have NEVER NEVER NEVER been treated so rudely. I got to this bakery around 745 am. At about 750 I waited outside the door so I could see the menu. This was my first time here. One of the two ladies working walked out at about 755 to set up the chair and table outside. She told me that "they don't open for another 5 minutes" Five minutes later she poked her head outside and told me that I could come inside. I went inside and told the lady that it was my first time there and proceeded to ask what kind of lattes they offer. She was in such a rush that she seemed annoyed that I asked. I asked her what kind of flavors they had and if they made their own syrups. She looked confused and said no. I then asked her if the lattes came with 2 shots of espresso and she said she didn't know. I explained to her that I was a coffee person and just wondered if the 12oz had 2 shots as this is typically the norm. Then she said they are not a coffee shop. Another lady who introduced herself as the owner jumped in the conversation and was extremely agitated and said they don't offer coffee like that it's just to compliment the pastries. They both seemed very upset by my curiosity. It was my first time there and I love lattes and it was on their menu so I just wanted to know. I also asked very politely. I kept saying ok I understand that I just wanted to know and didn't mean to get anyone riled up. and the owner kept on going. At this point there were 2 other patrons in the lobby. The owner tells the other lady "to make my coffee strong because I need it." I should have walked out at this point. Honestly. I was mostly in disbelief that they treat polite customers this way. And it was also my first time!!! After the two patrons left, I was alone with them (the employee and owner) and the owner walks around the counter and gets into my face and tells me to "never come back to her business" and then she looked me up and down and said "everything about you irritates me" I couldn't make this up. I was SHOCKED. I told her I absolutely never would. And even after having her subpar croissants and terrible latte- I certainly would not. If you want great coffee and croissants, Village Bread in Calimesa is not far and has a great variety. And they are ALWAYS kind and accommodating. The owner at Two Ladds is erratic and extremely insulting and unprofessional. I left and told her God bless you and she was ranting as the door closed behind me. Oh, and I told her I would leave a review and she said she didn't care. So there you have it! She is also entitled because she feels she doesn't need a good reputation. Everyone knows that in order to run a successful business you have to be professional and have a certain type of love and respect for the people who keep your bills paid. GOD BLESS YOU. read more

Mel's pastries all taste wonderful. She uses quality ingredients and you can tell how much she loves to bake by how delicious everything is. I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll croissant thing and the oatmeal cookies. read more

2nd visit Bought ham panni, POTATO SALAD! choc malt ice cream . Great panni delicious sauce and bread. The ice cream was delicious because it is thrifty's award winning ice cream). Now for the POTATO SALAD! This is hands down the best potato salad I have had in a restaurant in CA. Can't wait for more muffins and trying a scone. Super nice employees and owner. They obviously care about their customers. Both times they helped me to my car with out asking. 1st visit LOVED- the taste of the raspberry orange muffin and moistness of the cake. After reading the reviews we were excited to try this bakery but with it came high expectations. We came by today before noon and we were NOT disappointed!! We got a ham and cheese panini that was sooo goood, you won't want to share! Also ordered the spinach and feta crepe that was so fresh and savory. You won't want to share that either! Took the chocolate hazelnut croissant and apricot pastry to go and those were both equally delicious. The owner/chef is very kind and wants to make sure all her patrons have a wonderful experience. This is hands down the best panini sandwiches I ever ate. My son goes there for lunch from the high school and told me to try it out. I got a panini and the pasta salad combo. The panini bread is so light and crispy leaving way for u to taste ever bit of meat and cheesy goodness. The jalapeños and banana peppers I got on it added the perfect sour and heat to the yummy meat in the sandwich. I felt I was eating something so gourmet. Onto the salad it was amazing. Sundried tomatoes, garlic, fresh parsley and olive oil so perfect. I would have been happy if that was all I got. If u haven't tried this place out go. Run! Dessert was a light as air tiramisu. The coffee soaked lady fingers were just right. I will be back. Update: this place is the best! Tiramisu is out of this world. The paninis were good, but the crepe was sooo much better! I think it has to do with their batter they used. My 2 year old nephew is pretty picky and he ate more than half of it! I'd come back and try their other crepes and get more macarons. read more
