I always hesitate a bit to give out 5 stars since to me that's saying there was absolutely nothing to improve and service AND product was OUTSTANDING. But my sampling is 1 visit. So for now, I'll stick to 4 out of 5. Beer: had the house blonde, LOVE when this simple selection is a great choice, and it WAS! Refreshing, tasty and light. Perfect blonde. Appetizer: ordered the Mac n cheese balls--going to order that every time!!! Scrumptious, toasty, and just yum. Meal: hubby ordered the trip tip ole smokey (he downed it in like 5 seconds) and I had the brisket sandwich with a side of Caesar. It was sort of like a phillie cheese steak? Delicious! A little hot--comes with jalapeños so watch out if you can't handle heat. Dessert: we shared the creme brûlée. Guys, if you have mastered this dessert, you've just done it all right. The custard was every so slightly sweet (not bland like so many other places do it) and the top was perfectly flamed. Everything we ordered was on point and that's what will keep me going back to a place, good drinks and amazing food! I'd probably put up with quasi good service for amazing food, but in this case--service also good! Bar back was on it with bringing out beer, waitress was polite and attentive and the busboy was too! So yeah. Go there!! Also TRULY hope they are successful. Been a while since there's been a decent restaurant at this location that stays. I don't know how long this place has been open for but they need to keep it up. This place was great. The happy hour was awesome. We came with two kids (under 6) and the outdoor patio was perfect. The kids loved the flat bread, fries and Mac n cheese bites. We had to order the pretzel! The deviled eggs were uniquely placed on a hashbrown. All the sauces were fun. The food came out promptly. Service was great, people were always making sure we were taken care of. The beer was so refreshing with a hint of citrus - I forgot what it was called. My husband and I were very excited to try this place as I heard some good things (happy hour daily), some not so good. But we really wanted to decide for ourselves. We arrived at about 3 pm on a Saturday, which wasn't crazy busy, but we decided to sit at the bar for convenience. Unfortunately, we sat there for approximately 15 minutes with no acknowledgment by the bartender or any other staff members. The bartender seemed focused on one end of the bar only and made eye contact with us briefly but did not come over. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and In her defense she was the only one tending to the bar, making drinks for the restaurant and waiting tables in that area, but it would have been nice to at least have her say hello and that she would be with us in a moment. We were just about to leave when she came over to take our drink order. I ordered Nachos with short ribs; however, the quality/quantity of food was less than as there was hardly any cheese, a few pieces of shredded short rib which was cold. I was not given any place settings or napkins, and when I asked the server in front of us, she gave me a questionable "ummmmmmm" before finally responding with a "sure." Another couple came in and sat next to us and waited at least 10 minutes with no acknowledgment and then left frustrated. There definitely needs to be better management and a realization that customer service goes a long way during these times. read more

We have had dinner twice and both times the food was very good. The first time the service was horrible including never getting our appetizer, and the manager came by and made it worse. One thing was they could not find a proper glass to put my martini in so I was presented with a very unappealing water glass. Food takes a really long to get to the table even when the restaurant is mostly empty. We waited until recently to try one more time. Basically the staff is not trained properly in any of their duties. The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived and I believe the host was trying to ask if we had a reservation so they could note that but the way it was asked was "well do you have a reservation because if not". OK let's just ignore the attitude and sit down. Seconds later we were presented with the same manager as last time and I believe she meant to ask if we had been help (she just saw us sit down) but was asked in a way that put us on the defensive and I paused and said well we just sat down? I expected her to then say can I take your drink order or do you want to wait? I would have said absolutely! Instead she just left. We waited a long time for anyone to then show up. I could write for a long while about the lack of service quality but I'll just stop here. So the food is great (when you get it) so if you just want food, go for it. But if you want service and atmosphere, which is lacking here, there are many other places nearby that are much better. read more

After a pleasant meal on the patio (roasted brussel sprouts were to die for), our waitress brought me the wrong check. I pointed it out, then she brought the correct check and I handed her my card. After leaving, I realized I had been charged for both the correct and incorrect bill. A few days later I went in and explained the problem to the maitre d, she took my name and cell phone number and assured me the next time the owner Jeff was in he would call me and sort it out. That was in February. Since then I have checked in multiple times, and Jeff is never available and I have never received a call back. I really enjoyed dining at Twisted Oak and would accept the $97.10 refund in the form of a gift card, but it's incredibly frustrating they have no interest in following through on this. read more

