Our last few visits at True Food Kitchen has been really disappointing. Out of the 10 times we've been here, only 3 visits had good service. The last couple times were the worst. They forgot about us. Forgot our food. Most recently, the food also hasn't been consistent. The flavors were the same, a lot of the dishes were super salty or bland. Also, they got rid of the Good Earth Kale Cobb. Their food and drinks are pricey. I expect much better from them. We won't be coming to this location anymore. read more

I visited True Food Kitchen today for lunch and it was the perfect choice. I ordered the brussel sprouts for my appetizer and they were scrumptious. They weren't too hard or too soft. The combination of the ingredients in the dish is perfect. The pickled Fresnos and ginger soy glaze are really good together. For my main course I ordered the Sustainable salmon and that was also very delicious. All of the ingredients were fresh and the snap peas were very crisp. The Thai basil vinaigrette is freshly made and it is the perfect dressing for that dish. I tried the Chai cake for my dessert and it was moist. It actually tasted like Chai amd the flavor wasn't overwhelming. The staff was friendly. My waitress was Christina. She was very attentive and nice. All of my dishes came out quickly. We stopped by on I believe Monday and didn't realize it was more of like a cafeteria style. I was waiting for my friend and I was seated and then I saw three white staff just standing over on the side chatting and no one ever came over to me and I thought well that's not a good sign And I finally asked someone walking by. Can I see a menu and they got me a menu and then the food it was happy hour wasn't very good at all. The buffalo tenders were really overcooked. Where to start with True Food Kitchen, let's go with the service first. The service is great, our waitress was super cordial, she was attentive but not hovering, drinks came out fast, food as well. Everyone is polite, fun, willing to answer any random questions you have (like hows the KaleAid! Which I definitely recommend to those who enjoy a more savory drink but don't want anything alcoholic.) The ambience is upbeat very modern. I enjoy the color pallet and the architecture of the space it's nice and open. There is a small problem in the bathrooms, the music is too loud so you knock and cannot hear a response and there are small fruit flies buzzing around. I'll chaulk that up to summer however. Food and drinks are awesome. The KaleAid was great, nice, spicy, and complex on the tongue very satisfying. And the Blackberry Limeaid was great, refreshing and just that burst of hydration needed after walking a couple miles. The pizzas were fantastic. I love the fact that there's a seasonal menu here, and I love even more that it's based around an anti-inflammatory diet. The spinach and mushrooms pizza was excellent, a nice crisp crust coupled with just the right amount of cheese with lots of delicious mushrooms and spinach on it, the woody notes of the mushrooms really were the highlight of my pizza. We ate at this restaurant today for a late lunch. I ordered a salad with tofu. The salad was fine but I was surprised it didn't even come with a roll or piece of baguette. (Even Panera gives you a piece of baguette, apple, or chips). My husband ordered an egg entree but they were out of some of the ingredients. My husband chose another entree and the waiter came back and said they were also out of some of the ingredients for that entree. Finally, my husband was able to substitute the bison for salmon. While eating his entree he said it was very salty. At that point we should have sent it back to the kitchen. read more

I LOOOVE their food and honestly you can't go wrong with any dish there or even their drinks (non-alcoholic or alcoholic). True Food Kitchen always seemed to have a certain vibe when I walked passed it but yesterday we went to eat dinner before our movie and it was fun! First off our waiter Andrae was so knowledgeable and about the menu and the different flavor profiles in each dish we asked about and it made it super difficult not to order half the menu. The kitchen makes everything from scratch h and it the taste is as clean as it gets. They don't serve anything inflammatory (like sugar, sodas and other critical ingredients) so I feel super safe here if you are on a strict diet. The the protein add ins are pretty pricey, and come with the mindset that if you ask for cranberry juice...it's NOT ocean spray! Meaning you're getting cranberries juices and nothing else! So ask for two sides of agave to sweeten up the drink (or any of the drinks for that fact (unless you get the apple lemonade which was good and sweet in its own). Def try this place out! This place is the new SPOT for Rio & Crown!!! The food is so so good and the menu is great for anyone! I'm Vegan and I have more than enough options for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I also felt very overpriced - $53 for two people. The funny part in a disappointing way, was receiving the check. They wanted to scan a QVC code for the check instead of paper to 'help the environment' But I went to use the bathroom and guess what - paper towels! Anyone else see the irony. We went for brunch on a Sunday morning. I want to start by saying everyone was very nice and our server was very attentive and overall this was generally a positive experience. However, this is just not going to be worth your while for brunch specifically. I got a farmers market hash, which maybe had 1 small piece of beef and some assorted veggies and potatoes. It was fine but it was like 18$ for some eggs and a small piece of beef. My girlfriend and her mother had breakfast tacos which were 2 small tacos which also had a small piece of beef and some cold eggs.
