Great sushi and an even greater price. Happy hour all day long! I've been wanting to come here for a while because of the happy hour prices, and I finally was able to get my sushi fix on a Friday night. Usually, the parking in the plaza is very busy during lunch on weekdays, but since I came later (around 9 pm), it wasn't too bad. We were seated right away, and you can choose to sit inside or outside the restaurant. We ordered a lot of rolls, including the red dragon roll, Alaskan roll, tiger roll, unagi sushi, and a lot more. All of which were delicious, especially for the price. I even tried uni for the first time here, and it was so buttery, delicious, and melted in my mouth. We also got a pitcher of Sapporo for a very good price. I can't wait to come back here again! Service was good, and the food was even better. The food was still good and enjoyable, but towards the end of tonights experience they were forcing us to pay a minimum 15 percent tip for a table of 4. The lady working in the front who may or may not be the owner is extremely rude and disrespectful. I ordered my food online to pick up and when I arrived I immediately said hello and gave her my first name, last name as soon as I entered the door and explain that I was there to pick up my order. She was extremely rude and asked me to show her my drivers license, I then stated that I would not show my drivers license, but I do have a copy of my business card with my picture on it, and I handed it to her and I described my order. I also told her the contents of my order, but FOR SOME REASON that still was not good enough for her. I then explained to her that it was offensive what she was doing, and she examined my business card with "my picture" multiple times like she was the police trying to ID a suspect!! Lol!! Finally she reluctantly handed me my food. The hard thing about this experience is that there was no one else in the entire restaurant, there were no other orders waiting to be picked up and I was there at a very low volume time (3:30pm on a Tuesday) so it was impossible for me to be picking up any other order then what I was there for. This is one of my go-to Sushi spots as it's located close to my home and work. The menu is pretty large so there should be options for everyone. My personal favorites are the crunch roll, baked salmon roll, and the spicy tuna roll. The miso soup is also a good touch or a bowl of simple plain rice is also good as a side. I've always enjoyed their food quality and haven't had any issues with it. The food price is low. They also have happy hour which includes my primary choices on it. For two I usually end up spending between $19 to $23. This is cheap for sushi. The restaurant is always clean including the bathroom which is nice. Seating and wait time can be difficult at times. Often times I get a seat pretty quick, but there have been a few occasions especially with larger parties that can take 20-30 minutes. The food does take a while to come out here since they make it fresh. Service isn't that great. Most waiters are nice but the owner seems to be less interested. She mostly will check your bill out but will hardly say thank you or pay Much attention to you. I don't like that much. Service is not continuous either, it takes forever to get a refill on beverages or to add items. Overall, this place isn't a bad sushi spot especially if you want good quality at an affordable price. **This review was based on trying this place more than 30 times. My friends and I were craving sushi as usual and decided to check out this place since we were in the area. It has happy hour all day every day basically. 50% off most of their rolls? Can't beat that ! We ordered lots of different rolls like spicy tuna, rainbow, dragon , etc . We even got different types of sashimi. We didnt think the fish tasted THAT fresh and it was just okay. A major problem that we did have was their soy sauce tasted SO salty. It was even the " less sodium" one. I arrive at 9:30 when they usually close when I hear they did not make my order and claimed that they have called both my number and the number the order was on which was not the case at all because there simply just wasn't any calls made to neither of the numbers and to say what? So they did not make a 78.00 dollar worth of food for guests just cause of one item They did not have. And claimed that they have contacted both numbers which is the most upsetting part of my experience because there was not a call made. So I asked them to call the number that they claimed to have tried contacting and the lady refused as to be expected because she did not even write it down to begin with. Overall never thought something would get me this upset to go out of my way and write a review for but trusushi is just not the place if you want to eat and have a good time with a peace of mind.
