I've been there a number of times for breakfast and lunch. Always good! Clean restaurant, ample parking and usually no wait on weekdays.

We like this place a lot. The best part is how we can check in on Yelp so we don't have a long wait when we arrive. We used to go to Charcoal but the wait is always insane. Now we come here. It's our go-to for brunch. Great spot. read more

Since this place has opened, it's been busy as ever. I went to the one in Warrington a year or two ago and I enjoyed my experience there on a not-so-busy morning, with attentive wait staff. This time, not so much! I probably won't be back in a rush. The food was decently good. The service was another story. We got a spread of items. The salted caramel waffle, cinnamon bun pancakes, a side of pork roll, iced coffee, s'mores hot chocolate, the roadhouse bacon stack grilled cheese, the low country shrimp hash bowl, and the bourbon walnut banana pancake. Most of the food items were great. The cinnamon bun pancakes were true to their name, but were incredibly sweet from far too much icing on top. I still enjoyed them after scraping off most of the icing. The low country hash bowl was excellent minus the fact that they didn't poach the egg properly and the yolk was solid on the inside. I enjoyed the roadhouse bacon stack but there were too many onions and not enough bacon. Even the things that I wished would be improved, I did not bother to ask the wait staff. This was because they were not attentive at ALL! The waitress didn't check on us often. She passed us many times as we tried to get her attention when she walked by, but she didn't see us. Even the people who were dressed very formally (which I believe to be managers) did not stop to check on us! There were 3 people who seemed to be managers - man with a tablet, and two women. The man with the tablet was exceptionally annoying, because he was just walking around staring at tables with his tablet in his hand. Not once did any of the "managers" ask us how we were enjoying our meal, nor did they notice when we tried to flag them down! The man with the tablet kept walking as he was too focused on his tablet/staring at tables. Even some of the wait staff didn't seem to be crosstrained. A young gentleman spent my entire meal walking up and down the aisle and the only thing he did was set a table when one party left. No interaction with customers. I understand that it was busy, but given the sheer AMOUNT of staff, customer service and attentiveness was lacking severely. May not come back for this reason. read more

Such a treat!!! The Bacon Lollipops are to die for!! All of our food was good. Fresh fruit and veggies served. Great tasting meal with a calm easy environment. Relaxxxx. The vegan options for my nephew, he loved. I will be back !!!! Thanks for the great breakfast and service. Our waiter was a little rough around the edges but she was good. No complaints. She wasn't as warm and engaging as the other waiters seemed but no fuss. You still get 4 stars because no one is perfect or that exceptional. Keep up the standard in every area. read more

We ordered a basic breakfast that you'd think is made fresh. It's not. The potatoes were cardboard hard and horribly salty. I returned them and the waitress came back telling us that they are pre-made and can't be made with less salt. Really? The easiest meal of the day isn't freshly made? She was nice until the end when she seemed to develop an attitude. I guess the full 22% tip for writing down our order was not enough for her. I don't know if she caught slack for our meal or not but that's not our problem. If you want a freshly made breakfast, this is NOT your place. The French toast is also soggy. read more

Went for lunch today. I had the eggs Benedict and friend had the Wilbur skillet. The hollandaise sauce on my eggs was tasteless and didn't look like any hollandaise I've ever seen. The potatoes were hard and covered in salt. My friend's skillet was very dry and tasteless as well. Will be crossing this off my list. read more

I visited a friend in Newtown this weekend and had brunch at Turning Point and was really impressed with their vegan offerings! I had a vegan combo special that included vegan sausage patties, Just Egg, home fries and a vegan waffle. It was one of the best vegan breakfasts I've had and my non-vegan friends also really enjoyed their food. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area! read more

Ca va en français - i.e., all right. I'm not feeling the "fantastic" reviews that others are posting, but that may be due to my seating location and particular menu item. The good - it's nice to see another dining addition to Newtown (not only pizza!), and this one seems to be family friendly with a good attention to some organic ingredients in their coffees and teas. Service was pleasant, and the overall environment is boisterous in a positive manner. We were seated promptly, and I liked the general aesthetic. The not-so-good - the food was only okay for me, nothing too sophisticated, but maybe I shouldn't dial up the expectations too much for a "breakfast/brunch" establishment. I lean more toward the Harvest type of cuisine, so expect some more attention to the dressings, how the items are prepared and cooked, etc. I did like the Kale drink, however, my Martha's Vineyard salad was only okay, the chicken rather tasteless, and my request to lightly toss the salad with the dressing ignored. The sugared walnuts are a good example of trying to be healthy, but not succeeding in spades. I was seated in a back area next to the piles of napkins and about 20 containers of disinfectant wipes, so maybe not the best ambiance! Overall though, I can imagine the items leaning more toward the breakfast end of the equation, especially the coffees and teas as well as egg dishes seem promising. The front end of the restaurant seems airy and bright, and there is outside seating for the warmer weather. read more

