The Service manager, Tina, passed me off to one of her subordinates who didn't know the difference between up and down. For ten minutes this person danced around my question regarding the issue with the battery being drained. This guy had the nerve to tell me he knew nothing about the class action lawsuit against Subaru on this issue, draining batteries. He danced around a yes or no question and could not promise me that if I bought a new 2024 Subaru it would not have this same issue. In 2023 alone my 2019 Subaru Outback had 3 different batteries installed. By surfing the internet, we found this was a common problem with different Subarus, including my Outback. Bottom line is the Antelope Valley Subaru dealership will not cop up to this problem. This guy tried to blame it on a feature that my model doesn't' even have. I will never deal with Antelope Valley Subaru again. "I hate being lied to"!!!! And shame on Tina for not addressing my problem. read more

When I came in , Gus my service adviser greeted me with a smile and was very welcoming especially for it being 7 am . He explained in detail what my car needed and then asked if I had any questions . The technician Jonathan , was very thorough and left my car in very clean condition. He then made sure to let me know that I might need tires the next service and noticed my trunk latch button was loose . He told me Gus and him were working on ordering a new one for me and that it would be covered under warranty ... awesome !! I then saw my previous go to writer Jerry who is always sweet . He made sure after he was done with the customer he was helping to stop by and say hello and make sure that I was helped out . Talk about rockstar customer service by all three of these gentlemen!! Sometimes up to 30-45 min just to check my car in for a scheduled appointment. I drive from canyon country to get my car serviced since the Subaru dealership closed here. I took my brand new 2019 Impreza in a week ago for a charged coil recall, brakes squeeling issue, and malfunctioning radio. The radio has to be ordered so I leave and wait for a call. A week passes, not even a call for an update. I call to get the update and schedule an appointment myself. I talk to parts and then service. A woman picks up at 10:04AM 12/30, I don't remember her name. But pretty much doesn't care I'm driving far just to get the car fixed. No solution is offered. I hang up before I let my emotions get the best of me. I call back and Jerry picks up at 10:50am. I request a time and day to drop the car off. I explain the situation again to a different representative and the entire time he interrupts and talks over me. I even ask my wife who's listening the entire time if this guy's coming off as sarcastic or if it's me. It's not just me. I finish getting the appointment before this escalates, it gets to the point where I'm still talking and he keeps repeating louder and louder "you're all set, YOU'RE ALL SET". So I hang up. My wife and I are in the market of buying another car. I wanted it to be a Subaru with eyesight. Dealing with this nonsense has changed our minds completely. This incident combined with this many issues occurring on a one year old car has inspired me to seek out a lemon law lawyer and never return here again. Thank you Subaru Dealership of Lancaster. I was never reached out to by the service director Brian Coleman like Business Manager Sandy R. stated they would. Most likely a automated message when a negative review is left. My wife takes my car in since I have to go to work. She arrives at the pre-determined appointment at 10:30AM on 1/6/20. She is told it will take 2 hours for the repair. The repair is changing out a radio. She is waiting until approximately 3:30PM for them to finish. Keep in mind, this is with an appointment. I think everything is fine and finally over until I drive my car at 5:45AM on 1/7/20 the next day and to my horror find that nobody bothered checking if the radios USB functioned even worked. It is suppose to read USBs and load Android Auto. It does not recognize anything connected to the USB ports. Not USB media, not android phones. The repair was not done correctly by the technician. It is utterly despicable to ignore a customer by not reaching out to them for a simple update about the parts ordered for their future repair, then treat them with disrespect when they call in to get a check up and service appointment. On top of it all, double the time for the supposed repair when taken in, then because of negligence in checking the functionality of the repair, leave it incomplete with issues. I purchased a used 2017 Impreza last June from this dealership and I can't say for sure whether it was the salesman's lack of knowledge about the vehicle or whether they were aware and just wanted to sell it ASAP, but I came to discover the car had issues the dealership failed to disclose after I already purchased it and brought it home. The first issue was the car was not equipped with a truck lid button despite being led to believe it was. I emailed the salesman Mike the next day after purchasing the car let him know the button was not working, he replied with a couple troubleshooting tips to try before he scheduled a service appointment. I would have rather been told from the beginning that my car doesn't actually come equipped with a trunk button but rather dummy rubber plug instead. It took a trip to the dealership service department and waiting for 45 minutes before one of the service representatives informed me of this. I was annoyed over the waste of time but I let that go. My second issue is that the vehicle was sold to me with a slow leak in the rear passenger tire. When I was initially picked up by the salesman Mike in the car, I noticed the tire pressure light was on and asked him about it. He dismissed it as something to do with a type of nitrogen air the dealership inflates the tires with that sets it off and it was just a matter of resetting it. One week later the light came on again so I checked the pressure on all 4 tires and noted the rear passenger tire pressure was more that 10 PSI lower that the other three. At first I thought no big deal, filled it up and issue solved. Well, the tire pressure light turned on again 2 weeks later with the same issue in the rear passenger tire in less than a month of having the vehicle and continues to turn on and have me top off the tire every couple of weeks which leads me to believe that the tire pressure light being on the first time when I was picked me up was no coincidence. Third issue: in the same first month I found out that the heated seat function for the front seats does not work (unless the buttons are dummies too, although it's listed as INCLUDED feature on the sticker price). I emailed the salesman Mike about all of these problems in the first month of owning the car and got no reply. I came up on my first oil change last week and called the dealership to schedule a service appointment. Naturally I brought up all the problems I was having again and was transferred a sales rep (Wes/Was). He heard me out and said he would talk to the service department to make sure they were aware and that these issues would be fixed during my oil change appointment. Well the service appointment came and went and none of these issues were resolved, much less even brought up. By now I am just fed up with how unacceptable this experience has turned out. As a customer of this dealership and a fan of Subaru (this is my second), I don't see any excuse for Mike not bringing any of these problems to my attention before I purchased the vehicle and much less Wes/Was for failing to make sure the service department was aware of the problems after talking to him about ALL OF THIS over the phone. And now I'm left responsible for having these issues fixed on my own. I certainly would have appreciated full disclosure of the issues this used car has prior to me purchasing it or at the very least assistance in trying to make this right. The epitome of scummy car sales men. Ive attempted to conduct business on three occasions spanning seven years. On all three attempts the salesmen have done everything in their power to Lie Cheat and Steal from me. My latest incident i attempted to sell my 2018 WRX, i set up an appointment that they recommended. They argued that my brand new tires were bad. That my body lines did not match up. We get to the table and they submitted their offer of $6000 under KBB trade in value for a trade. (They only had 10-15 cars on the lot for sale) I expressed that i had set up an appointment for a sale, not a purchase. The salesman got mad and claimed the manager had left when i arrived. Ive purchased two Subarus from other Subaru dealerships. Always treated like royalty. Sangera subaru in Bakersfield has fed me, offered me soda, coffee, water. AV subaru goes as far as giving you directions to a paper cup to fill with tap water if you need a drink. I ended up selling my car for my full asking price to Carmax. read more

