    Deluxe Tsukemen

TLDR: A rebranded tsukemen spot that failed to recapture the magic of the original richness pre-rebrand. Although I'm a bit disappointed, it doesn't mean that the place is no longer worth a visit. Deluxe Tsukemen (L): The highlight of the meal is the chashu. The chashu is up there in terms of taste, the egg was very good, and you do get a good amount of noodles for the large order. The noodle-to-soup ratio is also good, meaning you will have a spoonful or two scoops of soup as long as you just dip the noodles in the soup and not really drink the tsukemen soup while eating. My disappointment mainly comes from the soup and the general drop in richness. The contents inside the soup are still good if not great, and the taste is fine, but I do feel that it's a half step worse than the last time I was there. Karaage: Soy glazed chicken karaage that's at an okay size, but more than makes up for it with its juiciness. It took them a while to give it to me, so I knew it was fresh off the fryer, and it was. I enjoyed this, but what would've made it better is if the chicken was bigger. Ambiance: Good. Spacious corner property that's well illuminated in the morning, and well lit at night. I've been here when it's full, and it didn't feel crowded at all. Service: Good. It was during a slow time of the day though, so idk how the current staff and kitchen would handle the pressure during a full house.

My first time trying tsukemen and think I will be sticking to ramen in the future. It's located in a busy plaza and there is a parking lot underground. The lot was surprisingly packed for a Sunday night but we were seated right away at the restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and I out food came out quickly. I ordered the Chashu tsukemen which came with a generous amount of chewy noodles and the side of thick broth. The broth was lukewarm and on the saltier side. Although, I enjoyed the texture of the noodles and the chashu was tasty. This spot was just alright, definitely not something I would be craving or needing to go back to.

WOW- BEST RAMEN I HAVE EVER HAD! WISH I ATE IT THERE! Service: 5/5 The man at the front door was just so nice. I made a to-go order and holy cow it was packed! The place was very clean, I absolutely loved the decor. This small restaurant is such a vibe. Parking: -000000/5 This was the first and last time due to the parking LOL It was insane! I have never experienced like that in my life and honestly I will either DoorDash or hope someone at work will pickup for me LOL Food: 10/5 The noodles were amazing- THAT BROTH IS AWARD WINNING! The only thing that wasn't so great was the seaweed (I do wish it would be outside of the bowl) so I threw it away. Other than that, this bowl was absolutely amazing. All around: 10/5. I will 100% order this ramen again. That thick broth is just incredible!

Delicious ramen spot! This is definitely premium ramen, and you can taste the difference. I tried both the Ajitama and Deluxe Tonkotsu ramen, and they're basically the same. the difference I notice is that the Deluxe just comes with 4 extra slices of chashu and 2 extra pieces of seaweed so it's not worth paying more. However, the broth is rich, creamy, and flavorful without being overly salty. It comes with Hakata-style noodles which are my favorite & they're cooked perfectly and really soak up the broth. The chashu is tender, thinly sliced, and melts in your mouth. The bowl also comes with wood ear mushrooms, egg, green onions, and seaweed. The bowl is pretty simple, but it works really well together. They also have a spicy paste you can get on the side, and it adds a nice kick and extra flavor without overpowering the ramen. My only complaint is that I wish the Deluxe came with a bigger portion. The extra toppings are nice, but the bowl size is exactly the same, so it doesn't really feel like a "deluxe" upgrade. I'll just stick with the Ajitama.

Ambiance: nice Japanese wano-esque music Service: excellent, my husband had to step out for a call and so the dipping sauce was cold. Without needing to ask, our waitress kindly replaced it and was very understanding and accommodating with our stroller Food: for some reason, I do feel that when it was under Tsujita the noodles tasted better. The cha shu was a bit salty and overcharred to my taste. Overall for about $23 per person, I do wish I could have enjoyed it a bit more

This was Killer Noodle, then Tsujita, and now Tsuke! I'll always miss the extremely numbing and spicy noodles from Killer Noodle, but alas, it's not palatable to weak non spice eaters. But I digress. Set up and the way you eat the tsukemen. Dip the noodles, enjoy it with the slice of lime juice added in. Very rich strong broth, a bit salty but if you space it out with the noodles (chewy and delicious texture), making sure you get it to cover the noodles as much as you can, it events out. Can never go wrong with ramen soft gooey yolk eggs and the nori adds a bit of crunch so long as you keep it dry. Generous portion, a little bit more than halfway through I was getting full. Ambiance is a bit fancier and nicer looking with a bit more modern decor (similar to when they were Tsujita). I came on a weekday for a later lunch and there was no line or wait. Seated immediately, though there were a couple other customers. Staff were friendly and welcoming and food came out quickly too.

