Very good doner kebab. I tried doner sandwich and meat and bread were amazing. Service was good. Price is little high for a doner sandwich but I think because bread and meat they use are high quality. Restroom was clean. Plenty of parking. There are inside and outside seating.

Yummy flatbread sandwich. Bread is thick and meat is well seasoned. Could use some jalapeños or pepperoncinis tho-maybe I'll bring my own next time. Nice casual option. Ample parking. Sandwiches do take a while to make so order ahead.

I am so sad I have been craving Twisted Meats because it was so delicious last time and I drove here from Oxnard and I couldn't be more disappointed. The beef and lamb meat was not on the rotisserie and that should have been the first clue. The meat was so dry and not fresh. The portion was much smaller than the last time I was here and I understand times are tough for restaurants but if you're gonna charge the prices then it's disappointing. It was $32 for the doner box with fries and a side of hummus and pita. The hummus was dry and not smooth and creamy like the last time and the pita was so hot by the time they cooled off they were too hard to eat. They charge .49 to have the fries on the side and I wish they would have at least mentioned that. The gal who was working was sweeping the floor which I appreciate a clean restaurant but she didn't wash her hands before working the register and serving me my meal. We love to try to eat at locally owned restaurants but Oh well I guess my craving for Twisted Meats is no longer.

The food was delish & offered great value for the price. The chicken was my fav , but I also tried the half & half option, which was awesome. It allowed me to experience the flavors of both beef and lamb doner. The team was friendly and helpful. Lars assisted us with any questions we had about the menu, and Eldor was kind too He even brought us a special doner bread to try, which was crispy, warm, and paired perfectly with hummus I recommend this place & will definitely be returning next time we visit Thousand Oaks. This place is great! It is the closest thing to the doner wraps we had in Germany. I love the fact there is a restaurant where my meat loving friends can order two different types of meat and I can order my vegan meal. The rice is so flavorful and the veggies are very fresh. The portions are large. The staff is friendly, attention and informative. They have both high tables and booths. It is cozy inside but they also have a great outside patio. We will definitely be frequenting this spot!

I stopped by after doing a quick search in the area for a top lunch spot. They were right off the 101 freeway going north, inside a plaza. There was a good size parking lot, but at lunch time it filled up. Inside is nice and clean, very modern cafe/bistro vibes. You order at the counter and the lady brought me my food when it was ready. There is inside seating but not a lot and there is no real place to wait for a to-go order inside. The menu is large and clear and plenty of offerings but it's not overwhelming. The cashier was super friendly and very helpful. It took about 8-12 minutes to get my food. Donor Sanwhich w/ Lamb and Beef - 4 Star - the bread was unique, almostlike a small loaf that was hallowed out so you just have a crisp shell. It was a great vehicle for the mounds of meat and veggie. I opted for no tomatoes and went with the spicy sauce. I definitely would get at least 1 more sauce to balance the meat out. Fries - 5 Star - I addded the fries and drink to make it combo. The size was kind of on the small side for a $7 bump but they were really good. Slightly battered and preseasoned with a great crunch. The garlic sauce is like a garlicky ranch and was also really good on the sandwich. My total was $29 and I definitely could have split with my wife, but it was my birthday so powered through and ate it all.

Having grown up eating Döner, it's tough to find a place in the US that meets that flavor profile. Twisted meats absolutely nails it. Get the lamb and beef with all of the veggies for the most authentic taste. Sauces are unique, the tzatziki is the closest we found to our hometown locale. The bread is perfection, and the fries are cooked well. The restaurant is efficient, clean, and the food outstanding. Go!

Well we came back, again! I really cannot stress enough how good the Doner is. The bread is wonderful and fresh, made daily with imported German flour. The shaved lamb on the sandwich is to die for. Load up the veggies and use original sauce. Look at the photo, that's "1" sandwich. Huge, my wife and I split. Also fresh kegs of imported German beer. Come on! What else could you ask for. Get here, yesterday!

