I'm going to make this quick. Very mid. Overrated. Service was excellent, kind (albeit eccentric) hostess, amiable waiters, smart somm. Let's cut to the chase. Food was some of the most overrated I've ever had. Chicken parm fell so flat, I've had chicken parm vodka in my local trattorias and pizzerias in suburbia for $13 and Tucci's for 3x the price was 3x less flavorful. Cacio pepe tortufo was a good dish but the fettuccini fra diavolo also wasn't great. Food isn't bad per se, just very much not worth the price. And definitely not worth whatever brain rot post you're trying to make. read more

Second time dining here. I enjoyed the food so much the first time that I had to come back. The downstairs is sexier and more vibey than the upstairs, and is perfect for a romantic date night. The service is phenomenal. The wait staff are super attentive but not pushy. Cocktails are delish. Prices are what you would expecte for the area, and not for the broke. I realized my second time that they change the menu seasonably. Fancy. I went back for a specific dish, a delicate like ravioli with a sweet corn sauce. I can't even describe it but to say it was dainty, yet rich. The sauce was creamy, a little sweet, but the cheese balanced it. In any regard they didn't have it this time! So I'll have to go back again when it's back. The bread is worth purchasing for thr table. The baked clams are outstanding. Amazing flavor. I opted for a ceasar salad - very good, but dressing was a bit more anchovy tasting than I prefer. My husband got the branzino and I got the seasonal ravioli dish. I was disappointed with the flavor profile of the dish, which had caramel yogurt zucchini mint sauce. I was hopeful but it wasn't for me. The chicken cutlet parm is grade a. Overall - Great service, beautiful ambiance, and great company made for a good dining experience. The food was served quickly and while none of the dishes were absolute standouts, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I'd be happy to dine here again. Appetizers: Housemade Focaccia - Rich and flavorful, with bits of black olives throughout. While I enjoyed the taste, the olive brine added a slight sourness and saltiness that I was on the fence about, and it slightly affected the texture. Sourdough - Perfect balance of sourness, a great crust, and an airy crumb. Paired with high-quality cultured butter that truly elevated the the usual bread and butter combo--a must-have! Burrata - Wonderfully fresh and creamy, served with a generous portion of prosciutto. No complaints here. Calamari - The lemon aioli was fantastic, adding a bright note to the flavorful calamari. My only issue was that the breading didn't adhere well and often slid off, and some larger pieces were a bit chewy and tricky to eat. Overall, the flavor was excellent. Arancini - A bit of a letdown. While the arancini itself was flavorful, the caviar topping didn't pair well with the truffle, and the Parmesan/fontina tuiles felt unnecessary. The sun-dried tomato paste also missed the mark. Although the arancini alone tasted good, these extra components detracted from the dish. I wouldn't order it again. Meatballs - Generous portions with a delicious Calabrian chili marinara and moist meatballs. A solid, no-frills dish that's well-executed. Entrees: Cacio e Pepe e Tartufo - The truffle and black pepper flavors were nicely balanced, but the pasta was on the dry side. Once the cheese cooled, the sauce turned a bit clumpy, and the thick bucatini noodles contributed to a somewhat dry texture. Good flavors, but texture could use improvement. Casarecce Alla Boscaiola - My favorite dish of the night! The well-seasoned sausage and umami-rich morels were delicious, and the casarecce noodles paired perfectly with the sauce. Highly recommended. Chicken Parmesan - Not typically a chicken parm fan, but this was better than most. I enjoyed the dual sauces--vodka on top, marinara below--which added depth to the flavor. The chicken was slightly dry and could have been pounded into thinner more tender cutlets, but overall, it was a solid dish. Desserts: Cheesecake - Great crust with a tart blueberry compote that complemented the mascarpone cheesecake nicely. The texture was a bit looser than I usually prefer, but I'd likely order it again. Bomboloni Donuts - The donut was a little dense and slightly over-yeasted, but the citrus cream sauce, though served a bit warm, was a standout. Tucci was a wonderful experience. I was here for a party so we had a private room down in the cellar and what a cool place it was. There was a little wine cellar in our room which was cool to see. For drinks I had prosecco but some others had martinis and one person had the espresso martini. They all looked great. And for food we shared alot like meatballs, salads, artichokes and many desserts. We each got our own main dish. I opted for the chicken parm. I suggest two people share this as it is very big. It was cheesy too but it had a lot of flavor to it. It was very good. The meatballs were also very good. The salad I had a bite of was the Heirloom Radicchio salad. Which has Honeycomb,candied walnuts ( they took the nuts off