One lady found the Black Sticky Rice soup too sweet. I like my almond soup, although the white fungus could be softer, but the amount of white fungus was ok, so I'm glad it's not just watery soup. Service was very limited. There's no water offered, and the staff only delivered the desserts. You need to grab the key near the cashier to go to the restroom. I walked over to the front to ask for extra spoons for sharing. I like their menu has savory snacks, bento items besides desserts. They have a gelato fridge at the front with about 6-8 choices. It was my first time trying Binka Bites and I really enjoyed them. The texture reminds me of a hybrid between mochi and sponge cake, soft, chewy, and not overly sweet. My favorite flavor out of the box was definitely the Nutella. For leftover, I would recommend to microwave them for a 5-8 seconds before eating so it will be soft and warm. The Spam Musubi had a great spam-to-rice ratio imo (very important lol) with decent amount of sauce. Meanwhile, the Chicken Empanada was fresh, hot, and packed with flavorful shredded chicken. Maison Alyzée is an order-at-the-counter establishment, so we made our purchase with a friendly staff member at the register. Unfortunately, we were told that espresso drinks were no longer available that night since the staff had already begun cleaning the machines. Ok....I never understand businesses that start shutting down things before closing time. This just shows customers that team convenience of closing shop quickly takes precedence over customer experience, essentially omitting availability of items from the menu while they are still open. For this reason, I am docking a star. Luckily, they still had some cold brew available, so I ordered a Lavender Cold Brew with oat milk. Heads-up: Plant-based milks like almond and oat milk incur a $0.75 surcharge. I wish that the lavender was more like a simple syrup, so that the flavour was sweeter and less sharp.
