(Good news - there is a Cherry Hill location opening soon so hopefully this location will get less crowded but still do well). Food is made to order so do not expect a quick meal here. They showcase seasonal specials - changes with the seasons. A great place for a date, hang out with friends, grab a cup of coffee and sit at the bar, etc. The bar is first-come-first serve only. Other than that the waiting area is for dining room only. Seating is available outside during the warmer months. The menu doesn't change but they do have breakfast and lunch. Got seated instantly at 11:00 on a weekday. My daughter ordered cornbread French toast with mascarpone, apples and walnuts. She liked it. I ordered basic scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. No choice of bread was offered. I also had coffee which was very good. Breakfast was not good for such a basic menu item. Eggs were browned and dry, bacon was overly smoked and the texture of beef jerky. The bread was an untoasted, dry English muffin with a tiny pool of melted butter in the center, no jelly was offered. Home fries were OK but had raw onion. I will not be back. Completely underwhelming experience for the money. Waitstaff was adequate. read more

growing up in marlton, when this place opened it became my go to breakfast spot & now that i live in Florida, any time i visit i make it a point to stop in here at least once. lucky for me, i was able to make it in here a couple of times when i was home for thanksgiving. the food is always delicious & the service is great too!! the restaurant has a very "homey" feel. there is a small coffee nook right when you walk in to drink while you wait, which can sometimes be a very long time ! luckily they offer the option to put your name on the wait list ahead of time so you can add your name before you even leave your house. i absolutely love their coffee! french pressed and their regular coffee are both delicious. my boyfriend and my mom both got the hot chai tea and it was awesome! i have has the charlie's chai shake in the past and loved that as well. in terms of the food, everything i have had here has been awesome!! the OMG french toast is good when you're craving something sweet and the tuscany omelette is my go to for eggs. the omelettes are served with fresh fruit, potatoes, and either an english muffin or your choice of toast. we tried the avocado toast for the first time and i love that hey add fresh tomatoes on top! it really makes it stand out against the traditional avocado toast. i almost always order the fruit bruschetta for the table to start and it's always a hit! refreshing fruit over warm fresh cinnamon pita (YUM!) the service is always nice and prompt and the food comes out relatively quickly! definitely get your name on the wait list before making the trip over, the wait time can easily reach over an hour!! but it is definitely worth it!! read more

I hate to do it, but being thorough is important always in the service industry especially when your service determines your income...I'm just going to list the issues. 1. Got seated in a room all the way in the back of the restaurant that was too quiet to have a private conversation without anyone else listening in ours. I requested music or the tv to be turned on just to give everyone in the room the same convo privacy. 2. Utensils were dirty, I mean had food and syrup on the knife still. That's basic cleanliness that should be noticed. I left the knife at the edge of the table hoping our sever would notice, she didn't. 3. Asked for King Toast w/ banana only, got the toast with apples on it instead. 4. Asked for mixed fruit for my side dish, got an English muffin instead. That's twice our server didn't listen to our order properly. 5. I couldn't believe the potatoes were even served truthfully. Not much taste and were cold as if they were sitting out for a few hours. 6. This could be a covid thing, maybe not, but are restaurants not pouring water and coffee anymore for guests? Even doing refills? Ours were not. Personally it's a small thing, but servicing your customers by pouring their drinks for them is so appreciated. 7. The overall vibe was off. The staff all seemed upset. I wanted to voice the issues to our server, but since it was so quiet I didn't want to ruin her interactions with the other guests eating. We won't be returning. My girlfriend is from Marlton and listed this as her favorite breakfast place of them all. So naturally when we came to visit over thanksgiving break this was one of our first spots to go to. Inside is super nice with a coffee bar at the entrance and a really cool coffee bar up front. Highlight here is definitely their coffee. They don't have basic breakfast blend instant stuff they take the beans and the quality seriously and it shows. To be a little different I got a hot chai tea which was phenomenal. As far as food goes can't complain, my girkdfriends brother got French toast which looked more like a dessert than anything else (delicious!!), my girlfriend and her dad got omlettes both of which seemed very good from the samples I formed from their plates. I got a 2 egg breakfast, cones with hash browns bacon and an English muffin. Only complaint I had really was portion sizes. You're talking a relatively small breakfast plate in the hierarchy of breakfast portions. Service was great and everything did come out really quickly even though they were slammed. Eh. I had much higher hopes for this place i truly did. I was so excited to come here for brunch and it definitely didn't live up to the hype for me. First, we walked in and we were told our wait would be 45 minutes after them asking rudely if we called ahead. Well we had thought about it being a party of 8, so we checked the website and looked various places online and nowhere did it mention this. Kind of annoying from the get go. And then the wait was NOT accurate...we waited over an hour for our table and their "check your spot in line on yelp" is also not accurate. Finally we got seated. I ordered a s'mores hot chocolate and a pesto infusion skillet. The hot chocolate, while decent had zero s'mores taste which was disappointing. My egg skillet was OK, but not as great as i had hoped. I think overall that was the general consensus. Everything was ok but it was truly nothing special. Our waitress also was terrible and provided zero service. We waited over thirty minutes for her to comeback to us to ask for the check and she never came so we had to ask someone else. We spent WAY more time here than we wanted to. I honestly can't say Ill be back at least not to this location. We literally wasted half our day here. read more

