We had a party of 6 and had a little bit of a wait but not bad. We took advantage of Side Chicks and had a beverage while waiting. We got a table outside, was a little chilly in the shade but it was fine. We agreed to inside or outside when we out our name in. The kids were cold. We all ordered something different. I enjoyed my country Benedict. The egg was perfectly poached, gravy was tasty and so was the chorizo patty. Biscuits are always good. Hubby had the regular Benedict with added avocado. Yummy and good hollandaise sauce. He also had a jalapeño cheddar biscuit that was fantastic!! Son in law had the breakfast burrito, daughter really liked the poutine! Kids enjoyed the cheeseburger and pancakes grandson was looking for pickles on his burger. It was basically a grilled cheese with a burger patty. Heidi was our server and was friendly and made some great suggestions.

There was a short wait but they had a great system to text you when a table was ready. We ordered the 1/2 biscuit and sausage gravy and the eggs Benedict with 2 side orders of crispy bacon. The Benedict was cooked perfectly and the Parmesan hash browns were delicious. The biscuit is not a traditional biscuit from the south but was ok. The sausage gravy was bland with no flavor. We asked for crispy bacon and it was chewy. It also took 30 minutes to get our food which was quite a bit of time. We ended up with two Bloody Marys and they were delicious!

If you're looking for Excellent fresh and creative breakfast this place will not disappoint. The food is great and the people who work there are even better. Always Happy and laughing. They work as a great team.

Do you find that places can be open for Brunch hours but seem to only specialize on breakfast OR lunch? We do, so we go to 2 Chicks where they have excellent coffee and innovative breakfast meal choices that equal the great iced tea combined with Melts, Burgers, unique sandwiches and salads for a comfortable lunch. Don't miss the local vendors offerings that this place partners with to keep it fresh and support other small businesses. Croque Madame, The Wiseguy, Bumble Brie, Caprese-Bene, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, and Chile Relleno Omelet are just a few of our go to favorites. Kids can secretly eat healthy as well because 2 Chicks didn't leave them out of healthy choices. Ambiance = 4/5 concrete floors with charming decorations Facility = 4/5 if you have to park & end up in the waiting area Food 5/5 see above selections Service = 5/5 The entire staff is willing to check on you or bring your food as soon as it is table ready Value = 5/5 We are willing to pay the price when the food quality is super high and ingredients are locally sourced

The best breakfast place in the Reno area that we have been to during this trip. Everything here is a flavor bomb!!This place is hidden in a newer part of the downtown area. Christina H was our server and she was very helpful with providing us with recommendations for the indecisive diners in us. I ordered a 1/2 almond French toast combo with blueberry compote. The sausage patty was nicely seasoned. Most places don't season their breakfast dishes enough, especially the egg and sausage. But this place takes the extra effort to give everything a little extra to perfect the taste. The hubs ordered pork chops and eggs with Parmesan hashbrowns. Two chicks is nicely decorated and serves great food. Of the many egg and breakfast places that opened up nearby, this one was more impressive. I appreciate the efforts they put into making new flavors and fresh ingredients.

Just went here with a friend who was visiting me from Dayton. The place is much bigger than it looks from the street. I was so happy that there was no wait for lunch. I like the menu because it has a variety and items that you don't find at other restaurants. Lots of people were there but we found a nice spot to visit. She got an Farm house omelet and the only thing she did not like was it had the white Mexican cheese instead of cheeses that melt like cheddar. I also thought the bread slice was small. I got the poppy seed french toast with eggs and bacon. The french toast is an acquired taste but I love that it had blueberries on top. It came with plain butter and syrup. My friend had the mango butter and that was great, so I will have to ask for that next time. The service was good. It is busy for a reason, try it out.

I'm surprised that I haven't reviewed this place sooner. It's a must stop every time I'm in Reno! They always treat me well. Coffee tastes great. Their chilaquiles are actually pretty good, but if you like them extra saucy like me, ask for a side of the sauce. Their omelettes are great too. You may have to wait for a seat but it's worth the wait.

Parking could be tricky dependent on the time you come. The small business owners story is great, support what you can! Inside was very clean and the wait was not too bad. The staffs were a bit inattentive, we had to get their attention to get our water refilled twice. Chicken fried steak: 2.5/5, super dry and had no flavor. Maybe it's a Nevada thing Chilaquiles: 2/5, was already soggy on arrival and lacked flavor Breakfast burrito: 4.5/5, amazing

I went here for a late breakfast and got the vegan skillet with vegan sausage and eggs! So filling and huge portion. I loved the inside of the restaurant and felt really old school and nostalgic. We sat at the bar and I like how they have an open kitchen as well, it adds to the vibe. The service was great and fast! I highly recommend

Food was delicious and the service was even better. Great coffee and the pancakes were perfect! Just what I needed that morning!

