I've been here two times and still don't get the hype- I'm not a health nut so I usually don't pay attention to this but most of their food is just pure gluttony. If I go out to eat I'm not looking for something super healthy but I also don't want something that I know is gonna send me right back to bed for the rest of the day. I think some more simple options would do them good. Another thing that put me off this place is they have something called a "sharing charge" They don't try and hide it, its right on the menu but I had never heard of it and I thought it was really strange. This was the second time for us coming together for brunch on Mother's Day. We had a nice time, except for the fact that they started vacuuming the floor while people were still eating. I get that they close at 3:30pm, but we were only sat at 2:45pm. They stop seating at 3pm. We started with the French Toast Fondue which are little bites of French toast served with sliced strawberries and blueberries and a little cup each of caramel and chocolate sauce. Very good! My mom wanted regular pancakes for her entree, and it came served with a bourbon flavored maple syrup. She liked them a lot. My daughter ordered the Pancake Taco, which came 3 to an order. Big enough to share, and looked really good. Three pancakes folded and stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese and bacon. I ordered the Florentine Benny which comes with a Bearnaise sauce instead of the typical Hollandaise for regular eggs Benedict. I called the server over thinking that they forgot to add the sauce on top, but she pointed out that the Bearnaise was already on there. It was so thin and watery that I literally couldn't see any. I just asked her if she would bring out a little more on the side, and I literally poured it on like melted butter. The consistency was all wrong. But for a place that just serves breakfast/brunch, the sauce is a very important component of the dish. If I wanted poached eggs served on an English muffin, I could have made that myself at home and saved $19. Still, the place is cute, The food is good, albeit a little on the pricey side. But we will come back. I'll just order something different next time. Great Bloody Mary, nice and spicy. They added a celery stick on the second one that I ordered. Instead, we were placed at the very last table in the back under a thermostat. We were told it was for "server rotation," even though the restaurant was not busy. My wife spoke with the manager (a blonde woman), but no effort was made to accommodate us or correct the situation. My wife has visited several times before with her girlfriends and never experienced any issues, which makes this situation even more concerning. As an interracial couple (my wife is white and I'm Black), the treatment felt dismissive and unacceptable. We left and will not return. We had planned to bring a party of 14 in March to celebrate International Women's Day, but we will be taking our business elsewhere. Well... My mom and I arrived two minutes prior to opening. When they did open we were brought to a table right away. I started with a cinnamon roll latte and she had a hot chocolate. They were not hot..not even warm. Room temperature at best. Not sure how it wasn't hot if they just opened. On to food.. The wait was 45 minutes but they use a wait list system that shows your place in line while using your own phone! We were able to hang out outside in the sunny weather as we waited for our table. We were inside and seated in about 35 minutes. The menu is just brunch food, some of which has a twist to it. Drinks are typical bar drinks but catered towards brunch, as well. We had the breakfast old fashioned and it was delicious! Ice cold, smooth, with the perfect aftertaste of maple syrup. For entrees I tried the twister tater tots which are tots with scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon. It certainly hit the spot. He had the pancake tacos. Imagine tacos with pancakes instead of tortillas, held in a taco holder, with scrambled eggs and cheese! You can substitute just about everything or ask for certain things on the side. Our server was fantastic and apologized when our next round of drinks was taking longer than intender. You can tell the entire staff here is constantly checking tables without leaning over and asking how everything is. They're silently in the background making sure drinks are full and food is delicious. Prices are fair and they use a tablet to pay so your card never leaves your sight. Upon walking in, I was greeted right away. My waitress, Bailey, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the entire menu, offering great recommendations. I was even able to modify my order to suit my preferences. I ordered the apple pie French toast with a side of chicken breast, along with an iced coffee float that came with four flavors of my choice. I selected s'mores, cinnamon bun, crème brûlée, and maple pecan. Each flavor was really good, even though I'm not typically a coffee drinker.
