Even though they close at 7pm, I rushed in at 6:45 and they were still able to fix my screen in literally 15 minutes! Not only that, but the screen was perfect! When I took it in, it was really bad...like glass shards splintering my fingers bad. Now, everything works exactly like it did when I first got the phone...it looks like it was never damaged. It's been about a week after the repair and I haven't had a single problem. (Also, only my glass was damaged, I'm not sure if it would be the same experience if your LCD/touchscreen is damaged.) Best of all, for a 6s screen replacement it's only $140, which is by FAR the cheapest you're going to find unless you want to deal with the migraines at the apple store. Other stores tend to charge around $170. If you're looking for a good price and excellent service, definitely stop by! read more

At first, this seemed extremely convenient - the owner fixed my phone in 30 min. However, about a week after the installation, my phone's screen started to malfunction in myriad ways. First, the left quarter portion of my screen wouldn't work occasionally. Then, the whole screen wouldn't respond every once in a while. About a month afterwards, I couldn't answer calls, my front microphone no longer worked, and I was constantly annoyed by my unresponsive screen. old iphone 5s wouldn't keep a charge so figured it was the battery. i was going to head to the apple store but then i read all the reviews about long waits. decided to try this first and glad i did. battery replaced for $45 and the wait was about 40 minutes (the owner was working on another customer's phone when i came in). the owner gave me the old swollen battery and a tip about how to prevent it in the future (buy genuine/MFi certified lightning chargers). my 5s died around the 3 year mark so i needed upgrading anyway but still, a great thing to know to preserve my current iphone's battery over the long haul. no more cheapie chargers from now on! thanks so much! read more

I recently brought my phone to U.Mobile to have the broken glass screen repaired. The owner, Howard, was very welcoming and the phone was repaired at a very reasonable price within a day or two. When I got the phone home, I realized that the speaker wasn't working. I called Howard and he apologized and asked me to bring the phone back so he can fix it. It was fixed within a day, even though a special part needed to be ordered. When Howard called me to let me know the phone was ready, he offered to deliver it to my house in Silver Spring. Since I live nearby, I declined the offer and went to pick the phone up. Howard apologized again and offered to refund some of my money, which I also declined. He did throw in a free screen protector, though. I think this strong and sincere commitment to customer service, especially, when things don't turn out perfect the first time around, is the hall-mark of a great business. This shop is a little hidden on the second floor. I went in because my sunglass lenses popped out and they were really helpful and actually helped me fix them. NOT a cell phone expert but I got my screen fixed at U.Mobile on Tuesday, that night it didn't charge and it died on Wednesday. I brought it back and apparently my phone had been "fully submerged in water" between Tuesday and Wednesday and was unfixable. Really don't recall my phone getting wet but :(: there's $80 I'll never get back, and I have to get a new phone read more

After reading positive reviews for U.Mobile and seeing so many other repair centers with poor reviews And bad customer service I gave it a try. I dropped off my iPhone for a cracked screen and an hour later picked it up. After maybe 30 minutes using it the touch display was really acting up. So I brought it back and without hesitation the owner said he would replace another screen in it as he felt the first one may be defective. I came back a half hour later and it was fixed and the screen worked great. Now, I could have given this 3 or 4 stars due to the inconvenience of coming back a second time in one day, but what the owner did next convinced me that this is a true "customer first" business. He handed me an extra $15 tempered glass screen protector and said "sorry for our inconvenience". Now that's excellent customer service! 5 stars! Way to go U.Mobile.... Why don't more businesses have this approach? read more
