lots of vegetarian options. Craft cocktails looked good. My wife had the espresso martini which was tasty. We tried the cauliflower appetizer and edamame dumplings. The cauliflower was very good, I loved the pistachios and the dates gave it just the right amount of sweetness. For lunch I had the turkey burger. The burger is a ground turkey patty. I was impressed with the thickness of the burger. It was a bit under seasoned. The side of sweet potato hash that came with it was underwhelming and forgettable. My wife had the special ingredient salad with tofu and found it to be very fresh and flavorful. Very poor experience! First of all, we love True Food. We are huge fans of the Oakbrook location & had a wonderful experience at the King of Prussia location just days before this. We tried to save you another bad review, but no one from this location or the home/corporate office that we tried multiple times got back to us (with exception of an initial text for more info which we responded to & never heard back). Our visit was on November 2nd, and it has now been approximately 2 weeks. We have very serious allergies, & I informed our server of this when we ordered. We carry EpiPens at all times (severe type allergies). We go to True Food for this very reason, this is what they specialize in right? We understand this is annoying for a server & are apologetic but also very clear. We had driven seven hours from the Allentown area specifically to try this location, having just attended my Mother-in -law's funeral the night before. This was the big thing we were doing to cheer both my husband & my daughter up. We made a reservation (arrived early) & were on a mission. The hostess who sat us was very kind, & we were very eager to order. My go-to drink is the black iced tea, & I had been dreaming of this the whole drive, but when our server Elena brought it, it was both extremely cloudy & bitter. We politely asked for a new one, & she told me she would have to go & look. She went back to the line cooks, seemed to ask about it, & they were laughing. She explained that they were "out", & that the shipment was not there yet. I found this both disappointing & odd especially since I know this is a staple at every location & something just seemed off. Fine, she offered me the same drink as my husband which was not great. We ordered our food, the apps were fine, but our entrees were off. The food was frankly gross compared to what we have experienced at other locations. We understand cooking methods can vary, but this was significantly different, akin to diner type food. The turkey burger I received was filled with black pepper, overwhelmingly so & most definitely inedible. It had what looked like cheese (which I am allergic to) with mushrooms & onions & immediately made me sick. My husband's burger was missing mushrooms & onions. The sweet potato hash can also vary, but this was very different- huge chunks of sweet potatoes & onions underdone. Fine, we got my replacement burger which was missing the onions & mushrooms - they sent me out the same undercooked poor tasting ones they gave my husband. This whole process took awhile, & by the time I actually got my food they were pressuring us to finish. We ordered the only edible things to go which were the apps we had (which they also messed up). We were given the check. We didn't get the coconut milk ice cream my husband & daughter love and were looking forward to, & the whole situation was just kind of miserable. My husband feels the whole staff needs retraining, particularly the cooks. Allergies can be very serious, & I'm glad it didn't turn into a critical event with all their errors. In fact, we have never had an experience where restaurant staff has messed up to this extent. Ellis was the only one who made any effort to make things right, and she got me my iced tea. I eat lunch or dinner here everytime I come to Columbus for work (every other month). The food is great, service is friendly, and nice interior design. It is expensive but, in this case, you get what you pay for - in a good way. When I cook healthy, organic, sustainable, etc. at home I realize how expensive the ingredients are. This review is after being here TWICE. First time I went was after going to CM Chicken which was awesome so I wanted to eat "clean" and "fresh" so I ordered some type of Natural Grains Power Grains bowl or something with Salmon. It was pricey and I felt like the Salmon could've been bigger. This time we went on the weekend and apparently true or not you need reservations to sit on the patio on the weekends. Come on folks, don't care if Intel is coming here or not, its still Columbus OH and NOT LA, NEW YORK or MIAMI, come up off your high horse and open up your patio reservation or not! The bowl was good and fresh like I expected. It was ordered during brunch hours so I should've told them to add a fried sunny side up egg which would've set this bowl off. Wife ordered their grass fed burger which was awesome and the kiddo got a kids pizza which the wife was in love with but personally I felt was fresh but meh because it has little sauce, little cheese, and no meats or toppings but kids don't care. The cocktails were good and the beer I had was good as well. The second time so went I got the Grassfed burger and the wife got some kind of Panang Curry dish with chicken. Burger was awesome, curry was meh to me because it was heavy on veggies with little chicken yet the wife loved it, and the kiddo got the same pizza again and it seemed like it had less cheese and sauce than the first time. Also this time we were able to sit on the patio which had us questioning what changed from the weekend when we first came here. The only difference was that the first time it was the weekend and the second time it was a weekday. Both times the service was excellent. Young lady with the braids was about her business and extremely professional and expedient and succinct both times. If you read all my posts then you know customer service is HUGE with me. The first time I went to true food I got the chicken wrap, and the second time I got the roasted squash and ricotta panini. I thought the chicken wrap was very average, but my mom and sister love it so I think what it comes down to is if you like a warm or cold wrap. I prefer warm, so this wrap wasn't my favorite. The ingredients are high quality, but it reminded me of something I can easily make at home. I enjoyed the roasted squash and ricotta panini! I loved the flavors and enjoyed the sides. I was really underwhelmed by this food. I ordered the acorn squash flatbread, hummus and pita, seasonal veggie salad with tofu, and the squash pie. Everything was just okay. I would compare the quality to that of Panera or maybe slightly below Panera quality but way more pricey. The flatbread arrived cold and was very bland despite the many unique-sounding toppings. The hummus tasted like store-bought hummus. The salad was decent but the tofu was not crispy or seasoned at all-- certainly not worth the 4$ extra. I wouldn't recommend dining here. read more

I had been really itching to try this place and was finally able to drop in. The atmosphere is very cute and fitting for the menu, the seats however are veryyyy uncomfortable. My friend asked to switch chairs (which our server was no help with) just to find out the other chair was equally uncomfortable. So while the seats put a slight damper on your time, the drinks are fabulous. I was able to try both the skinny and strawberry margaritas and a glass of wine, all of which were excellent! We ordered the cauliflower appetizer but never received it. Our waitress, was a little less than helpful. I asked about dietary needs and she said she would check with the kitchen and never came back with the info. I was able to figure it out online luckily and ordered the spaghetti squash, dairy free and it was delicious. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her meal too. There were a lot of other items I wanted to try on the menu and since the food was so good, I'll try my luck with the staff again, and maybe sit at the bar next time. This was my first visit to True Food Kitchen in Easton and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and drinks. After reading a few reviews and seeing the food that was coming out of the kitchen I knew I had to visit. Since this was a dry January visit, I decided to go with a non-alcoholic beverage and their menu was plentiful with a nice selection of beverages without alcohol. I went with the OG which was a nice combination of Lemon, Lime, and Ginger juices. It was delicious and definitely hit the spot since I was still recovering from the flu a week earlier. We started out with sharing the chicken sausage pizza and it was cooked perfectly. I noticed they cooked it in their pizza oven so it's definitely a handy item to have on hand if you're churning out pizzas. The sausage was excellent and had a nice spice to it. My chicken mozzarella panini was the start of the show. The broccolini inside had a nice bitter accent to the sweet sauce accompanied by the thin sliced chicken and mozzarella cheese. The bread was perfectly toasted and nice and thin. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu, which is seasonal! read more
