Amazing vegan breakfast!! Got the loaded sweet potatoes add vegan egg and the blueberry pancake stack (already vegan, just ask for no butter). Totally hit the spot for a classic diner-style breakfast. Appreciate that you can make reservations and they have plenty of booths. We went on a Saturday and they were busy but we were able to get in a little before our reservation time. Overall prices were reasonable. The hash was great as I ordered it but would have been great without the egg too, vegan add-ons are pricey (I think it was $6 for sausage and $4 for the egg) but understandable given how expensive they are in the grocery store. Service was friendly and helpful but a little rushed- they brought out our check before we had even finished eating which I'm not the biggest fan of, but given their short hours I guess they need to turn over as many tables as they can. Family and I went here on our way home from Reno. Saw alot of good review so thought wth. The wait was like 45 minutes freezing so we waited in the SUV. The food was pretty tasty my kids plates came with 2 big thick straps of bacon. I ordered eggs Benedict which was pretty tasty but not very hot lukewarm to be exact. After awhile I asked for a pancake and side of bacon thinking imma get the same bacon my girls got. 4 slice for $5.99. Pancake was soft ang good the bacon came put really fast on a small plate looking all wilted greasy tried it and swear it was microwaved GROSS!! They have a thing saying Fresh as F you know the rest yea but that bacon though and wasn't the same bacon my kids got for sure like really??? First time at Two Chicks. Arrived at 8 on a Balloon Race Friday and it was nearly full. We were greeted and seated immediately and offered drinks. I ordered Eggs Benedict and my wife got Eggs and Bacon, coffee and a Bloody Mary. Our breakfast took about 12 minutes. The Benedict had very thick ham but the eggs were way over cooked. They were hard boiled with crumbly yolks. Far too sad for that. The eggs and bacon were serviceable. The bacon had good smoke flavor. The Bloody Mary was rather large and she enjoyed it. We thoroughly love Two Chicks! So much that when it came time to pick a place for brunch with my visiting sister-in-love and my guys this morning... it was obvious where to go! I cannot help but order the Salmon Bene with a base of Vegetable Fritters and side of hash browns. You have a choice of different bases and sides. This combination is simply insane on the taste buds! If you love your veggies, especially if you are a fan of broccoli, get the Vegetable Fritters included in one way or another with your meal. You will not be disappointed. My son and I also ordered large orange juices. These are fresh-squeezed with A LOT of pulp. If you like that, great. It was also honestly a bit small for the price, but worthy of a splurge from time-to-time. Just understand that this is full of pulp. Never had orange juice so thick before. We drank them down, but it was sure different. My son loved his Bacon and Eggs served with hash browns and toast. He commented that he doesn't ever remember having so much bacon for one breakfast. Yes, he was a very happy young man... My sis-in-love thoroughly enjoyed her Country-Fried Steak, Sunny-Side Up Eggs, Sweet Potato Home Fries, and Marble Rye Toast. My hubby added chorizo to the Farmhouse Omelet and was definitely pleased. He chose a biscuit in place of toast (I believe it was something like $1 extra). It was totally worth it. The service was spectacular, as usual; the atmosphere and decor were great, too. My sis-in-love and son have never been there before, but were already talking about what they might try next time. By the way, we saw an order of Biscuits and Gravy going to another table and Oh My...! The parking can definitely be an issue there. We were surprised that when we arrived at 10am on a Tuesday that it was SO bad. Definitely a hopping place at Two Chicks and in the other businesses even at this time on a weekday morning. We stopped for breakfast for the first time after hearing such good things! Well Two Chicks did not disappoint. We were seated promptly without a reservation because it was a weekday morning. I understand it is quite busy on the weekend so plan accordingly. They have some great mimosa options and ours were wonderful. I had one with cranberry juice and my husband had his with fresh grapefruit juice. Really good menu that includes breakfast as well as lunch options. We were there for breakfast. I had the 2 egg breakfast with their house made maple sausage. So delicious and the sausage was the highlight. My husband went with the traditional eggs Benedict although they had many fun choices in that category. Our service was good and the decor is bright and cheerful. We landed here for breakfast and were able to get seated right away. We weren't sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised! The Red Chick scramble...scrambled eggs served over white sweet potatoes (those were amazing!) with cream cheese and spinach. It was delicious and filling. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The chicken fried steak was tasty and the biscuits and gravy were better than expected. The pancake dippers were ok. It comes with this weird concoction of peanut butter and syrup. The consistency of that concoction was a little off putting. We'd rather just had a dollop of peanut butter to smear on and then be able to dunk in maple syrup. The sourdough pancakes were really good. I like sourdough but I didn't notice a different flavor, so don't let the sourdough scare you. (Sourdough is a thing in CA where I live now, but not the Midwest where I'm originally from. My mom and sister (Midwest) wanted nothing to do with the sourdough pancakes.). I used to think this restaurant was overpriced and overrated but I recently visited and I can thankfully say that that is not the case anymore. Maybe it's bigger portion sizes, or maybe the world has just inflated prices around it, but I was surprised by how cheap it was and was expecting to pay way more from what I had remembered. We walked into the well decorated busy restaurant for an early morning breakfast and were quickly seated and served. I ordered the Sourdough Pancakes combo and was surprised by how big the serving was. The pancakes weren't like your standard super fluffy pancakes but were super rich and dense in the best way possible- not to mention huge. They're vegan so there's no butter but they had a rich buttery taste about them that was amazing. The chorizo (a welcome option besides sausage or bacon) was a hearty portion and was delicious, and the over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the Croq Madame and I'd love to comment on it but I didn't get a single bite! He seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. The only negative I'd have is that they didn't have a sugar dispenser for the coffees and only had single serve packets, which I could pretend to be upset about the paper wastes but really I'm just lazy and it was tedious to open them all... not that that is anywhere near a big enough con to give this place anything but five stars! read more

I heard so much about this place, so when the typical Saturday debate of where is the "best pancakes" at town, I said let's check this establishment out. We were lucky to find parking with not much of "cursing". Leaving in Sparks we are not used to fight for parking! But the line was so long to get a table. We were freezing outside until a table was available. They did offer coffee to those waiting in line (nice touch). I am not a coffee drinker but I needed something to warm me out. Since I am not a coffee expert I still think the coffee was somewhat over roasted, but it kept me warm. I decided to try to chorizos and eggs breakfast with a side of veggies fritters (trying to keep it healthy), and I asked to substitute the toast for a sourdough pancake for an extra dollar (healthy is nice, but I am also hungry). My partner order the big stack of pancakes (well, this is what we came for...). They served us an appetizer of sweet chips (with cinnamon and sugar), and strawberries compote (goodbye diet). It took forevermore get our food, so we were snacking on the chips (yummy!). Extra paper napkins could have been helpful since I spilled the strawberries everywhere. Our breakfast was finally served and it met the expectations. I feel we played it safe, but next time we will try some of the more exotic dishes. read more

Let's dig in: (1) Steak breakfast with hash browns and eggs - the steak was a tad bit overcooked, but still very tasty, well seasoned, and juicy AF + standard yummy sunny side eggs and hash brown were perfect in completing the meal. (2) Biscuits and gravy with sausage and eggs - homemade and highly recommended - it was so damn good! The biscuit was nice and soft, easy to cut through with a fork but still substantial enough to hold up all of that rich, thick, and tasty gravy! Perfectly cooked sunny side eggs and a side of sausage BC more meat is always a must... (3) Side of veggie fritters - this was a house favorite and was well worth the hype! All the string veggies are compacted and panfried to a beautiful crispy fritter. Def. unique and very tasty!!! (4) Mimosa is a brunch necessity and this one was so good and refreshing, their house squeezed OJ was perfectly cold and even had light pulp + champagne = the perfect morning wake me up! We decided to try this place based on the yelp reviews. We arrived about 11am on a Sunday and the place was hopping. We were told it would be a 25 minute wait for a table for 2. We decided to stick around because it looked interesting. My wife loves the decor and the locacation is in mid-town which is experiencing a revitalization. As we waited the wait time got up to 40 minutes. They eventually called our name and we were seated. We perused the menu which kind of has a hip and urban feel to it, traditional with a twist. I am not much of a hipster when it comes to food and therefore I would have had to ask for quite a few modifications so I decided to keep it simple and ordered the biscuits and gravy. My wife ventured out a bit and got pancakes stuffed with bacon and ordered them "king style" which adds bananas and peanut butter syrup. The table next to us was seated after us and received their meals. A few minutes later the server came to us and said their system had updated and our order was not sent to the kitchen but that she put a rush on it. Our orders were brought out shortly after. The biscuits were homemade, very dense and chewy. The sausage gravy is slightly spicy. When we received the check, she said she was able to discount it a bit. They took off 30% which was nice. My wife really enjoyed her pancakes, she said the peanut butter syrup was yummy!!! Overall I really wanted to like it but it just wasn't for me. Seems to be very popular so the menu offerings must appeal to a lot of people. When we left there was at least a 30 minute wait based on the number of people. read more