We had a lovely brunch today. My husband and I shared the Berry Chocolaty Pancakes and the Tuscany omelette. They both were equally enjoyable! They always seem to be busy but I have never waited more than 20 minutes for a table. I do not mind waiting for a table because of the quality of food and the service. In this area people are very selective of restaurants and this means the bad establishments are never busy and eventually close. I just wish they were open for dinner. read more

Respectable brunch menu at a price that won't break the bank! Arrived on Christmas Eve at 9am, party of three and was seated quickly at a sunny table with huge windows. Waitress quickly came over to offer drinks, she was attentive and accurate when taking our orders. Our food took a little while but the place was decently crowded. The service was good; nothing wrong with it. The food, however, is the thing that caused a 2 rating. Ordered the Power Pancakes. Worst pancakes of any flavor ever! Cooked so the outside was hard and crispy with a layer of uncooked raw oats sprinkled on top. The inside tasted like uncooked densely packed cookie dough. Pancakes are supposed to be light and fluffy. I have had power pancakes at other places and they have been very tasty; not so here. Not sure I will ever return. read more

We went just after Christmas at this brunch place. The food that we ordered was okay. Just one item was good out of entire four different orders. Service was horrible! I guess the waiter needed more coffee than us. He did not provide silverware after getting our food. No paper napkins were provided. Milk was not provided after getting the tea at the table. This is a great brunch or breakfast spot. I like that it's BYOB and we were able to bring champagne for mimosas. I had the chicken and waffles which I liked a lot. I'm looking forward to future visits so I can try more items on the menu. read more

Went for brunch around 10:30. No wait although only a few empty tables. The food was excellent! Many unique menu options. A little pricier than most breakfast places but very good if you want something different. We did feel it was overwhelmingly NOISY. This seems to be a trend in newer restaurants, one which I don't like. The back room is a little less noisy. read more

We did not have a good experience at Turning Point on a Sunday when we went for brunch . I had called couple of hours ahead and got a table for 7 people for 12 noon. We literally did not get our table until 2pm. They kept on telling us that there is one party ahead of us only, but yet kept seating other people before us. We actually did not even wait till 2pm, we instead went to another restaurant nearby and had our brunch, after which I received the text that our table is ready. It was 2pm then. Understanding and keeping the covid situation in mind, 2 hours is a long time to wait. They need to do a better job at seating people . read more

Turning AWAY point :( First of all we were really excited about the new place in Newtown. Coming in, the place was PACKED and we waited - not too long. We were seated in the quiet warm room. Good ends here. First you are greeted with dirty glasses and cutlery - food stains and fingerprints provided. Then you wait quite some time for food ( we ordered salads and sandwiches). But the real bummer is food! It is BAD. Inedible. Drenched in horrible mayo, taste is off, weird combinations BAD. We all left with upset stomachs. Maybe their breakfast foods are better, but I don't think we're coming back to check. EDIT: Actually got food poisoning - ew! Food must have been days old. What a shame! read more

Had breakfast there today with my wife and daughter. Very clean and bright inside. I had an omelette. My wife had a breakfast bowl. My daughter ordered pancakes. My omelette and potatoes were warm at best. My wife's omelette bowl was cold. My daughter's pancakes were warm. They did remake my wife's breakfast bowl which took an additional five minutes. Not a great experience there. I can't really recommend it. Guess we'll just be sticking with Jake's eatery. read more

Took my mom here for mothers day and the service was exceptional despite how busy they were. Also, the oldest mom per table received an adorable, large turning point mug in which was such a cute gesture! The atmosphere is lively, the French press coffee options are good as well as their various signature drink options. Will definitely come back! read more

AWFUL, NASTY HOSTESS. On sunday Oct. 18, 2020 I online ordered food. When my app said it was time to pick up, I went inside. The hostess said it would be 1 or 2 minutes. BEING THAT IT WAS COOL OUTSIDE, I waited in the vestibule. Understand that NOBODY coud see me here. Well, ~30 seonds later the hostess says, "sir. U cannot wait here, u must stay outside". I asked if she would bring out the food, and she says, "NO, I WILL NOT". I then cancelled order and walked away. SERVICE LIKE THIS WILL BE SHOUTED FROM THE HIGHEST MOUNTAINS. The food is average for this chain. Their Warrington location is much better with better staff. The few times I've been here since the opening, our food has taken very long and orders have been incorrect. Restaurant is staffed with younger help, that doesn't like to work. read more