This review is based on the service department only, not sales. I went in because my ac was only working at high speeds. I paid $165 for a diagnosis. I was called and told the diagnosis read I only needed a freon recharge and was told they completed that service. When I picked up my car, the ac did not work at all. I took my car home due to a personal issue. I contacted tech right away. I was told no worries and bring car back. Yet, when I arrived this morning I was told I would have to pay $165 once again. Claiming its a new diagnosis. Its bullshit. They never resolves my issue. Now they have audacity to charge again. If this was going to be the case, they should have just told me to leave my car vs telling me to come back at later time. The manager would not take accountability for anything. They didnt even look at the pre ious notes mechanic wrote. I recommend you dont leave the lot if this ever happens to you. read more

First of all they replied late, then when we finally agreed on a price their manager john promised to deliver the vehicle to me next day and asked me to go through everything via phone call , I gave all of my info including Insured the vehicle they asked me to , I did everything when all of sudden they texted me that the vehicle has already been sold to someone else with cash in hand waiting . I mean seriously ? I couldn't go there , just because the dealership was like 85 miles away and as per their website they promise to deliver the vehicle to you . I had my car in their service dept 6 times for the same brake concern. I will never, ever take it there again. The 5th time they finally addressed the concern. But after 6 months the brake issue returned. I brought it back to be diagnosed, again. After a month I was told it was fine and that they could not duplicate my concern, which is complete nonsense. Another 2 months went by, when an employee reached out to me to ask if I was still in the loaner, they didn't even know my car was still there? I was beyond disappointed. Then they started texted me, stating that I needed to return the loaner car or they would report it stolen. I was appalled by this. I then made plans to pick my car up, because I was done with them. They did wash my vehicle, so they get 1 star. I contacted Subaru of America, who genuinely want to make it right. I'll be taking my vehicle to the Subaru dealership in Valencia, in hopes that they will be serious about fixing my car. read more