Atmosphere is cool, layout is cool, but man, service is slow. Place doesn't seem packed, we got seated instantly. Ordered onion rings to come out first, they came out at the same time as two of our entrees, and were luke warm at best, probably got cooked, then forgot about. The third entree, a salmon salad, took 10 minutes more to come out. Server (Arnie) claimed it takes longer to grill the salmon, upon my wife eating the salad, the salmon was flame kissed, and about raw inside, which is fine, but there is NO way it took longer to cook than the buyer which came out well done (I had order medium). I can tolerate a lot in a restaurant, but I don't like being told a 1/2 truth or worse. Common. Poor service. I'm usually super sympathetic towards the service industry, but I am very disappointed in this. Food was actually very good. My wife loved the salad, the Saigon sliders were good, and the burger/caesar salad were good as well. Order some ranch for the side, never got it. Topped off our water once, and from what it seems, as our server helps other tables around us, he just walks away from our corner booth. After driving 6 hours and stopping for a well needed break from the grind, I didn't expect this from a restaurant with such high reviews. Maybe an off night, maybe not. Beware of Thai Chicken Flatbread. They say it's with Peanut Sauce but it's CLEARLY PEANUT BUTTER. That's a big difference. I would not have ordered if I had know they think peanut sauce is peanut butter. I'm very disappointed as I've wanted to try this place for a long time... I will definitely never be returning. This is a really a special new place to dine !! The food ...the service ...today on my second visit I had a reservation for the outside patio. The hostesses Chloe and Amanda were cheery and polite! Customer service matters most to me. Our server was so genuine and took care of us well. Great beer on tap, appetizers were delicious. We ordered the macaroni balls and hot wings. I've made two visits to this venue. The place has interesting decor, an open and spacious feel with a relaxed atmosphere. Both times the food was delicious and the libations and table service were good. We enjoyed the chicken and waffle bites, the pork belly bites, The loaded Nachos with carnitas and the Asian style sliders. All of them were super tasty with big portions. The one area of opportunity is greeting of patrons at the door. On both occasions, it took a few moments for us to get attention and be seated. During our meals, I was facing the entrance and observed at least two separate people walk in and walk back out after not being acknowledge in a timely fashion. Customer service is severely lacking at this restaurant. I placed an online order for the first time with an estimated wait time of 25 minutes at most. After waiting almost an hour, I called the restaurant to check on my order and was put on hold for several minutes then passed around different people and having to repeat myself on why I was calling. I finally was told my order was ready and made my way. When I arrived, I talked to the hostess who went to the kitchen to check my order. After at least 5 minutes of waiting, I was told it was getting packed up and someone would bring it to me. After another 5 minutes, someone else asked if I had a takeout order then she proceeded to tell me to drive around to the back of the restaurant to pick my order. Pickup instructions should be posted on the website and ALL employees be providing this pertinent information for takeout orders. Trying to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, perhaps the food would be out of this world to make up for poor customer service, but they further disappointed. We received the wrong burger and everything else we ordered was nothing to rave about. Never going back there! read more

We've been here twice and both times, the wait staff was severely slow, unmotivated and apathetic. Once we were seated, we were ignored for about 20 minutes. Then we gave the waitress our drink order - nothing fancy, a cold beer, and a glass of wine. Then we waited some more. Another 10, then 20 minutes pass. Then finally we see our drinks sitting on the bar, so we decided to go get them ourselves. We also saw the bartender on his smartphone, some of the staff walking around leisurely and other staff hanging out in the alcove by the bar. Clean and staff has always been friendly and attentive. They have craft, local beer options for the brew heads. If your a kombucha drinker like me the have a local mimosa kombucha that pairs great with your meal. Have had the pleasure of enjoying this place 4x so far and will definitely be back for more. Our Twisted experience was great! First we shared the Mac n cheese balls and they were amazing. Perfect crunch with deliciously spicy marinara. I order the Twisted Oak burger and it was delicious.
