As a lover of sushi I waited wayyy too long to try Omakase but so glad that for my first time I came here. I was counting down the days for this feast!! We opted for the 2 omakase dinner for 56$ a person which is a steal. It also comes with a free bottle of house sake! We arrived half hour early before they even opened but they were kind enough to let us in to stay away from the heat. Watching them set up was amazing. It truly takes a village to create such a beautiful space and give such amazing service. We were sat all the way to the back of the restaurant which I assume goes by which omakase you order. There was a larger table towards the front and I did notice a second floor so I assume it depends on which level of regular or VIP as to where you are seated. But that just makes it all the more intimate. As we were seated they served us the miso marinated salmon appetizer which was not only delicious but beautiful vibrant colors. To not repeat myself each time, all the fish and even the wagyu was just so tender you barely needed to bite. The components of each sushi completed each slice of fish. Whether it was dried rose atop the sea bream or the foie gras on the salmon everything was spectacular. And the nice little palette cleanser of the ginger kept my mouth salivating. The sushi masters craft was just so beautiful to watch. How he delicately assembled the nigiri and using his knife to gently score the fish and still keeping the integrity of it was amazing. All my respect to him for keeping it cool under pressure with all eyes on him. The sake was also sooooo good. That has to be one of the smoothest sake I've ever had. Usually it just tastes like rubbing alcohol to me but this was perfect and really had me buzzed. It also helped that the wonderful waitress was keeping our glasses topped off and did a few shots with us as well! After downing all that sushi, they end it with a nice scoop of matcha ice cream which is the perfect ending. This is truly a one of a kind experience I think everyone needs to try. Sidenote: I have no idea what the names of the fish were so just enjoy the pictures ‍

Now that oyster season is wrapping up, my newest obsession is finding the most amazing Omakase experiences in the city. I swear, I wish I was inclined for cheaper hobbies, but here we all are. I heard about Uka and their incredible $56 omakase experience and signed up immediately. If you make reservations at 5 PM, you get a free bottle of sake. I'm not a huge drinker so I didn't really go there with the expectation to get a lot of sake and I assumed because I was a solo diner that I probably didn't qualify for it anyway. However, as soon as we got seated, Kyle came out with a clay bottle of the house, sake and poured some for me generously. The rest of the experience is a little bit of a tipsy blur, but let's just say the sake was pouring, and the sushi pieces were coming in one after another. We started with the house marinated salmon, which was beautifully briny and on a bed of some nice textural noodles and kelp, which I really enjoyed. The Toro topped with truffle mushrooms was absolutely divine. I'm never too crazy about the firmer cuts of fish, but even those were absolutely outstanding here. Everybody was having a really wonderful time and I deeply enjoyed talking to Kyle and Queena during service. They are such bright and wonderful young adult adults and I feel like in an establishment like this you really need that energy. Give those two a raise immediately!! I also ordered the add-on luxe piece that had Toro, wagyu, foie gras and uni. It came like a little Nori taco and was absolutely divine and totally worth the extra $25. You also get a discount if you pay in cash which I did, so if you are heading here, you should definitely take advantage of that. Thanks again for lighting up my Tuesday evening and I will definitely be back with company next time to this fantastic establishment !!

Amazing place definitely come! Staff is so nice and fish is fresh! 16 courses for $56 and if you do 5pm or 8:45pm reservation you get a free bottle of sake. Really great can't wait to come back. Sean and Jason are the best

honestly such a good deal and every piece was so yummy!! Would highly recommend if you're ever in the area and make a reservation. My favorite pieces were the scallop, amberjack and toro. Would definitely be back again! Friendly service as well.

Uka omakase is a spot that completely blew us away. From the moment we sat down, the hospitality was amazing...our waiter and chef were both so friendly, patient, and took the time to explain every single piece to us. They made the whole experience feel so welcoming and personal. What we also loved is that for an omakase spot in the city, the value is honestly incredible. A fresh 16-course omakase for around $56 is almost unheard of, especially with this level of quality. Every bite tasted incredibly fresh and literally melted in your mouth. You can really tell how much care goes into each course, and the experience felt way more high-end than the price point. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to, we already want to try the VIP 18-course counter experience.

I had the best experience here when I visited NY. We sat at the bar and were immediately served drinks and our first plate. It's low lit and we even made a new friend sitting at the bar! I would recommend 100% for their food quality and service. :)

One of the most memorable omakase experiences I've had. The chef's creativity shined through every course, and the pairings were unique, unexpected, and remarkably well executed. Each bite built on the last, creating a dining experience that felt both exciting and cohesive.

Food (5/5): Solid and fresh Omakase with a 16 course for $56 deal. The price is good but be aware they tack on a 25% automatic gratuity. Most of the cuts were melt in your mouth and amazing. Service (4/5): Good service and it's interesting that most of the chefs were decked out in designer clothes. The automatic 25% is a bit bothersome but the staff were helpful and we had no issues. Ambiance (5/5): Upscale decorated interior. In addition to the staff wearing designer, there were also rolex wall clocks and other overpriced flashy stuff around the restaurant. Interesting design choice but made the restaurant stand out.

What a bargain 16 pcs omakase for $56 in Midtown! Started with miso soup and ended with yummy matcha ice cream, so satisfying!!! The service from the two waiters was warm and quite entertaining. Such a great Sunday brunch!

I was visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this omakase restaurant near my hotel, so I decided to give it a try. It ended up being one of my favorite dining experiences of the entire trip. Huge thanks to Jason and Chef Steven for taking such great care of my friend and I. From the ambiance and service to the overall vibe, everything was unforgettable. This will definitely be a must-visit spot every time I'm in New York.

First of all, I must shoutout Jade, Ken 1, and the homie Jason. They are what makes this place so special. Jason gave us some free shots despite us being Warrior fans in Knicks territory. Everything was extraordinary, I still dream about this place. My absolute favorite was the Otoro, I had never had anything like it. Honestly, everything was out of the world, Ken 1 is a master. All the chefs be cooking it up in full designer just so much aura. The ambiance was great as well. It is very dim lighting and you sit around the bar area. It furthermore elevates this experience, i was transported. This was a night I will never forget. Didn't get to grab many pics, it was just that good.

Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Made a Resy Reservation for 5PM reservation for this VIP 18 course, we were seated on their 2nd floor. Lucky us it was private , just the chief and a staff member. This is probably the most reasonable priced Omakase, the fish were fresh, their sashimi selection was excellent loved their seasoned salmon sashimi and the toro pieces the most. Each nigiri was very good fish to rice ratio was perfect. The service was really something else , maybe it was due to being the only guests in the vip counter but we had a lot of fun interacting with the chief and the staff. Overall I would recommend and would definitely come back.

56$ for 16 sushi courses (12 nigiri) was an absolute steal. You are seated at the sushi counter depending on what course you make your reservation for. Service was quick - we missed the names of the pieces, but we left happy. The vanilla ice cream lightly sprinkled with some tiny crunch brought the meal together at the end. The unagi nigiri was one of my personal favorites of the night. For the price, we were very happy - notably if you are looking for top tier sushi, this probably isn't the place for you.

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.
