Very good doner kebab. I tried doner sandwich and meat and bread were amazing. Service was good. Price is little high for a doner sandwich but I think because bread and meat they use are high quality. Restroom was clean. Plenty of parking. There are inside and outside seating.

Yummy flatbread sandwich. Bread is thick and meat is well seasoned. Could use some jalapeños or pepperoncinis tho-maybe I'll bring my own next time. Nice casual option. Ample parking. Sandwiches do take a while to make so order ahead.

I am so sad I have been craving Twisted Meats because it was so delicious last time and I drove here from Oxnard and I couldn't be more disappointed. The beef and lamb meat was not on the rotisserie and that should have been the first clue. The meat was so dry and not fresh. The portion was much smaller than the last time I was here and I understand times are tough for restaurants but if you're gonna charge the prices then it's disappointing. It was $32 for the doner box with fries and a side of hummus and pita. The hummus was dry and not smooth and creamy like the last time and the pita was so hot by the time they cooled off they were too hard to eat. They charge .49 to have the fries on the side and I wish they would have at least mentioned that. The gal who was working was sweeping the floor which I appreciate a clean restaurant but she didn't wash her hands before working the register and serving me my meal. We love to try to eat at locally owned restaurants but Oh well I guess my craving for Twisted Meats is no longer.

The food was delish & offered great value for the price. The chicken was my fav , but I also tried the half & half option, which was awesome. It allowed me to experience the flavors of both beef and lamb doner. The team was friendly and helpful. Lars assisted us with any questions we had about the menu, and Eldor was kind too He even brought us a special doner bread to try, which was crispy, warm, and paired perfectly with hummus I recommend this place & will definitely be returning next time we visit Thousand Oaks. This place is great! It is the closest thing to the doner wraps we had in Germany. I love the fact there is a restaurant where my meat loving friends can order two different types of meat and I can order my vegan meal. The rice is so flavorful and the veggies are very fresh. The portions are large. The staff is friendly, attention and informative. They have both high tables and booths. It is cozy inside but they also have a great outside patio. We will definitely be frequenting this spot!

I stopped by after doing a quick search in the area for a top lunch spot. They were right off the 101 freeway going north, inside a plaza. There was a good size parking lot, but at lunch time it filled up. Inside is nice and clean, very modern cafe/bistro vibes. You order at the counter and the lady brought me my food when it was ready. There is inside seating but not a lot and there is no real place to wait for a to-go order inside. The menu is large and clear and plenty of offerings but it's not overwhelming. The cashier was super friendly and very helpful. It took about 8-12 minutes to get my food. Donor Sanwhich w/ Lamb and Beef - 4 Star - the bread was unique, almostlike a small loaf that was hallowed out so you just have a crisp shell. It was a great vehicle for the mounds of meat and veggie. I opted for no tomatoes and went with the spicy sauce. I definitely would get at least 1 more sauce to balance the meat out. Fries - 5 Star - I addded the fries and drink to make it combo. The size was kind of on the small side for a $7 bump but they were really good. Slightly battered and preseasoned with a great crunch. The garlic sauce is like a garlicky ranch and was also really good on the sandwich. My total was $29 and I definitely could have split with my wife, but it was my birthday so powered through and ate it all.

Having grown up eating Döner, it's tough to find a place in the US that meets that flavor profile. Twisted meats absolutely nails it. Get the lamb and beef with all of the veggies for the most authentic taste. Sauces are unique, the tzatziki is the closest we found to our hometown locale. The bread is perfection, and the fries are cooked well. The restaurant is efficient, clean, and the food outstanding. Go!

Well we came back, again! I really cannot stress enough how good the Doner is. The bread is wonderful and fresh, made daily with imported German flour. The shaved lamb on the sandwich is to die for. Load up the veggies and use original sauce. Look at the photo, that's "1" sandwich. Huge, my wife and I split. Also fresh kegs of imported German beer. Come on! What else could you ask for. Get here, yesterday!

One of the mediterranean places, I've tried here in Thousand Oaks. The meat was very tasty and tender. The flavors were omg. The service was very good and attentive. The restaurant exuded an inviting cleanliness that immediately put me at ease, while the tantalizing aroma wafting through the air ignited my senses and heightened my anticipation. Used to be so good. We brought everyone here. Reminiscent of college food, but better. We are here once a week. We are German speakers and appreciated the food. The bread was amazing! Then we came back. Took 40 minutes to get cold, food. Rice was so hard that it looked like raw yellow lentils. Leftover meat and questionable freshness. When we told the server with red hair, she said it was hot and challenged us by saying it was. Nope. It was cold. Secondly none of the meat was cut from the Doner. Really? 100 bucks for 4 dishes and a beer. Nope. Up charges for every thing. Speaking of beer, it was 1/2" from the top. Seriously? Oh. Don't cut the Döner when it's still raw (see pictures). It's gross. And the pan on top of the machine is all the chopped up meat from the spindle of gristle that you cut. Go anywhere else. This was disappointing. And Ruben, sorry. As much as we appreciated the free Kolsch... and platitudes that this was fresh food you make everyday, this was terrible.

