So was the silverware. So to the food. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap. Very dry chicken. Very little taste. Very bland. My gf ordered eggs bacon potatos and white toast. The bacon tasted weird. My gf said everything tasted funny. I tried the bacon and it tasted like plastic to me. Will not be returning. Better food and alot better prices at a local diner. read more

Went on Mother's Day so had to wait for 45 mins because the place was packed and it was pouring outside. Roadhouse Grilled cheese was to die for. Unlimited original regular coffee was perfect to top it off in the rain. Would highly recommend. read more

I want to love this place, but it's just ok. I've tried going here on 4-5 occasions and the menu looks amazing. But every entree I eat is so bland and blah. I got the Salted Caramel Waffle. The presentation was beautiful, almost too good to eat, but I'm glad I dug in. It was as delicious as beautiful. The bits of bacon on top gave it the perfect amount of saltiness balanced with the creamy vanilla bean mascarpone. I could do without the walnuts, but it added a nice crunch to the meal. Love, love, love this restaurant! This was our first time visiting the Marlton location, we have also dined at the Cherry Hill establishment. Both locations are excellent. I ordered the Ironman Combo (egg white vegetable omelette and multi grain pancakes). Everything was delicious, especially the pancakes. I really love that they serve fresh fruit with their meals. My husband had the Tuscany omelette. It came with potatoes, toast and fresh fruit. Plenty of food with each breakfast. He took half home to enjoy at another time. read more

One of my more favorite brunch restaurants to go to that has a lot of healthy options to choose from. I've never had any issues with my food or wait staff...they're always professional and more than pleasant. I usually go for breakfast items when I'm there and am never disappointed. Recently I had their pancakes that were nice and fluffy which is always a plus. I don't drink coffee normally but my siblings seem to like it. I usually come here with family. Honestly the only complaint anyone I feel that could have is that the wait can be rather long. So sometimes the less people the better. Other than that it's really good place to go to catch up and get good food with loved ones. *tip: Sundays I feel are super busy because a lot of people go for brunch after Church. read more

This place used to be my go to breakfast place but today visit was so disappointing. Coffee was so watered down, potatoes that came with every dish were dried up/burnt, a piece of hair found on the bottom of another plate , they got my son's Wilbur Skillet order wrong 3 times!!! He ended up getting his order when all of us were finishing up our meals. The manager took it off the bill but the fact that the every plate had something wrong was very disappointing. I thought the eggs tasted powdery. Found out this venue uses liquid eggs instead off the real deal. No telling what chemical formula went into that egg mixture. While I joined a wait list 30 minutes ago, when we arrived we were told others called ahead and we would still have a 20 minute wait. Clearly they can not handle calls, an online wait list, and people walking in to quote actual wait times to anyone. Cherry hill doesn't seem to have a time management problem, but ultimately first watch wait times have always been on point. Dining at the Turning Point is like being on a seesaw. Sitting high for a moment and suddenly you are at the low-point again. My earlier visits to the Turning Point were a series of lows, consisting of service issues and average meals, and some high points in which my breakfast and lunch meals were satisfying and the service was great. Like my cousin giving me that evil grin prior to jumping off the seesaw at my high-point sending me crashing to the ground, my good experiences at Turning Point set me up for a crash, more like a dose of reality; steadily inconsistent. The seating-time management translates into a crowd management issue. People walking away the minute they saw that crowds through the door. I have waited at other establishments for Sunday Brunch/Breakfast much longer than I ever waited at Turning point. I have no issue when it comes to waiting but, don't give me a time only to keep increasing it when my wait time is up. If it's a 90 minute wait fine; don't tell me thirty minutes. The hostess was calling the names of parties that put their names on the list and left because they probably refused to wait any longer. I am not a fan of call-ahead seating. I only called ahead last weekend because we were dining with friends with a toddler. When I called to put my name on the list I was told forty minutes. My party arrived with twenty minutes left. Twenty minutes later, we were informed that it was going to be another twenty minutes, after that another twenty minutes. We waited an additional 45 minutes before we were finally seated. The only breakfast item I would only consider eating is the pancakes. I have long written off the eggs and will only order them as a side. My wife suggested that I try the French toast. Instead of going with the ordinary French toast, I ordered the corn bread French toast which did not meet my expectations. I received two small pieces of corn bread. The children's waffle was bigger that what I had. The menu says dipped. It was probably dipped into the air because it was not dipped in any French-toast batter. There was no French toast flavor at all. The mascarpone butter was a nice touch but too bad it didn't compliment anything. Like I said there were some bright spots here. I stopped in for my first lunch service at the Turning Point during the summer. The Pavo Cubano, the "Turning Points" take on the Cuban sandwich, was not bad. Had the sandwich stayed on the press, or the grill a little longer it would have enhanced the flavors already working together a little better. I have to honestly say it was not bad all. Despite this one brief moment in the sun, my recent visits only reinforced my opinion of the Turning Point. It is not all it's cracked up to be, and Marlton is desperately in need of some additional breakfast locations. Besides one individual we encountered, the wait staff is always friendly and ready to do all they can to take care of the customers they are serving. If they can tweak some other issues this place would probably a great place. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I thought this was one worth taking the time for. I love turning point- I've been to 6 locations throughout the years and each time have been greeted with great food and great service. So when I found out about the Marlton location, which is close to my brothers home, I couldn't wait to go there with him. Unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. I expected to wait about an hour for a table, and was fine doing so, however when we were finally seated the booth we were seated at had dozens of knats on the walls. I have added pictures of the knats on the walls to this page. When we asked for our party of 2 to be reseated, the manager told us it would be another 20 minute wait, however there was an empty table across from us that could seat 6 at which only 2 people were seated and served shortly after we asked. The sever did come to our table quickly, and the food was delicious as usual with the exception of my nutty Irish coffee served to me mostly on the saucer rather than in the cup. They did not even attempt to serve me a clean saucer or even a straw, as the cup was completely covered with syrup and cream. I added a picture of it to this page. At other turning points, severs have constantly come to my table to check in with us about our meal, but here we weren't asked once while I did see them ask other tables. I know I will not be returning to the marlton location after this experience. I don't want to jump to conclusions, or make assumptions about why we were treated so poorly at this location, but I do want to share my uncomfortable experience at the marlton turning point. read more

