I think it depends on what you're in the mood for....I've had their tuna salad and salami sub- both very good. My husband thinks the meatball parm is so-so (he prefers subway) and my dad loves the turkey- so again, it depends on your taste. All of the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and I think that earns them a star or two. Delish subs! I have been here a few times and they have never disappointed. The most recent time we ordered a crapload of large subs (I think it was 8 total) to have a big sub sharing dinner with a bunch of our neighbors. We ordered the italian, chicken cordon bleu, reuben, tsunami club, philly cheeseteak and many more variations of sub goodness. They were a hit. They had already cut the subs up in 6ths for us for easy sharing. I tried every single sub we bought and not once was I unsure of how tasty it actually was. Fresh cut meat, friendly service and delicious food, I couldn't ask for more! I watched as the bacon piled higher and higher; the person before me ordered a BLT, with thick cut, dark and crispy bacon. That's the first sign of a great sub shop. I ordered the chicken salad sub, and was equally pleased with the chunky, all-white meat that was slathered on my (very) fluffy white roll. They had my favorite thinly sliced iceberg lettuce, large tomatoes, and of course honey mustard to top off my delicacy. Meanwhile, my chicken parm sub was being toasted to a crisp, golden brown in the oven. The smell quickly filed up the small shop, and I was transported back to the Italian run pizza shops that filled my childhood memories. When I bit into the sub, my mouth filled with two meaty chicken cutlets in one bite, perfectly seasoned and topped with melted parm that just barely tipped over the side of the bread. I stopped here for lunch with my boyfriend yesterday. We wanted subs and always drive by this place so we decided to give it a try. I am glad we stopped here because the food was delicious. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. They have a great menu that includes a wide variety of subs, wraps and salads. They also have other things including breakfast and side items such as french fries. My boyfriend ordered a sub with roast beef and I ordered a veggie sub minus the cheese. The subs are pretty big so we ordered 'half' sizes. They have have fresh veggies including lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, olives, etc. They also offer combos where you can also get a drink and a bag of chips. I would recommend this place for sure. We just had delivery but this is a go to place for us when the kids want to order take-out. The subs are huge and a small is quite sufficient. Our staple subs are the Italian tsunami style, tsunami club supreme, turkey bacon cheese lettuce and mayo (for the 6 year old, of course). I will never love another sub more. I love that the meats are not out and are sliced when you order your sub right there and then. I love that the subs are soooo big that you can split it with someone and still fall into a food coma! I've never had their wraps but I can imagine they are just as good. This place is always busy around lunch time and there is a good reason why -- LARGE subs. The place is well staffed, bustling and a fun place to pick up a sandwich. It is relatively clean, though not the cleanest I've seen, but not dirty either. The staff has fun interactions with the guests and it has always been an enjoyable experience. Generally, most people tend to order and go, rather than eat there because it's a bit cramped. read more

Great Subs - Made Fresh The subs are sliced fresh and made assembly-line style like the original Tastee Sub Shop in Edison, NJ, where I ate many-a-sub between 1970 and 1975. Tsunami Subs are not just fresh and delicious, there's a great selection and all who work there are friendly. Try a cold sub Tsunami style w/mayo and little or no oil (mayo is pretty much all oil anyway). Just ask for it "Tsunami Bob" style (which is also w/o onions, but that's optional). This is my go to sub shop. Quick and friendly, they use quality cold cuts sliced to order. The bread is great and you have a choice of white or wheat in all 3 sizes of subs. Club Supreme is a fave as is the Italian. I do wish they had a cherry pepper relish similar to Jersey Mikes. Hot subs are great too.. meatball is a fave and the Philly is pretty solid although I'm not a fan of the chicken parm. They offer a frequent customer card and daily specials. I'd give 5 stars except for the iced tea. All the food is quality but they chose to use Gold Peak tea concentrate which is just crap. It's Florida guys. Brew your iced tea. read more

It was my first time coming here since I've heard good things about it. So I go with my coworkers who come here frequently and I order the same sub as two of them only difference was I ordered grilled chicken instead of breaded. Since the sub takes time I got asked if I wanted it with lettuce and tomato and I said sure, so I wait. While waiting the other two coworkers who ordered the same but breaded, got asked what toppings they wanted with the bread they selected while they waited, I didn't get asked. Normally in other places I order mine with onions, honey mustard, salt, oregano, olive oil and lots of hot peppers, toppings that they had but I never got asked, instead mine was served when I was paying with only lettuce and tomato, those were the only toppings since they never even bothered to ask like they did to my coworkers. What I don't understand is why I ordered the same as my coworkers and treated differently. They are really disorganized. I will not be coming back here and will not recommend this place to anyone. I normally go to Laspadas and this has never happened to me there. Supposedly they are the competition but from my experience, Laspadas has nothing to worry about. read more

The ER staff decided to order from here for lunch, so the doc and I jumped in since delivery would be quicker than waiting in the cafeteria lines. It took about 40-50min after ordering for the food to arrive. I got the small #14 (tsunami club supreme). It was about 6" and nicely cut in half. I'd say overall it was pretty good with a decent amount of meat, but they forgot to put in the bacon and there was practically no tomato :( Taste-wise it was underwhelming and on the bland side. I've definitely had better and also worse subs, so this was just a "meh" for me. read more