Drinks menu (alcoholic offerings). The Yuzu Beer is amazing.

Been wanting to come back since its rebranding from Tsujita. Arrived full of excitement and anticipation, and left with so happy and full! Expectations exceeded indeed! We went early to avoid the dinner crowd, and were seated promptly even though we were waiting for two more to join us. The super nice young man working there brought us water while we waited without us asking, and embodied the nicest, most friendly, patient and attentive service throughout the rest of our evening even though he was the only server working. My favorites from before were the Deluxe Tonkotsu Ramen, Takoyaki, and the Spicy Gyoza (I ask for spicy on the side), and all three tasted just as scrumptious as I had remembered, if not better. Of note, I actually was not a fan of takoyaki until this establishment made me a fan, with that crispy outer shell and just such savorily creaminess on the inside. The gyoza was lightly fried, perfectly, with.one of the best fresh meat filling ever! The ramen here became my new favorite in the SGV area from before, and remains deservedly so with that dreamily richly flavorful broth, fresh noodles, thinly sliced chaushu, and perfectly cooked eggs. The new menu also boasts some new specialties, so we also ordered their Jiro Style Ramen. In a word, WOW! The rich broth was gloriously garlicky in all the best ways, and the crunch from the cabbage and bean sprouts accompanied the thicker ramen noodles just slurp-fully perfect. To note, my bf, who really does not like bean sprouts (not even in Pho), lovingly scarfed it all down this ramen with gusto. And, now I have two favorite ramen dishes at this establishment! We were curious, even though we were already full, so we got a small Raspberry Kakigori to share for dessert. As someone who grew up loving Taiwanese shaved ice, this completely blew all my childhood memories out of the water. The shaved ice was this most pillowy snow with an insanely perfect sweetness and creaminess, and I don't even like milk, until now, especially with that raspberry jammy goodness. My bf is actually not a fan at all of shaved ice ever, but this Kakigori made him a believer! The location remains clean and welcoming, as is the impeccable service. Parking is terrible above ground in this plaza, but amply available underground. Each parking spot is also super spacious, which is immensely appreciated. Highly, highly recommend!

Came during lunch and got seated really quickly. Food was a bit on the pricier side, but it comes with toppings that you'd usually have to pay extra for at other ramen spots so it ends up being about the same overall. Deluxe Tsukemen: This is a dipping-style ramen. The broth was rich and creamy, the noodles had a great bouncy texture, and the chashu was really well-cooked and tender. Deluxe Tonkotsu: Everything was well-balanced here; the broth, toppings, and chashu all came together nicely. Karaage: Super juicy and not dry at all, but the portion is pretty small. Still, it's a great appetizer to start with. Parking can get pretty busy since the plaza has a lot of shops, but if the main lot is full, there's an underground garage with plenty of free parking.

Came here right when it opened and was seated immediately. Got the egg tsukemen and it was delicious. They are pretty understaffed so there's only one server. As the restaurant got busier, service got slower. To no fault of the server though, there's just too many people to serve. Food is good but patience is key!

Got the deluxe soup and deluxe dip. Dip was way too salty for my liking. I had like 2 bites then ended up putting the noods in the soup instead. Chicken karage was overly fried. Would not order that again if I ever come back. Service was fairly quick given there was only one waiter. This parking lot can get a bit busy up top since it's shared w other shops but luckily I was able to snag a spot right outside. There's also parking downstairs.

Food is great, pricy but worth it for the quality They have side chili that is pretty spicy, very surprising for a ramen restaurant The karage and gyozas are good for appetizers

Had a great experienced here, I spilled my tsukemen soup and they replaced it with a new one and cleaned our table. Didn't expect a full bowl of soup. Everything tasted amazing the tsukemen was very rich and tasty! We went late afternoon so there wasn't any wait.