This is a hidden breakfast gem that we discovered from doing a yelp search for breakfast spots in the area. We were going to do the occasional outing with Cracker Barrel, but wanted to expand. Thankfully we read reviews about lengthy wait times in the morning and we ordered ahead of time. My wife went and picked up the food about 25 minutes after they opened and she said it was already a 40 minute wait for a table. Calling a to go order was the best idea that day :). The food was quite delicious. The French toast was thick and cooked perfectly with a ton of strawberries to top it off. The bacon was decent, but average at best. They don't take reservations so my best friend called when they opened at 8 am to let them know that we'd have a party of 8 (& a baby) arriving at 11 am. They said it wouldn't be a problem to seat us. We ended up waiting almost an hour to get seated (which did not sit well with the two pregnant women in our party). The manager and his staff knew how unhappy we were and quickly made up for the long wait by giving our table a free fruit bowl and chips w/salsa. The fruit was fresh and the salsa was one of the best I've ever had! My husband and I both got the western omelet, which came with potatoes, an English muffin and fruit. We absolutely loved it and thought it was perfectly priced. Everyone else really seemed to enjoy their meals as well. The white peach pear iced tea was delicious and refreshing. There were some spring/summer specials listed on a table card that I missed when ordering so I'd like to go back to try them. Love the atmosphere. Pretty crowded midday on a Sunday. Went here today after finding out about it through Yelp. We heard weekends are crazy here so we made sure to come on a weekday. We were welcomed as soon as we were noticed and were told it'd be 10 minutes or the bar, which was available immediately...we opted for the bar, cause hunger. Our waitress Corinne was amazing! At some times maybe a little too talkative, but definitely better than the latter! She made our first time great by recommending some of her favorites and going over each drink and entrée. LOVE this place! Perfect brunch spot with kids. Warm, friendly and inviting. The location has lot parking and is in a strip mall so that you can walk off all the good eats afterwards. My youngest loves the cereal snacks they provide for free as you wait. I live the artisan toast with avocado and usually add poached eggs to it... the lemon zest and kosher salt make it perfection. The bacon pops are tasty and we usually share an order as a starter. Their sandwiches and salads are great. The husband enjoyed the scramble too. We made a reservation the day before but it was lost when we got there so the wait was a bit long but we went shopping at the nearby shops so it went quickly. The food was very good and for a good price. I wish there were Mimosa's on the menu but they did not serve alcohol. Service was decent and when he admittedly forgot to put our order in he brought a small bowl of fruit for us to share while we waited. I don't know if I've just been spoiled with great brunch spots in Philly, but man was i disappointed in the brunch at Turning Point. I didn't care for the food and the service was alright. There's a long wait even before you can sit and eat (which is normal for brunch spots) but I don't get the hype about this place. Maybe i just had a bad experience, but the food was mediocre. also, they have this weird back room which is an extension of the main eating area and it doesn't have any windows and feels cramped. I'm assuming it was added on later to fit more customers at a time, but it felt like i was eating in a cafeteria instead of a cute brunch place. Probably won't be back. read more

