Very fresh, fast, and convenient. We had lobster rolls which came with a side of fries. The bread was surprisingly good and not the typical "hot dog bun" style. Husband was skeptical at first but quickly changed his mind! We could easily tell quality ingredients were used in everything we ate. Their fries were extra crispy and delicious. Food is great. We had the lobster roll which was very generous and a crab cake roll both served on ciabatta rolls. I prefer buttered and toasted hot dog rolls. My wife would prefer a crab roll to a crab sandwiche. I won't go back for the lobster roll and my wife can't get a traditional crab roll there. Too bad. I might try some of their fried food. just one visit so far, but I really liked it. I had the clam roll. I really just wanted a smaller portion of the clam platter. A lot of clams for a "roll." Next time I'll tell them keep the roll because with clams this good, I am certainly not going to fill by belly with bread, but clam bellies. I only took a quick glance at the rest of the blackboard menu - looked like a lot of seafood sandwiches and plates. Also hamburgers for the uber land lovers. Pretty sure no quinoa or kale salads. Took an hour for a fried fish sandwich and a cheeseburger. I would have been okay if it had been worth the wait when it came but it was COLD!?!?! Waited forever and it was COLD?? It was actually terrible besides. The burger was an inedible hockey puck and the huge, hard bun was an ill fit for delicate fish that squished and fell apart while trying to bite through the bun. Well we just ate here on a Memorial Day 2019. The guy working the register was not very friendly to start. They were completely out of French fries and told us we could get a salad or the last 2 orders of onion rings. They didn't mention that they would cost extra until we were paying. Our order rang up for like $15 more than it was supposed to and the guy only fixed it when I said something. We sat down at our table that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. We then went to get silverware. They only had spoons and knives, no forks. My wife and I both ordered sandwiches, but both came out with no bread. We told the server and he didn't say much but disappeared with our food and came back with remade orders. I ran to the restroom before my food came. That place was dirtier than a truck stop bathroom. There was urine everywhere and no soap. I returned to the table to eat, trying to get past the crappy atmosphere. I will say our food was pretty good, but unfortunately we will never go back given how dirty this place is. read more

This place is a real find. I have been working in Acton since January, and this is the first restaurant I have found that goes beyond sustenance or special occasions: down-home, authentic, inexpensive, delicious. I ordered the fresh fried haddock and fries for under $9, and finished them as soon as I got them. There is fresh seafood for sale as you walk in, a counter at which you order, and nice indoor and outdoor seating. The whole place seems tucked away from the street. Had had a special connection to this restaurant and the guys working there as it is right next door to my son's school and we are often getting an after school snack there. They could not be more welcoming and interactive with my son while providing fresh and tasty food in good order. In reference to Nina D's review and question: I was in there this weekend and the same man with reading glasses spoke to me and my friend. He was incredibly rude - and at one point he spoke to us like he was educating two 5 year olds and all we were doing was asking a couple of innocent questions about the menu. I have gotten soggy fries there - not all the time. The food is good for the area, but I'm actually embarrassed to set foot in there again. read more

I worked with John to place a catering order for a ~20 person dinner I hosted. We worked out a great menu of clam chowder, salad, stuffed shrimp, crab cakes, salmon filets, and steak tips. All were phenomenal; the chowder and stuffed shrimp are not to be missed. Steak tips were cooked perfectly and amazing even after sitting in our take-out containers for a bit. Just found this little market and I am so happy I did! I purchased a few pounds of salmon and a couple of pounds of shrimp (which they cooked for me as I waited - they were for shrimp cocktail). The counter person was very helpful in helping me decide how much food I needed for my guests, as I wasn't quite sure, and he was exactly right. The food was a huge hit and we had enough for all! My guests raved about the salmon and the shrimp were delicious! I have always used The Quarter Deck in Maynard for seafood but now that it's gone this little gem will be my go to market from here on out. Anyone else who used to frequent the quarter deck should definitely try this little fish market in West Concord - you won't be disappointed! read more

We were in town for hockey showcase and drove about 30 minutes to Twin Seafood because of the good reviews. We walked in and the man looked at us as if seeing us was the last thing he wanted. He was neither friendly nor helpful. Being from Alaska, I really wanted something lobster so ordered the bisque. It was lukewarm and tasted like canned lobster bisque. The room was cold and drafty. My son sensed the unfriendly aura and ordered nothing. Since most reviews are pretty good, maybe he was having a bad day. I won't be back to find out. read more

Great food -- when you can get it. Two weeks in a row, tried to call for takeout. Phone perpetually busy. Went in person and both times the thing we wanted (lobster roll and clams, hardly unexpected orders) sold out. Clerk implies we should have called . . . Then we learn they took the phone off the hook on purpose. Blamed the customer for not doing something they made impossible. Manager then yells, "we were really busy!" I'm a fan, but they are getting inconsistent. One time the fish will be almost as good as what you can get in Wellfleet, the next week it's overcooked and greasy. They've been closed (weirdly) on a couple of night we've tried to call. No message on the phone -- just no answer. At worst, that will make people think that they are out of business, and at best, that something is sketchy. Same with their Web site being gone. Oh, well -- it didn't even have a real menu anyway. I've seen some inappropriate behavior in there, too. Guys, people can hear you and see you. So sadly, my impression is that this is yet another West Acton food spot that could fade. It's too bad. It looked promising when they set up in West Acton. But they should be savvy enough to know this isn't the face they're presenting anymore.