One of the mediterranean places, I've tried here in Thousand Oaks. The meat was very tasty and tender. The flavors were omg. The service was very good and attentive. The restaurant exuded an inviting cleanliness that immediately put me at ease, while the tantalizing aroma wafting through the air ignited my senses and heightened my anticipation. Used to be so good. We brought everyone here. Reminiscent of college food, but better. We are here once a week. We are German speakers and appreciated the food. The bread was amazing! Then we came back. Took 40 minutes to get cold, food. Rice was so hard that it looked like raw yellow lentils. Leftover meat and questionable freshness. When we told the server with red hair, she said it was hot and challenged us by saying it was. Nope. It was cold. Secondly none of the meat was cut from the Doner. Really? 100 bucks for 4 dishes and a beer. Nope. Up charges for every thing. Speaking of beer, it was 1/2" from the top. Seriously? Oh. Don't cut the Döner when it's still raw (see pictures). It's gross. And the pan on top of the machine is all the chopped up meat from the spindle of gristle that you cut. Go anywhere else. This was disappointing. And Ruben, sorry. As much as we appreciated the free Kolsch... and platitudes that this was fresh food you make everyday, this was terrible.

The Döners are the best I've had outside of Germany. Ruben and Lars the owners are amazing hosts. I've eaten there twice and am contemplating to make this a once a week stop. In addition to the Original Döner you can also order a Wrap, Salad and Box. Each item comes with your choice of sauce and toppings. The bread is fantastic and all ingredients are fresh. First time there. Ordered the beef and lamb Doner sandwich with classic and chef special sauce and it was amazing! Price was higher than I expected but I don't mind paying more for good quality and it was a pretty big sandwich. I hope they keep the quality and taste the same and not go the way of other similar doner places. I will definitely be back for more! Service was very friendly too. read more

Finally a place that sells a true European style Döner. Absolutely love it. Just keep in mind you are going to a sandwich place rather than a full service restaurant. Location is within a mall with plenty of parking and quick on and off the 101. read more

I lived in Turkiye for 3 years and this is the closest to Doner I have had anywhere in LA. The owner is German and used his country home made bread recipe for the Doner sandwich. If you have ever had fresh bread in Europe you know what that is all about. If you don't want to wait in line, order ahead and pick it up. 30 min in line order at 10pm on a Friday. New and delicious döner kebab (and more!) restaurant. Hubby and I went for lunch and experienced delicious food and wonderful & attentive service from the new owner and his brother. Hubs loved his beef & lamb sandwich with original sauce. We ended up getting the spicy sauce hu too and both were excellent on everything including the fries. I don't eat meat and decided on the falafel döner salad with a side of fries. Both were delicious but the fries were soooo good...perfectly crispy. In fact, I would go there just for the fries! It is in the higher end of pricing, but with the quality of food and service I think it's worth it. read more

I ordered the beef and lamb döner wrap with extra meat. Incredible beef and lamb. It's all really fresh, veggies were excellent. Get the original sauce (garlic and dill). Tastes like it came straight from Germany, where I had my first döner 15-20 years ago. My only regret was I had no more room in my stomach. Happened to drive by this place looking for something new and so glad we stopped! Had the beef and lamb sandwich and rice box. Kids had chicken and nothing was left! Amazing and at a reasonable price!!! The original sauce and chef's sauce were so tasty. The staff was super friendly and let us try the sauces before ordering. They even gave us complimentary zucchini fries to try and they were the best we have ever had. We will be back (probably in a few days)!!! Everything about this order was just weird and not enjoyable. This wrap was big enough to feed three. The quesadilla (sorry, Tortilla) was so thin and raw that the actual "wrap" of the whole thing was so loose that it instantly fell apart as soon as I picked it up. I tried to put the remaining parts in a bowl and enjoy it, but it was basically like shreds of chicken jerky. There was a sour factor to the sauce used, that was just gross. (Update) changed to 2 star due to the passive aggressive email response by management. read more

