So bummed I didn't like this restaurant. I wanted the turmeric lemonade, but they were out. I tried the taco plate - Spicy Cuban and Al Pastor. Favorite part was the greens. Least favorite is the jackfruit "meat". Imagine the woody part of an artichoke. That's what it resembled. I couldn't chew it down so it was essentially inedible. The lavender latte was like drinking soap. The Persian love scone saved the day. I had it the next morning and it was wonderful (pistachio/cardamom). Glad I tried it, but won't he back. read more

Sunday brunch with my amiga! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and given some recs on the most popular items. I went with the vegan barbacoa plate with 2 overeasy eggs. I couldn't believe how tasty everything was! They have a salsa cart as well, and the portion was huge. I also ordered the green Chai latte, which was part of my matcha muchacha series, which was very warming and grounding. I would highly recommend their lattes as well. One of my besties has some hardcore dietary restrictions, so we are always trying to find great places to dine out and try. This place has been on our list for at least a couple of years and was well worth the wait it took us to get here! We met for lunch here recently at this neighborhood jewel and WOW. We brought our husbands, both of them are hard core carnivores I might add but they were game. We all ordered something different; Chile Rellano, Chilaquiles, Huevos Rancheros and Cuban Tacos. ALL of it was beyond tasty. My husband fancies himself an aficionado of Huevos Rancheros and he was raving about these as he was inhaling them. I of course, the Chilaquiles expert, was very impressed with Tumerico's adaptation of them and found them to be some of the best I have had in the greater Tucson area. I had my first experience as an invite by my daughter and partner. Just walking in the door all your senses exploited in a fantastic way. The lovely lady at cash register immediately made us feel welcomed. She graciously explained the process and the details of the meals and ingredients. The food combinations and beverages....I wanted to try everything. We ordered three different dishes and chip/salsa. The salsa bar (temperature regulated within a stainless steel bar to 36 degrees). The aroma , wall art , the colors and textures, plenty of large to smaller dining areas, a creative space for families with children. I felt like I was back in Pueblo, Mexico for a visit. Then, the meals arrive. I was speechless. I love to cook and learn. I savored every bite. My friend picked Tumerico for brunch to celebrate her birthday. We received a warm welcome by a lovely staff member with a beautiful smile. Everyone was very kind and helpful. My friend ordered the lentil soup and it was very flavorful. I ordered the huevos rancheros. It looked so delicious, I forgot to take a picture. I just dug right into it. Ive heard nothing but good things about this veg Mexican restaurant. I was so excited to try what I thought was supposed to be traditional veg Mexican cuisine. I have been craving some real flavors from Sonora so I was stoked to see the Mesquite Mole on the menu. The mole had no hint or undertones of mesquite. The dish was 17$ it Came with no tortillas. No chips. It was a broccoli stir fry with a bland mole sauce a side of decent beans(probably from Sysco in a can) wilted iceberg lettuce with a lemon (not even a lime) throw on top with sesame seeds. It felt like Panda Express with a side of canned refried beans. Never ever have I gotten broccoli or a stir fry from a Mexican place before. I am lost for words and highly disappointed. read more

Highly recommend the Pick me Up juice if you want a unique blend of ginger and beets to balance out the heat in your food. We ordered the pozole, since it's almost never offered as a vegan dish, and was surprised how filling a small cup could be. The flavors were all there and the hominy seemed like it had been perfectly toasted. I have had the Frida Kahlo Tostadas, the Potato Tacos, and the Carnitas Tacos. I usually alao get an oat milk mocha. All delightful and recommended. The potato tacos are crispy, puffy, and heavenly. Another reason to move to Tucson... I've heard the hype through various vegan FB groups, but since they don't post a menu online, I've hesitated to go for a "could be great" meal when I'm in Tucson for a quick visit instead of a "I know it's great" meal like at La Indita or Lovin' Spoonful. Clearly, I'm an idiot. This place is hands down the best vegan food we've had in Tucson. Fresh, homemade, delicious, worth every penny, all the things. I got the potato tacos and my husband had the Cuban tacos. My husband devoured almost all of the plate, which included two jackfruit tacos on soft corn tortillas, refried beans, rice, pickled onions, plantains(?) and salad. He's not a big bean eater so I grabbed his leftovers to take home, along with my leftovers. My three potato tacos were mashed potatoes (as they should be!) in a fried shell. They were a touch greasy, but worth every extra calorie. I couldn't finish my meal, but the leftovers were great later! The didn't stay in the fridge long. We also grabbed some amazing salsas from the salsa bar. All unique and flavorful in their own right. And we were so excited that we bought a dozen tamales to take home, but haven't tried them yet. I'm sure they'll be amazing! Service was fast and friendly. Since it was our first visit, the counter server explained the items well and answered our questions.