Absolutely love this place. First things first, the food is top tier. The ingredients they use are fresh, and they really put a lot of effort towards making sure they're serving a high quality product. One of the few places in the area that is serving halal food & goodness gracious do they do it right. Their service is always impeccable & they really go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy. It's a fun laid back & relaxed vibe. Cool place to hang out, eat great food & drink good beer as well! 10/10 experience, and it's now one of my go to spots. Love that they carry delicious beer on draft as well. Quick service, friendly owner too. We both ordered falafel as our "meat" and it was delicious. We both ordered a different bread. Wrap and the pita. Delicious and we recommend both. Tried it for takeout. Online ordering was fairly easy with plenty of mod options. It was a decent portion for the wrap but the falafel wasn't as crisp or fresh as I would've expected. Will give it another try in the future perhaps with a meat option. read more

This is my second time here sine they opened last month and both times we delicious. The meat is juicy, the vegetables are fresh, and the service is incredible. Both of the owners are so genuine and helpful. I got the doner sandwich with the spicy sauce with a side of French fries and can't wait to eat it again. Happy customer because service was pleasant and food was delicious. Try the lamb and beef with fries. Fries are fresh and crispy. Meats are tender. Even got to sample some sauces with chips. Chef's special is a chipotle sauce which was rather tasty. The only comment I would give is to present the falafels in a more pleasant appearance like evenly devise the pieces by cutting it. Still crispy and pairs well with a salad. Speed of food will improve with time. Right now they just started. Love how they open til midnight. Hope that pays out well. read more

An honest review. The ambience is great, the music is cool the place is new and clean. Not much seating inside but thats ok there's seating outside. The service was good. The staff is very helpful. The food, I'm still not sure about. I got a wrap. The meat was cold and the flat bread couldn't hold everything together. It fell apart completely. I had to try my hardest to keep it together but I just ate it with a fork instead because it fell apart. Maybe making the bread a little thicker might help? Also maybe if they cut it that would've helped? I'm not sure. The flavors were good otherwise. The zucchini fries were way too salty, inedible. Might give them another try and maybe get a box next time. read more

Our second meal at Twisted Meats tonight and oh my goodness--it is SO good. My family had been thinking about our first meal there since we first visited last month and it was just as delish tonight. The doner sandwiches are outstanding with some of the best bread in town. All of the meats are succulent and well-seasoned and the sauces we have tried (the traditional, the chef, and the spicy are all great. We've had the salad and the rice box too and they were also both fabulous. Give this place a try! It's epic! read more

I'd give a 4.5. The name was misleading, so never went until tonight, when I found out they had chicken, hummus and falafel, too. Food was GREAT. Had a chicken sandwich. Great bread and VERY filling, loved the cut-up cucumbers. Sauces were great. Tried the zucchini. Very good. BUT...the COMBO is 50 cents LESS than a sandwich and "fries"....I did not want the drink...but did not pay attention to that, even without a drink... that it was still less?? When she asked if I wanted a combo, would have been nice to know...skip the drink...still save. Also, they charge 3% to use a credit card. Don't like that. Customer service was AWESOME. They kept asking if all was ok...and even tossed in free baklava for our first visit. It was GREAT and not too sweet. Usually, baklava is OVERLY sweet..so it very pleasant. The water is filtered and tasted great!!! Was pretty busy. Not many seats inside, so we sat outside, which was very nice. read more

This business is destined to fail because of unprofessional owners. The worst part is that they will play music at such a loud volume that you could literally be caused hearing loss during your visit. If I ever returned, I would ask them to turn it down. The guy who took my order couldnt even hear me because he was blasting some bad techno music so much. When i got to the store, a worker walked past me without saying hi, and didnt open the door for me. He didnt take my order and the other worker didnt notice me because the music was on too loud. I had to make a loud noise to get his attention so that I could be served. The food is overpriced. It was about $25 for a wrap with feta and fries on the side. The fries were very good. The wrap was pretty good. It is nice that they are open late. but the unbelievably loud music is something that the owner should reconsider. turn the music DOWN! focus on your customers. I will not return because the customer service is average quality. take the feed back on board. you don't need to defend yourself. if you want to be successful, you will figure out how to use the feedback. i would happily pay $25 for a quality meal which this is not. i would not drink their water either. i do not drink alcohol. for anyone wondering whether this place is for you... just look at the response from their owner; immature and unprofessional. took themselves from 3 stars down to 1. interesting to see the owners blatant lie about checking the cameras (as if they can match my review to my face on camera). its like a child running a business. read more

The food was really good! The portions where generous and big, me and my wife had the Döner Sandwich with beef and lamb. I was surprised to find a meal under 40$ in this area with this good quality. The Owner brought us a free zucchini fries just because he thought waiting for 10 min on the food wasn't fast enough :-). The place was packed, but I have to assume we got really lucky because we got seated right away at an open table near the front. Our server greeted us immediately and brought us waters for the table. We were overwhelmed initially by the menu options because everything sounded incredible. We asked our waitress what she recommended, and she said literally everything on the menu is amazing - nothing is bad and every dish is popular. So I was quite impressed to hear that. My friend and I decided to get the steak tartare, woodfire grilled octopus, fried gnocchi, and chicken liver pate. Every single dish was actually incredible. The chicken liver pate came with four slices of toast, some pickled vegetables and ground mustard. The pate was creamy, rich, slightly on the sweeter side, so it paired perfectly with the tang from the ground mustard & pickled vegetables. The woodfire grilled octopus was cooked perfectly. Seriously the best, freshest octopus I've ever had! It wasn't chewy or fishy at all. The texture was absolutely perfect. It was very easy to cut into and juicy. It was paired perfectly with the aïoli as well. The steak tartare was extremely fresh. One of the things that I hate about steak tartare at restaurants sometimes is it will start to look brown from the meat oxidizing so it doesn't always look as appetizing, but this tartare was still had that vibrant red color as if they had just cut the meat.