Tsuke is an artisan noodle house known for their unique specialty dish tsukemen which we've tried before they rebranded. But for our first visit after the rebrand, we tried the regular tonkotsu, the tantanmen, and some spicy gyoza. All were decent versions of these dishes, service was friendly and helpful, and the vibes were chill. Prices are a tad high for the portions and while our dishes were adequate, the tsukemen is definitely the way to go here.  Tsukemen is a dipping type of ramen where the savory hot broth is served separately and the thicker noodles (typically served cold) are dipped into it instead of immersed. It's a fun way to get some noodles and their tsukemen is excellent here - definitely what we'll return for. For starters we tried their spicy gyoza and these were fantastic - nicely fried gyoza with just the right amount of kick in the sauce - definitely would get these again.  I'm a sucker for any tan tan or dan dan noodle dishes so I couldn't resist trying theirs for my main lunch dish. Their version is more true to the Japanese style - blending an umami broth with slightly sweet peanut sauce for a savory/sweet combo. I think it's a quality dish if you love authentic tantanmen - but I'm personally not a fan of savory and sweet together so this isn't something I'd get again. Also, the ground pork was charred black and almost seemed burnt so I wasn't a fan of that. Hubby got the Ajitama tonkotsu ramen that comes with egg and thinly sliced pork. He said the flavor was good but he was not impressed with the portion size compared to the price. It did seem sort of small - definitely smaller than my tantanmen. So this isn't something we'd order again. We both got our spice level 1 and numbness level zero at the recommendation of the server (thank you!). Our dishes were very mild and next time I'd probably get spice level 2 and numbness 1 as I do like a little more kick to my noodle dishes and our current order was pretty mild (almost no kick at all).  Formerly known as Tsujita - they recently rebranded to Tsuke but under the same owners and mostly the same everything except a few new menu items. Vibes are lively and minimalist with warm colors - it's cozy and inviting. The servers are super nice and helpful.  They're located in a large shopping plaza - and even though there's plenty of parking in the garage below, it gets a little crazy up top with people circling and honking. Once we got down into the garage it was quiet with tons of empty spaces around noon on a weekday. I used to live nearby and this is a popular area that gets insane on the weekends so bring your patience.  All in all we had a decent visit and fondly remember the tsukemen when it was Tsujita so we'll likely return for more of that specialty noodle dish!

I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

Come for the food, but LOOK AT THIS PLACE…read more Okay, I have to start with the atmosphere because this place is absolutely STUNNING. The second you walk in, there is so much to look at. The woodwork, the hanging wooden plaques, the Japanese-inspired décor, the trees throughout the restaurant, the lighting, and especially the little honeycomb-style booths built into the walls. It almost feels like you've stepped into this little Japanese village rather than just another restaurant. Whoever designed this place understood the assignment. I went during the week, so thankfully it wasn't very crowded, and my friend and I were able to sit upstairs in one of the honeycomb booths. If one is available, DO IT. It made the whole experience that much more fun, and you get such a cool view of the restaurant from up there. Now, FOOD. I ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice with curry sauce, which comes with chicken fried rice wrapped in that beautiful fluffy omelet, topped with pork tonkatsu and curry. When they bring it out, they actually ask if you'd like to record the presentation before they cut/open the egg--which, obviously, YES. It's one of those little touches that turns ordering food into an actual experience. And it was BOMB. The egg was fluffy, the pork tonkatsu had that crispy texture, and everything worked really well with the fried rice and curry. The curry itself isn't particularly spicy, so if you're someone who doesn't tolerate much heat, don't let the word curry scare you. It had plenty of flavor without being hot. Personally, I like my food SPICY spicy, so I added some extra spice to mine, but that's completely personal preference. I also ordered the Thai iced tea, and that was delicious--fresh, creamy, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted with the meal. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the food, but I think the atmosphere is what pushed the experience over the top for me. The restaurant itself is just SO COOL. There are restaurants where you eat, leave, and that's it--and then there are places where you're looking around the entire time because you keep noticing another little detail. KYURAMEN was definitely the latter. Good food + Thai tea + an omurice presentation + sitting inside a freaking honeycomb booth overlooking this gorgeous restaurant? Yeah. I'm coming back. Tip: If you have the option to sit in one of the elevated honeycomb booths, absolutely take it. It makes the experience.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. When we asked for recommendations, he pointed us in the right direction. We ordered the Sapporo Miso Ramen (Mild), Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, the Tonkatsu Omurice, and started with the Yakitori Platter. The ramen was excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Yakitori Platter was a great choice because it let us sample a variety of grilled proteins, and even the grilled zucchini was incredibly delicious. The presentation of the Tonkatsu Omurice was impressive, and the curry sauce was well-balanced with just the right amount of spice to complement the crispy tonkatsu. Overall, we had a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Until next time, enjoy!

My friend got the tonkatsu red and loved it. He's not normally someone that compliments food so I was a bit surprised. We both wiped our bowls clean and left no noodz behind. We also ordered a shareable agedashi tofu which was delicious as well. Service was great. The staff was polite and checked in on us a few times. The space is very modern and well kept. There's a lot of tables so it isn't a problem bringing larger groups here. Parking is very easy since it's in a huge lot. It's been awhile since I've found a ramen spot that thoroughly impressed me. I can't wait to be back to try the rest of the menu items!