When I arrived, Service claimed they didn't have me down for an appointment but they can still get me in....but it would be 2 hours wait. Are you serious? How difficult could it be to first, MAKE the damn appointment properly and second, maybe offer a different time of the day where I wouldn't have to wait for an excessive amount of time? No thanks. Add to that, they don't wash your car, they give you a carwash voucher so you have to waste even more of your own time getting this shit done. read more

Once again my sons WRX is in the service department. We had it there for the 3rd time last month due to check engine light being on. It was there for over a week with loaner car to be told the light was on because he filled the gas with the key in the ignition. He didn't but they accused him and finally cleared the code and sent him on his way. On Friday last week the light came on again so we dropped it off. Finally heard back from them today again having to make several arrangements due to no loaner car to finally be told that it has a bad gas cap causing the issue. We will order it and it should be in, in about a week or so. Guess none of the new ones they have in stock have a gas cap they could put on it. So tired of this car and the significant problems it has caused him and us. He has had it for 7 months now and it has been in service for about 4 to 5 weeks of that. So far. They are far to busy not informing the customers of the progress then actually taking care of them. Worst buying decision we have ever made on a car. 1st repair... New clutch after 3k miles of owning as well as a new top end and rod. Couple of weeks 2nd repair... Bad intake. Had for almost 2 weeks 3rd repair... Check engine light..Told we filled gas while key was in ignition. No. Had it for a week or so. 4th repair... Check engine light again. Now told because of bad gas cap which of course not in stock and not diagnosed the first time it was in. Had for almost a week before part ordered. Thanks Next time please sell us two cars so we have a backup and a way to work when this 2015 WRX constantly breaks down. read more

Having a new car get hit with some recalls is never fun but they were able to set me up for an appointment without any hiccups and once I arrived they took care of me from the time I pulled in. This is based on my experience with the service department. I went to Subaru Antelope Valley for simple maintenance around May 2022 such as Oil Change, check fluids and rotate tires. The service consultant sold me on a over $500 and I agreed because I figured they are professionals. when I picked up the car the next day they told me I have a hole in my oil tank and they even took pictures, but that I think about it how do I know this is my car. I said I will talk to my husband and paid what I owe and left. In December 2022 I went to Subaru Palm Springs to get my air conditioner repaired, Oil Change and the usual check the fluids and rotate the tires and possibly change the battery as it is old and corroded. When I came back, they fixed the conditioner, replaced the battery, oil change and tap off the fluids. when I asked if there is a hole in the oil tank, they said no. I paid less than $500 and left. Basically, Subaru Antelope Valley are liars, cheat and very unprofessional. They took advantage of a senior citizen and made me believe that they are honest and professionals. I was so very wrong. Shame on this company. Never have your car repaired here. I know the other dealership is so far but if are able to use other auto repair place that specialize in Subaru go there instead. read more

Shame on you, Antelope Valley repaired the front, right and left cv boots twice: The first time, on November 14, 2014. The second time on July 10, (at no charge to me) due to failure of initial repair. The third repair was completed by AAMCO on August 4, 2015, due to another failure of the front cv boots. I incurred expenses as a result of the cost to repair the front cv boots by another repair shop. After paying for all of the expenses we incurred: towing, car rental, estimate from Galpin Subaru, and repair cost paid to AAMCO, I returned to Antelope Valley Subaru and spoke to David Boyle, service manager. I explained that our car broke down on the freeway, and we were towed into Galpin Subaru for repairs, had to rent a car. and pay AAMCO for repairing my Subaru. David apologized and asked what they [AV Subaru], needed to do to make it right. I explained that all I wanted was to be reimbursed for the expenses we incurred. He said he would speak to his manager. When my wife, Diane, picked up the Subaru later that afternoon, she was told, the dealer would reimburse all but the $115, that Galpin Subaru invoiced for their diagnostic estimate. After hearing this news from my wife, I spoke to David, explaining that I shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes or defective parts. I requested to be paid the $115 due to me and I was told no. Too bad, after owning nine Subaru's, we just bought a Hyundai. read more

They didn't try to push all the "extras" on you and were very accommodating.
