The pizza was good and had a good rice crust. The freshness of the salad was not. The broccoli had black mold spots and the salad was soggy. They did offer to make me a new one, which I accepted, and it was better but wow, not a good quality product to leave a kitchen. The bathroom was broken and dirty. Pizza is not what it was 8 years ago and double the price. Jojos had no density. The place was filthy. Walking by the bathroom you could smell urine.The toilet seat in the Mens room was falling off. I hate having to write an updated review but things have change. First off the pizza hasn't changed. They still have wonderful food, I tried their BBQ wings and I love them. One of the things that have changed is the services. Its hard to tell who works there because no one wears a uniform. People just come and go from the kitchen/back area. Many time during the lunch rush they are understaffed. I will make simple requests, like a glass of water with my food. And they forget or don't care. There personal appearance is very poor as well. The building is in need of repair. The arcade game room has no light and half of the games don't work. They also have exposed wires in the room. The room with the video lottery has plenty of light and look fine. Priorities I guess. The men's bathroom is hot and usually dirty. They really need to spend some money on a few updated. read more

They have a lot of good pizza-making ingredients, but they seem to lack the engineering intelligence to assemble one that would please even the simplest of palates. Ordered 3 pizzas today paid 118 dollars and drove back home opened the box to find the pizzas were burnt one even had a hole threw the pizza they tried to fill with olives then they had one pizza so mis shaped they had to put it in a second box? And when I called to complain they said they would remake and refund me for the two pizzas but when I got there they only refunded me one and they ran out of big dough so they have us two small pizzas for the one big one! And the pizza that I customized they didn't read the old receipt so it had green bell pepper an my son is allergic so they said they can remake but it will take 30 more mins on top of the 45 mins I already waited for the first remake! This is ridiculous if you say your going to refund us for two then do it don't lie then make sure you remake right thanks for ruining my night read more

We are from out of town and we're visiting my sister while in Dallas. I was in the mood for pizza & beer. UGO didn't have the beer part, but sure did have the pizza part & it was DELISH! We got 4 personal pizzas and 1 small pizza and it took a bit of time but we'll worth the wait. They had such a yummy dough for the crust and just the right amount of sauce and toppings. Took it to go so we could head next door for the beer part at the tap house. 10/10 recommend (even tho the wait is a little bit long) the pizza from here. Super yummy and well made! read more

I went in for a large pizza and wings... I was told 25 mins. I left and went to Walmart, Safeway and one more store. When I got back I waited 10 mins and then I was told they are trying a new pizza crust and it's just taking longer. Used to be a go to staple! I've tried to give them a chance but 3 bade experiences in a row. They given me an estimate twice then I show up and the claim staff didn't show up and the pizza will be out soon but I end up sitting in the lobby for 45 more minutes. They also continuously mess up the order. Service just isn't acceptable for a place that charged $40 for a pizza. I hope they work it out as this has always been a favorite spot but it's no longer worth ordering a pizza here. read more

Well, when I called to order this evening, the person refused to take our order (two large pizzas) because they were closing in 30 minutes and his boss just left. This was the last straw. I love Ugo's and what they do for the local Dallas Community. I have volunteered there as they offered to help fundraise my sons school. But after last night I will not be going back. My family and I came in to Ugo's and it was busy with the wine walk downtown but as I walked in most people were leaving. We needed a big table so I helped wipe them down. We order a medium half pep and half BBQ chicken and potatoes along with a pitcher of mtn dew, water and a salad. We got our salad and pitcher of dew. 15 minutes later the rest of our family showed up (a party of 13 people total) and ordered for themselves. Soon enough they got their pizza. My husband-Mike-thought it was strange they got their pizza first and checked in with the staff about our order. They said they couldn't find our slip for our pizza and asked his name and what he ordered. After a few minutes they said they still couldn't find it and would upgrade it to a large. That would've have been nice but our entire family was already eating and already done. We had two little boys with us and one had school the next day (by this time it was 7:20pm). My husband cancelled our order. As soon as my husband cancelled his order and asked for his money back the manager came out and told us we needed to be quiet because customers were complaining. There was only one other family in the dining area, with a teenager son. We never saw them go up to the counter as they were eating their pizza. The manager was extremely rude "You guys need to be quiet or I'm going to have to take away your alcohol." One pitcher for 4 adults. Really?! And she said this as soon as my husband cancelled the order? Very sad this women is a manager. It is very obvious she has no BASIC customer service skills. Went here for a fundraiser tonight. I was waiting for my pizza and my friend got theirs while I waited. It was covered with olives and pepperoni, it looked sooo good I couldn't wait for mine. But I waited... and waited... and waited. Finally, AN HOUR LATER (no exaggeration, my receipt said 5:20 and I received the pizza at 6:19, yes I was watching the clock). I got my pizza to go and didn't peek at it till I got home. What a disappointment... I ordered the Kings Delight. It's a meat pizza with Canadian bacon, pepperoni, salami, beef, and spicy Italian sausage. With those ingredients (and at that price) I expected a loaded pizza. There were large areas of just cheese with no topping and several pieces that only had two of the toppings on them. I couldn't taste any Italian sausage if it was on there at all. Ugo's is great! It has been in Dallas for over 20 years and still growing strong. Although it seems like it is often empty inside; its business is 90% delivery. You may have to wait alittle longer for your food because they make almost everything from scratch- the dough, pizza sauce, only the freashest 100% California cheese and premium toppings. The crust is thin. Thats their trademark. They do offer a thicker crust for a additional price. The prices at Ugo's are a little bit steep. But thats the price you pay for good pizza. I've been eating there for YEARS! The most popular pizza on the menu is the Black Knight- pepperoni, Olives, Mushrooms and italian sausage. The restaurant has FREE games for kids, which is super nice for when my neices and nephews go with me! People are friendly and willing to help you get exactly what you want! I'd recommed it!!! Best pizza in Dallas! We always get delivery and it takes about half an hour to 40 minutes. It is pretty pricey, but it's so worth it because it's not domino's. The restaurant itself is kinda sketchy, but the pizza is great. The staff are friendly and we'll always get our pizza from here. They were 15 minutes from closing, and a cook decided to come out to tell us, and I quote, "We are closing in 15 minutes so if you could leave now that'd be great." First of all, that was egregiously rude. And second, we are paying customers and in the restaurant business it doesn't matter if someone comes in and places an order a minute before closing. You are open and ACCEPTING customers until closing time, and you do not tell customers to leave even 30 minutes after closing. And definitely not 15 minutes before closing.
