A friend with whom we'd just wrapped a seven day cruise with, found this spot from a good friend of his named Claude. It was totally walkable from Port of New Orleans, so off we went. The stories about the line are true: it was mid morning on a Sunday, and there was definitely a line, but we put in for a table for three and were seated within 20 minutes. First up was a bloody mary, the canonical brunch beverage, and it was a winner. Dressed with some nice veggies in handled jar, it was delicious and refreshing. As for the food, I was torn between a couple of the benedicts, so I ended up combining and getting crab cake and andouille sausage, both on the same croissant. It was delicious if a bit much; I ended up taking half to go. The crab cake was substantial in size, with a good crab to cake ratio, and the sauce which was touted to be excellent, certainly was. This was a very tasty breakfast. The decor was very cute and bright, and our server had a great smile and proper NOLA accent, tending to all of our needs with aplomb. Great breakfast spot in walking distance from all the downtown NOLA hotels. Theres a longline that forms each morning but theyre usually good at cycling patrons in and out, so the wait is bearable. The service and food was great. My partner and i had the grits bowl, pancakes and french toast. (All delicious). Walking in, I really enjoyed the eclectic funky ambiance with lots of plants. We sat comfortably at a booth and were greeted with menus right away. Overall the service was great and friendly! The food was very good as well. We shared a crab cake benedict with cheesy grits. The grits were amaaaazing - don't need to add a single thing to it! This is a solid breakfast spot that does their own Cajun twist on breakfast classics! Starting with the atmosphere, it is cozy and eclectic. Many plants, fun lighting, and art. Great service they said 20 minute wait but they called us in about 14 minutes Sunday at 1pm. I order potato bowl scrambled with add of andouille extra charge for meat addon. My wife got build your own omelet. We also got Bloody Marys they were very flavorful with pickle okra and green beans. Potato bowl was delicious and eggs were cooked perfect a little creamy. The Gruyère cheese was at the bottom which was weird I have not seen cheese at the bottom of a dish, the food was flavorful and we will be back. Depending on your preference the roasted potatoes are larger than I prefer or than I have seen on many menus, they were good, but it made me full which allowed for taking leftovers home for breakfast tomorrow. We waited about 30 min to get seated, and had to wait quite awhile for the food to come out - hence the one star deduction. My coffee cup was never less than half full and for a busy morning, that was pretty impressive. Now the food - my freaking goodness! It was SO good. Maybe one of the best pancakes I have ever had! The smoothie with beets in it is good. The lemonade with the cucumber in it was good. You can get refills on the lemonade but not on sodas. The sodas are canned. I ordered the grits bowl and I had mine loaded. I had the grits bowl with sausage and seafood (crab and shrimp) and it was good. They need to have it on the menu loaded grits bowl. Our last breakfast in NOLA this trip. We decided to check out this cozy little spot close to our hotel. Decent reviews. We both ordered iced coffee and the first thing we got was cold brew. It's common, but man the taste is so different. I hate to be that person...but coffee over ice hits so different than cold brew. When we left I asked for another one but coffee over ice this time and it was soooo much better! Their coffee is great cold brew eh. We both ordered the Café breakfast. We went for a late breakfast/early brunch on Friday and were seated immediately. We had a tough time choosing what to order since everything on the menu looked so good! I ended up settling for a veggie Benedict with fresh fruit. The eggs were poached well and the veggies were fresh, but it was a pretty straightforward dish that felt like something achievable at home. My friend had ordered the shrimp and grits and after trying a bite of that, I wish I had gotten that instead. We enjoyed some of their fresh infused teas as well, which comes with unlimited refills. There was a line as you can see but after learning we needed to put our name on the list it wasn't bad. Only about a 20min wait after standing in the unnecessary line for 10. I must say this little eclectic place was friendly great food and staff. Looked like all women worked there, all sweet as pie but I never found out who the original Two Chicks were . I had a build your own omelette sausage, peppers, mushrooms and spinach that was huge and really good. The thickness of that omelet was everything with the add ins not being skimped on. The grits were good and creamy but I couldn't figure out what they used to get that texture. I had to try the pancakes but knew a regular order would've been too much but I was able to switch the toast for one pancake. It was good but not super special. My friend had the French toast against her feeling against the corn flakes they roll it in. She loves French toast and and was happily surprised withe the taste. The cereal gives it a bit of a crunch and it's cinnamon flavor made for a French toast that was pretty good. I did try it and agreed. A good meal and experience was had for sure. read more

I don't know what other people tried here, but everything about our experience was painfully mediocre. I was really excited when I saw their review average of 4.7 and chose it over Ruby Slipper. Big mistake! Maybe we should've asked for recommendations instead of going with our gut. My breakfast po'boy was pretty boring, though the sausage had potential. Our drinks were almost untenable. One being WAY too sweet, the other being the exact opposite. We eventually combined them to make do. If you come during prime time, you'll see a slew of people standing outside and waiting for a table. Our first visit was dine in and after that we did to go orders. During dine in, service was great. The staff was friendly and our food came out fast and delicious. My grits were creamy and tasty. My egg omelette was fluffy and stuffed! They kept our coffee refills flowing and checked in to make sure that we were doing okay and everything was enjoyable. We decided to give it a try the following day. This is a first come first served restaurant. We pick a rainy day which has less customers. But it also fill up later. I got the crab cake Benedict. When we said we were happy to wait, she was dismissive and unfriendly. We then asked to use the restroom while waiting, and she rudely said it was for customers only.