Just had this for the first time today, and WOW, it was good! I had never had German Doner before and really wanted to try this place the same day I discovered it. Glad I did, because I loved everything about it! The friendly guy at the register (along with a nice customer) helped me decide what to try. They recommended the sandwich. I got that with beef & lamb and all the veggies on it, and I 100% agree with them - it was amazing! One of my favorite parts of it was the bread. I love when a sandwich has tasty bread, and this one was no exception! Incredible! I got mine togo, but it was a nice little restaurant with a decent amount of seats as well. First Time and My Wife and I Loved The Food. Everything was fresh, Best we have had ion a long time. Thousand Oaks was really in need of a worthy restaurant. Lars and Ruben were Gracious hosts. We even Sampled the German Milk. What Can I say, I think Spaten ? My family and I were on vacation looking for something different for lunch while visiting Ventura, CA. We stumbled upon Twisted Meats and decided to give them a try. We ordered a beef and lamb Doner wrap and 2 beef and lamb Doner sandwiches. The sandwiches had fried included on the sandwich, not as a side item. We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. They were certainly different than what we are accustomed to in TN. The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was very nice and clean. I would highly suggest you give them a try if you haven't done so already! read more

Whhhooooo, this döner slaps. Not only it is authentic but it also tastes better than a lot of kebabs I've tried in Germany. And they now serve German beer. What is there not to love? They don't skimp out on the meat portions either. The beef and lamb is my favorite. The bread is perfect too; holds the meat and sauces without getting soggy. This place is definitely a must for anyone craving real döners. read more

All of the food at Twisted Meats is amazing! I especially love the Döner Sandwiches with beef and lamb meat, all of the veggies and tons of the Chef's Special (chipotle) sauce on top. The bread is crispy and soft at the same time and the perfect complement to the tasty meat and veggies. This is the 3rd time that we have come here since they opened almost 2 weeks ago! We were at the outlets and was looking for a local halal place on the way home... we stumbled on this place.. was very clean and a nice establishment! The menu was nice and simple food was 10/10 the chicken box and fries were delicious!! What stood out the most was the 2 gentleman working on Saturday evening.. I was there with my family and small children their service was outstanding and they were both very sweet and accommodating!! Made our dinner that extra special!! But there was enough of it emerging to ask about it and It turned out there were chunks and pieces of beef all throughout the green beans under the top layer (where none was visible) that I had just completely consumed. I REALLY hope I didn't consume any, but I was eating multiple green beans at a time with a fork and I hope my fork didn't pick any of it up. I should have taken a picture because it wasn't just like one little piece, there was a lot of pieces of meat hidden in this pure vegetable dish. Those who don't eat meat don't eat it for a number of reasons, varying from religious beliefs, diet, illness, ethics, and more, so it definitely wasn't a nice surprise they made a vegetarian dish with chunks and bits of beef in it. They offered to make us new green beans but we passed. I was super grossed out and we were finished eating at that point anyways. Accidents happen of course, but when it comes to food, this wasn't just a little cross contamination...it became a vegetarian diet violation in a dish you would never expect meat to be in. Sweet staff though! And usually good food! We will be returning. But I just wanted to voice this because it didn't feel resolved.

The chicken liver pate came with four slices of toast, some pickled vegetables and ground mustard. The pate was creamy, rich, slightly on the sweeter side, so it paired perfectly with the tang from the ground mustard & pickled vegetables. The woodfire grilled octopus was cooked perfectly. Seriously the best, freshest octopus I've ever had! It wasn't chewy or fishy at all. The texture was absolutely perfect. It was very easy to cut into and juicy. We usually just do Taco Tuesday at the bar, but our son came down from Oregon and said, "I need…read moresome good mexican food." I said, well, it's just the Alamo, and it's late, let's go. We sat down for the first time in a long time if you choose in their dining room. We were asolutely amazed, we ordered three, 3 combo plates that included hard shell chicken tacos, chicken enchiladas, chili relleno with rice and refied beans. All of them very very good. The service was excellent, the price was incredibly inexpensive ($18.00 per combo plate) with each one including a hot churro. Our son really enjoyed his chicken enchiladas, and we're going to be back, they even have coupons monday through thursday 50% off a second combo plate ordered!
