I heard about this place through a friend. I'm not too big on pizza, however their pizza is good for the price. Single topping Large for $7.64(includes tax) The customer service needs a tune up. Maybe it's due to the excessive heat inside that makes them not so friendly. I did however get a friendly smile from the lady making the pizza. That was refreshing. I'll be back, def good pizza for the price. On the weekend the parking can be a bit challenging. There is a strip club in the same lot so it gets crowded. First time review of Tumbys pizza. Ordered the large special for $6.99, wings and bread sticks. The prices here are amazing. No frills pizza at a great price. I kid you not but even with bacon and Pepperoni the pizza tasted ABSOLUTELY flavorless and almost cardboard-esque. Like the cheese, sauce, bread and toppings all have little-to-no identifying flavors. But then again, it was only 7 bucks for a nice size large. Personally though, if your trapped in this price range, would without question choose Pizza Hut, dominoes etc over this pizza. Lemon-pepper wings were pretty good, but no blue cheese or ranch came on the side. No biggie, probably only by request. Breadsticks came out with cheese on them even though it was ordered by a non-confrontational vegan who doesn't eat cheese. 190% chance she didn't request cheese sticks since she hasn't ordered cheese in a few years. I came here on a random Wednesday just for pizza with a friend. Tumby's has always had a great price point and solid food taste. I called in my order and was told for pick up it would be ready in 10 minutes - great! The golden state warriors versus Portland trailblazers game was coming on and I did not want to miss it. I arrived at Tommy's which is settled inside of a small shopping plaza (with a strip club) and parking was pretty simple. There were a couple people outside waiting in their car and I presume it's because they had placed an order in person as opposed to calling it in like me - smart gesture. I recommend always calling in an order if you can. I told the woman at the cash register I had a call in order and she asked me what toppings I had selected. I told her pepperoni, sausage, and bell peppers. She told me the order total would come up to $11.98 and I told her I was told over the phone it would be $9.98. Two dollars is nothing in the larger scheme of things however I was wondering how the price point jumped. She told me they had an order for pepperoni and sausage and no bell peppers and to add bell peppers would be a two dollar difference so it's possible they made a mistake on their end. She offered to make the pizza with the three toppings I selected on the spot for the same price, but honestly I didn't really want to bell peppers anyway so it was a win-win for me. I paid my money and walked out a happy customer When I got home and bit into the pizza it was great. It definitely isn't gourmet style or something you find at a family own Sicilian Italian restaurant with authentic pizza but for a large pizza with two toppings it's the best value around. It certainly beats a five dollar pizza from Little Caesars. I definitely plan on coming back here again. Now the location...that's another story. I don't have a picture to show y'all, but this Tumby's consistently makes the best veggie pizzas! I tried ordering the same pizza for the location closer to my apt in dtla and was soooo disappointed. Every time I'm in gardena and want affordable veggie pizza, fast, this is my go to. However, their "garlic bread"'is the ultimate disrespect. It literally looks and tastes like they took some Italian bread, slapped some butter and some garlic powered, and threw it in the oven then forgot that it was in the oven. Shit was dry and a waste of my $5! Hence the reason for the 4 stars. Also, their delivery system is lit at this location. I shouldn't be complaing about $5 pizza, but this used to be my favorite neighborhood pizza spot. The food has gone downhill over the past 2 years, service gotten worse. Shady prices too, I paid $6.75 for a 2-topping pizza one time, the next time I ordered, they told me it was $8 50 for the same damn pizza. Well, this time I decided to try something other than pizza, so I called in my order 15 minutes ahead of time and still had to wait 25 min for a burnt pastrami sandwich and a garden salad that was not freshly made, it had soggy cheese and brown lettuce had clearly been made the night before ($14??)