This place has a different twist on their entrees--instead of the tired french fries saga with your sandwich-you are served delicious taco chips and homemade salsa. cute place tugged in a strip mall. we lucked out heading in past 10:30am on a weekday with party of 5 including two toddlers. waited a few minutes and got the center round table to ourselves! host (feels like an owner) was upbeat and friendly, engaging the kids while working on getting us our table. there are little containers (with lid!!) of different types of cereal like Cheerios and Fruit Loops to keep the little ones happy/less grumpy before/after being seated. a truly family-friendly place. appreciate the witty signs all around the place: "Sometimes it is good to be fresh" "Bacon(n.) Reason why you're not a vegetarian" "Better to listen to a woman's instinct than a man's reason" -- this one is found in the ladies room but i personally think it belongs in the men's. LOL food: - very impressed with the offering; seems like they're covering all bases and a little extra (ex. French press). even the regular coffee is organic. - got the Nutty Irishman as my beverage. the chopped walnut felt a bit out of place, at the same time offered a new way to drink (eat) coffee. (had trouble deciding between the crepe in acai sauce (special) and the southern chicken and waffle, as both sounded so good. friend and i got one each to share.) - the crepe itself was a bit harder/tougher as i expected; the whole thing was rather none too special, rolled up in sliced fruit and ladled on sauce. - i might have been spoiled by Buttermilk Channel in Brooklyn, NY, which sets a reeeeally high standard for chicken and waffle, and The Farmer's Daughter in Easton, MA didn't disappoint. it probably is an unfair comparison between those and this, but i almost wished they didn't have it on the menu and got my hopes high. wasn't expecting fried chicken fingers (ie. pieces), which was not dry, but uninteresting otherwise. waffle was nice and soft but not popping out with anything memorable - usually savoury flavors would be added in the batter for this dish, but i'm tasting a regular plain ol' waffle that can also be used for the sweet preparations. the presence of orange oil in the gravy signaled the brain to expect a bit of kick, but tastebuds were reporting otherwise - and i'm one with very low tolerance of spiciness. it's not a bad dish overall... maybe i was just expecting more from past experiences elsewhere. - hub got a huevos rancheros asked to be made gluten free (not allergic but sensitive), got a great substitute of fresh fruit instead of flour tortilla. he liked it and didn't have an issue afterwards. - kids got their meals and the portion is huge! - it's probably the American way, but i just have not seen so much whipped cream going on, on the same table. two drinks and two dishes came with it. - chocolate chip pancake (kids meal) came with an abundance of choco chip. sprinkled on with confectionery sugar. came along with a thing of syrup. and butter. and whipped cream (unless the cream was from another dish?). holy cow!! i love this place but my kid ain't eating that much sugar in a meal, not even in a day! childhood obesity much??! absolutely an overkill that can use some restraints from the kitchen. overall, ambiance is great; got lots of natural sunlight with the big windows and skylights. servers are efficient and friendly. food is not confetti-popping spectacular, but it's decent. the place gives off a warm and welcoming vibe. i enjoyed my meal and would like to return. maybe even try the French press next time! read more

The Turning Point reminds me of a restaurant I ate at in college which also had amazing skillets! I came here as a treat and boy did we treat ourselves. We started out with a drink- 2 pumpkin spice lattes and 1 caramel mocha drink. The lattes were so delicious-- on the sweeter side, but would you expect anything different? They include a stick with rock sugar which is my favorite detail of their dishes. Even though the bacon lollipops seem like a great idea, I would say skip this for their other food. The apple and caramel is yummy, but the bacon was non crispy and pretty fatty. Our main courses were what stole the show. I got the Wilbur skillet which seemed to be a favorite. It comes with avocado (of course), tons of bacon bits, and enough cheese to even make ME unable to finish the dish. It had a great mix of flavors and definitely falls into the comfort food category.