for me) Goat cheese and creamy balsamic. For dessert i had sorbet and a bowl of fruit with whipped cream. The desserts that they brought out to the table looked delicious too. The staff at this restaurant also was very attentive and nice. This restaurant is geared toward folks with cash on hand as I found the prices high. We were a table of 5 seated near the bar downstairs which was lively, so we had difficulty hearing one another. The food was inconsistent in level of preparedness : CALAMARI FRITTI were excellent; the CRISPY BABY ARTICHOKES left something to be desired and NONNA SESTA'S CAESAR was a mishap. AMAZING! The ambience is stunning. I walked in thinking it was a small place and was "wowed" the second I walked down the art filled hallway into a huge dining area! Warning: this place is a wannabe Torrisi, but is not worth your money. Don't bother coming here unless you have a severe eating disorder and want to be surrounded by people plotting who they can use this summer for a Hamptons weekend getaway. Me and my friend came, and to no surprise, were easily able to make a reservation. We started with the burrata, which was TWENTY SIX dollars. Yes, that's correct, $26. And it did not come with bread - we had to pay an extra $10 for sourdough bread. For the same price, we could have bought 3 loafs at Whole Foods. Oh well! The appetizer was fine, but certainly not worth the price. The prosciutto felt a bit tough; perhaps due to the lack of customers, they gave us leftovers from the day or two prior. For entrees, we ordered the baked clams and pesto gnocchi, which were only memorable because they were quite literally the same size (maybe six pieces of each?) and almost the same price! For dessert, we had the tiramisu, which was, again, fine, but nothing to write home about. They sat us in the basement, which was extremely depressing because there are obviously no windows and it's a pretty air tight space. The servers took a while to bring us the check even though we were visibly done for 20 minutes, likely to keep the restaurant looking busy at it was sad. Multiple couples sat down and walked out, probably after questioning the prices. Our total bill was $175 after tax and tip, which was jarring for the most lackluster experience I've ever had in my decade+ living in the city. My friend is on Vyvanse and still felt starving after eating here. I understand it is costly to rent a space in NoHo, however, the experience does not justify the cost we paid for dinner. I would have rather gone to Serafina or better yet spend my money on the beloved tuna tart at bondst next door. In this recession era, I give this restaurant less than a year before it shutters. read more

I am so disappointed with my experience with Tucci. I made a reservation for my birthday dinner and initially they were so accommodating as I kept having guests who wanted to join. We got there and were seated. Just after we ordered everything, someone pulled the fire alarm and it was so loud we had to exit. We waited outside for over an hour, only to be told that the fire department cannot figure out how to turn off the alarm. At this point, it's already 9:30 at night. They even brought checks out to some guests... which is crazy to me. Around 1 hour in, they told us that we should consider going elsewhere. The manager never came to apologize or even offer to call other restaurants for us. A woman finally came to say that she would reach out to invite us back and maybe get us some complimentary Prosecco on the next visit. This was all on May 27th - no one has called or reached out to me yet. I've worked in service and sales my whole life and I am beyond disappointed for the lack of communication or effort to improve my experience. I go out to dinner 2/3 times a week- try every hotspot and the hospitality here was insulting. We checked in and were told to go downstairs and wait at the bar- cool, but NO ONE checked on us the entire time- we waited 45 minutes to be seated and no one checked on us, no one apologized, no one offered a complimentary drink or anything. We had to call the floor manager and hostess over and neither of them even said sorry, just that they were swamped and thanks for waiting (guess no one taught them sorry goes a long way). Finally seated after bartender got the manager for us- again- nothing comped, nothing apologized for. We asked the waiter a recommendation for an additional app and he basically brushed us off and started naming things without listening to us or explanation. He never once asked us if we liked our drinks or apps. Then our mains were served (chicken parm and agnolotti) and of course no one asked us if everything was good. The pasta was cold so we looked for the waiter for a few minutes and eventually had to ask a busboy to find him. He barked at us that we should of told him right away (ummm how? Where were you? Why didn't you check on us) was just genuinely not personable and up standard for a high end restaurant. Overall the food was good but nothing special overall when you compare it to their neighbors like Torrisi and Emilios Ballato. The food is good but NYC is filled with good italian.