This was my 1st time at Two Chicks and it didn't disappoint. It reminded me a lot of Ruby Slipper for those of you that have been to the south before. The restaurant is an organized eclectic restaurant that is kept clean and serviced by a knowledgeable staff that is friendly. To drink I had the Strawberry Lemonade Mimosa. This was large and delicious! It was light, refreshing, and had real strawberry purée in it. To eat I had the salmon bene and my husband had the chorizo omelette. Overall the salmon bene was good. The eggs were poached absolutely beautifully. The hollandaise was flavorful. The salmon was cooked perfectly but there wasn't much of it. Unfortunately the English Muffins the bene was served on was larger than the rest of the dish and took away from the meal. I was missing what capers or something would add to the dish-I am allergic to onions so I had mine without the pickled onions so I hope those onions would bring what the dish needs in that department. The chorizo omelette had beautifully cooked eggs and full of flavorful ingredients. The hash browns that the dishes came with were crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside with the perfect amount of seasoning to elevate them. I am glad I finally was able to try Two Chicks and can't wait for my next visit.

Went out for Sunday brunch. Definitely a tasty event. We tried several dishes. From the pancake bacon dippers to biscuits and gravy. They took a reservation for a pretty busy time. Really appreciated that. Service was amazing. We didn't wait long for drinks or food. It was a great tome spent with friends. The noise was minimal even with the amount of people there. My go to is usually breakfast. Next time I'll try lunch.

This was my first time at this location and it reminded me how much I love Two Chicks. The food is always good for the soul! They accommodate groups great and the service was on it. I'll let the pictures of our meal speak for itself. YUM!

    How is the parking?

Parking is fine. There is some in the back and along south Virginia street.

Any outdoor seating in either location?

The Midtown location has decent amount of outdoor seating, though you are right next to parking and through traffic.

    Are the mimosas bottomless?

    They are not

Does anyone know whats in the dipping sauce that comes with the garlic fries?? Or how it's made?

It's a garlic aioli! I might be wrong, but I believe an aioli is made similarly to mayonnaise, but with olive oil.

    Do they take reservations?

Nope. You show up and put your name on a list. It can be pretty packed on Sunday, especially if you have >4.

Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

We found parking right away. We noticed the large banner outside touting best burgers. Was craving fish and chips, buttttt decided to go with a burger. Ricardo was our server.. we were greeted as we were stepping through the door. Told to take a seat anywhere. Ricardo recommended "any" burger with a smile. I asked whether I should order onion rings or fries, he said order the Texas Toothpicks.. Combo of beer battered onions and jalapeños. Ok let's do this. Richard's must have checked in on us 5-7 times during our meal, great service! Actually we had an entire conversation about his service, friendly, efficient, quick, chatty, and gets the order right! Order Bloody Mary served with banana pepper, green olive and lime.. no salted rim, which is fine, missing salty component for me BECAUSE I LIKE SALT... Drink was GOOD. Bloody Mary and Corona brought icy cold within two minutes. Jalapeno burger and fries son loved his burger! Son felt his burger had appropriate amount of salt and great char crusting. Garlic butter burger and Texas Toothpicks which is beer battered onions and jalapeños. In my opinion this burger starts with the bread.. Delicious soft bun that actually fits the patty. The patty had a nice sear on it, it was under seasoned and almost well done. The burger was lacking salt component to complement the garlic. Had the burger been seasoned, and had I have ordered it medium rare, (my mistake) it would have been really good. The burger did come without condiments which I appreciate because I can put my own in appropriate amounts to my liking. I added a pinch of salt, no complaining and we were good to go! I didn't even eat 1/4 of my food! The burgers and portions were HUGE!! The Texas Toothpicks were really good, a good fry was achieved on them. They held up to being dipped in ranch. 1/2 order hot wings and fries The wings were ordered breaded and hot. They had a good crisp, and were fried appropriately! Good amount of salt. The fries were served super crispy, piping hot and perfectly salted. The order came with carrots and celery without having to ask. Ranch.. Ranch is a serious condiment in our household with food like this. It was good. An appropriate amount was served with wings, and of course for us fries and ranch go hand in hand. The restaurant was clean, all staff was friendly and great service!!!