Good sized menu with lots of breakfast or lunch options. The skillets are good - particularly the Wilbur. If you get your eggs poached, make sure to ask for them soft (if you want that). They tend to come out overdone. I had lunch food here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious! They have many combo options and I had a southwest salad (huge) and caprese panini that were both very good. They will give you a to go cup if you're having their regular coffee which I think is very nice. They're linked to an app called nowait where you can get on the list in advance and see how many parties are ahead of you which is helpful because they are always very crowded. Shame on me for not reviewing this place earlier. I've been here so many times now that I don't know where to start. There is always a decent sized wait but have no fear, you can order food from their bar area. The offer breakfast/lunch options. Menu is full of options and they always have new things. My fiancé and I always debate between their lunch options or breakfast but regardless of what we get its always on point. We came here for some breakfast. The ambience and decor is lovely. We had a great table right by the window. They have a great list of different types of beverages which are very tasty. The food sounds delicious per the description but is just okay. Who has a Cuban sandwich that isn't pressed? Maybe they didn't understand that in Philly being a popular florida sandwich. I think the server should have mentioned it ahead of time. His job was to give good service right? The service is pretty bad to say the least. I was trying pretty hard to like it regardless of being given no straws (I got up and got them myself), 2 menus for 3 adults (got up to ask for a third) , bringing out sides before the entree even was close to coming out, and giving us a to go box so small I had to smoosh my French toast into the box (it barely closed). Seriously how much a to go box to make your client do that? Overall, even though this place has a big selection of options, it's mediocre and the service is just annoying. I wouldn't go back because there are probably a ton of other options to try that have to be better. read more

I have been to Turning Point twice and both times I loved it. The food and service are great and although I haven't ever had a long wait, reservations would be nice when we want to bring visitors. It's a step above Panera and a diner in my opinion and the food I and my dining partners have had has been stellar. Really delicious!! On a recent Tuesday, I went to Turning Point with my grandma and my baby. There was a short wait, which surprised me for a midweek lunch. BUT, with a stroke of genius, the restaurant supplied little salad-dressing containers full of dried cereal (Cheerios, Froot Loops) right at the front desk for the kiddies. A 10 minute wait is like no wait at all when my kids is sitting happily munching on snacks. The restaurant itself is lovely. It still has that Pottery Barn feel inside (but I do miss you, Pottery Barn! *tear*), a nice fireplace breaking up the rooms, brushed nickel fixtures around, a clean restroom... really, I can't say anything bad about it. And then there was the food. What we got was so much better than the Panera-style meal I was expecting! My grandma ordered the special, which was a mushroom quesadilla. I got a chicken and pesto panini. Both were so yummy, served with tortilla chips and salsa (my fave, and so much more appreciated over regular ol' potato chips!). For dessert we ordered the cheesecake with strawberries, and I'm pretty sure we nearly licked our plates. Next time I'm in the area doing a little shopping, I will definitely revisit The Turning Point over some of the others I typically hit up in the Promenade. read more

Stopped in for brunch today and had a great experience. Our waitress was quick to greet us, introduce herself, and take our orders once we were ready. She checked back regularly to make sure we were all set once we got our food and then didn't pester us when we lingered a little while talking after our meal. I had the Full Monty (a lighter version of a Monte Cristo) and my friend had the Tropical Crunch Waffle. Our food came out more quickly than I had expected and everything tasted great. The french toast bread with which my sandwich was made was the perfectly french toasty -- crispy on the outside and little squishy on the inside -- just the way I like it. The strawberry reduction came with it made the sandwich -- a nice balance of sweet to go with the salt of the ham and swiss. We both ordered tea and I thought it was a nice touch that the tea came out with a little rock candy stirring stick to sweeten the tea. I found that to be a charming little touch alongside the personal teapots with hot water. Finally, the atmosphere in the The Turning Point was really cute. The decor was fresh and bright looking. It made me feel like I was in a New England beach town. Also, despite the number of people in the restaurant, it never got particularly loud, so it made for a great place to catch up with my friend.
