I shouldn't be complaing about $5 pizza, but this used to be my favorite neighborhood pizza spot. The food has gone downhill over the past 2 years, service gotten worse. Shady prices too, I paid $6.75 for a 2-topping pizza one time, the next time I ordered, they told me it was $8 50 for the same damn pizza. Well, this time I decided to try something other than pizza, so I called in my order 15 minutes ahead of time and still had to wait 25 min for a burnt pastrami sandwich and a garden salad that was not freshly made, it had soggy cheese and brown lettuce had clearly been made the night before ($14??) After so many years of loving Tumby's and being such a loyal customer for events, parties and even just to have a pizza night Tumby's was the place. Considering that we have a lot of Pizza shops Tumby's was my favorite small business place for pizza. I have been ordering over the years for my friends and family and even social events. I called Saturday afternoon to place an order for my brother and the rest of the children at home, as I was driving to San Diego.. The lady on the phone took my credit card information and gave me a total.. I was fine with it and she said the driver will be there in 45 mins- to an hour, pleased at the fact it has always been an easy to order she tells me I have to be there when the delivery comes to show my ID and Card.. I told her that many other times I have done it that way and I am never asked for that and never does the driver. She said "sorry I cant do it" I was so upset because the kids were expecting pizza to be delivered. I asked to speak to the " Manager" and shes like " I understand" she went on being EXTREMELY unprofessional and said that they can't do it and all that finally I called another place and was able to order a meal for them for delivery. I asked her what she did with my credit card information and she said " we didnt put it in the system because we did not process the order" while in San Diego i happened to check my account and realized they had charged me for a full order of pizzas and delivery I called and asked to speak to the manager and all she said was " I told you to call me back if you had any problems" which she never did because she told me that she never charged my card so why would i have a reason to call back? she also said I couldn't get my card refunded and she needed to see my bank statement.. LOL I couldn't BELIEVE what has happening after arguing with me and telling that she could not refund me because she didn't have prof of the charge i just gave up. I called my bank and deputed the charge immediately. A manager is a LEADER and as your job you should of been more compassionate about your work it doesn't matter what is it that you do, your job it so manage and deal with problems not just steal peoples money. I will NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS NIGHTMARE PIZZA PLACE. read more

Oh my... this pizza is absolutely delicious. We placed an order for delivery and was given a 45min delivery wait time. They arrived within 20 minutes on a Saturday. That was a total plus. The ingredients were fresh, their pizza sauce is quite tasty and authentic, slices were large and totally worth the price. We will definitely be reordering. read more

After some serious consideration I had to give this place 3 stars. Pizza is ok(full disclaimer I ate 4 pieces) cheese sticks on the other hand had me going back for more even though I could barley get out of my seat after 6 cheese sticks. So if you just want to get down on an order of cheese sticks then you found your place. If you are lookin for some dank pizza(which I was) then I recommend you go elsewhere. When I see these others posting negative comments, I mean I'be had very few issues (errors are part of life) but they have always giving me great customer satisfaction. I recently moved to Torrance from Inglewood. Was craving some good pizza but didn't want to drive all the way to Manchester for tumby's. I was excited when I checked on Yelp and noticed there was one in Gardena. This is the part where location matters. I ordered a medium 3 top thin crust pizza with wings. The staff was polite when I arrived. Took my ordered home which was what I ordered. However, pizza was cold and tasted old ( my mother's words). The wings were miniture Extra small. Nothing compared to the Inglewood location in which I used to order constantly over the years. Sadly, I won't be returning. I had high hopes for this place :(. read more

We didn't notice our pizza was slightly under cook until one of the workers came up to us and asked us how the pizza was. We said it was fine but he insisted on giving us a free pizza for our slightly under cook one. Today I called Tumby's at 10:39am for 8 pizzas double sliced for my daughter's class for pick up at 12:40pm. We arrived at 12:50, paid the $61.09 and the cashier said they were ready, she just had one more pizza to double slice. Unfortunately for her, the (maybe, I'm not sure) owner came and said he was about to take the last one out. After several minutes, I was like you know what, forget the double slice. We have to go. To no avail, which had me in my feelings so then I asked if I give you a pick up time, how much extra time do I need to tell you so they can be ready upon my arrival? He was low key rude to the point that my husband and I had to remember that the pizzas were for our daughter because if it was anything else, I probably wouldve tripped but I was born and raised in North Gardena and I refuse to spend money in my city and businesses not be grateful for my patronage. And what Tumby's failed to realize is that not only do i get at least 2 pizzas once or twice a month but any holiday we get a minimum 8 pizzas (6 for her class, 1 for the main office and 1 for the teachers) but guess what, never ever again. I refuse to feel a certain type of way in my community. Tumby's on Rosecrans will no longer receive any business from me and I am posting this to Facebook as well so hopefully you will treat your next customers that buy only one pizza a bit better. read more

Pizza taste really good, and it helps that it is not greasy like the other pizzas around here like Little Cesar's and Pizza Hut. Deliveries are always fast except when it's really busy but that's to be expected. I always recommend Tumby's to my friends and family because the prices are always reasonable. The point is that Tumby's is the best and everyone should try it at least once. I recommend the pastrami pizza it's fire . Also call ahead of time if you are picking up so it can be ready the wait time is about ten to fifteen minutes. read more

I would rate the food 4 stars but the people taking the orders over the phone 1 star. The pizza and wings are delicious (that's all we have tried). They have great deals/specials for carry out and delivery. They're very friendly and delivery from the time you place an order is about 30-45 minutes. Now on to the phone orders. It is a nightmare to place an order. They're nice but definitely need to be retrained. They're lacking good customer service. There's not one time that I've called and have not been put on hold. It literally takes about 10-15 minutes if not longer to place an order. I have to repeat my order numerous times. They always say they can't hear because of the noise on their side. They forget to ask for payment methods. There's been times when our totals have been wrong (one price over the phone another price when they deliver). This is my go to place for pizza but I always dread making the call because I know it's going be frustrating every time. read more