There were several places listed close by via Google, but I saw that Pine State was a 4 min walk from the museum. I'm so glad I chose to come here. Who knew Reno would have some amazing southern food?! It's a small spot with limited outdoor seating and minimal indoor seating with approximately 5-6 four tops, about the same amount of deuces, and 2 booths in the back for larger parties. You place your order at the register and they assign you a table. They do bring your food to the table, but you are expected to bus your own table. Their menu selection is huge from all their biscuit sandwiches they offer to special southern dishes to desserts and pastries. As odd as it sounds you'd think I had ordered a biscuit item, but instead I ordered: - Shrimp & Grits - Blueberry Cornmeal Pancake - Peach Cobbler Pop-Tart - Arnold Palmer Every single item I ordered was DELICIOUS!! The shrimp & grits were so tasty with a mushroom bacon gravy. I've had some of the best shrimp & grits in Atlanta, and this one comes close. Their cornmeal pancake was also delicious. My 1 1/2 yr old son pretty much ate the entire thing himself (I only had a few bites to try it) and it was probably 7.5-8" wide. It's served with butter and maple syrup. But their syrup is so thick like they reduced it down which gave it this delicious subtle molasses flavor. Ugh! My mouth is watering typing this. Last, but not least, the peach cobbler pop tart topped with an oat streusel and what looked like, marshmallow fluff. The pastry itself was so good. Flaky and buttery - you could tell their pastries are made from scratch in-house. The pastry had the proper amount of filling with lots of cinnamon peach flavor. I was so full that I only ate a third of it and brought the rest home. I regret not getting a biscuit to-go just to try. If their non-biscuit items were so delicious, I can only imagine how good their biscuits are. This place is worth the 50 minute drive for me. I would absolutely come again to try more items. You must give it a try.

The Shrimp and Grits my wife had was some of the best we've ever had. It was our first time trying a version that included sautéed mushrooms which I thought was a nice touch. She also got fried green tomatoes, but wasn't a fan of those as the batter overwhelmed the tomatoes. It's a place worth driving to...hang with the locals and have a pint. Be kind to one another

It has a bit of the retro feel to it and was a nice place for lunch with a friend. I ordered the BLTA with a side of fries. I just had water to drink but there were multiple offerings from boozy to soft drinks and other non-alcoholic choices. Our server was attentive and checked on us throughout. The meals took awhile to get to us (I think their kitchen probably covers more than just Hanna's Table) but it was worth the wait. My BLTA was just as I liked it - crisp bacon, large slices of tomato, creamy avocado and lettuce leaves. A perfect classic with a touch of hipster add-on. Would I drive out of my way to eat here? Probably not, but since it is about 2 blocks from home it would be worth a return visit,

I frequent Hanna's Table often, and I was so excited to see the new drink menu that I decided to…read morebranch out and try something different. I absolutely loved the White Linen -- and that's saying a lot because I'm usually not much of a gin drinker. Tonight I also tried the Blueberry Lemon Drop. I tend to like more of a tart citrus flavor, so it wasn't exactly the tartness I expected at first; however, once I ate the blueberry garnish and took another sip, it completely changed the drink for me and tasted much better. I also tried two of their specials -- the Salmon with Alfredo sauce and the Tenderloin sliders. Again, Alfredo normally isn't my thing, but the Salmon was cooked beautifully and the sauce was very enjoyable, especially since they accommodated my request for a lighter amount. Since I couldn't decide between dishes, I ordered the tenderloin sliders to-go as well... and they were delicious too! Our server Miguel was new and did a really good job. You could tell he was just a little nervous, but he was attentive, kind, and handled himself well. Everyone starts somewhere, and I wanted him to know he's doing a great job and will only continue getting better with experience. Another solid visit overall. It was also nice seeing GM Drew working the restaurant floor as usual. You can absolutely see his management style reflected in the atmosphere and service -- the restaurant was busy, yet the team handled everything smoothly. And of course, Chef continues making consistently delicious meals. Definitely looking forward to coming back again soon!

I…read moream very reluctant to order biscuits and gravy when I go out somewhere because people tend to be extremely heavy-handed with the pepper so I personally asked for no pepper to be put on mine and then added pepper myself when it got to the table. The biscuits were super soft and moist. The gravy was a perfect consistency. A good amount of sausage without being overwhelming plus a thickness that sticks to the biscuit perfectly for a good mashing of the flavors. My son had Gambi's scramble. He said the eggs tasted weird but I had to point out that it has cream cheese which he did not notice so that is more of a him thing. Lol. I tried it personally I think it's a good mixing of flavors. The cream cheese texturing makes it a little weird if you are not expecting it. But good flavor. We both loved the potatoes that came with it had a little crisp one the outside and they we're NOT mushy on the inside. Still a slight firmness inside. Overall, very good. Server was amazing AGAIN. (different server than last time so this shows a consistancy of good servers) very happy, helpful, and positive mood. I'll be making another visit here for sure!

You could tell they were backed up for sure but it seemed like they had enough staff to keep up but it was not the best showing I have had at a new restaurant. The overall design of the place was fun and amusing with the pirate theme going on but it just took too long to get drinks, refills, entrees etc to really push for a return right now. The food was good though. Chicken parm tasted good. The beer was cold. I think the extra love for the place comes for the tiramisu. If we come back, it may be for just dessert and just for that! It was incredible.
