Wish I would have seen the reviews before placing a pick up order at this store. It's not close to my house at all but said they had an item in stock so I picked this store but once my order was processed the one item I wanted from this store was out of stock. So I had to drive across town to pick up items I could have gotten at the store near my house. Once arriving at the store it took forever to get someone to help get my pick up order while the only cashier kept ingnoring me and continued to ring up others that got in line after me. To then get home and realized they gave me the wrong product. I will never return to this ulta. Agreed terrible customer service. read more

I was nervous coming in here as I don't have much experience with makeup. Misty noticed my confusion and walked me through everything I needed to know. She gave me multiple suggestions for everything I was looking at and was very receptive of my needs. My go to beauty store! I love perfumes and often go in to test. I read somewhere that Ulta tries to let the customer shop in peace, and only offer help when needed. This is true for the most part. I don't feel harassed by the staff. I am not a big returner, but they do accept opened cosmetics for full refunds. That's impressive. Huge selection of cheap to expensive make up. Example, from Maybelline to Lancome make up lines. read more

I've been to this Ulta occasionally for the past 5-6 years but for the past couple of years the service has been terrible. The girls at the register are rude and constantly talk/laugh to each other even if I am the only customer in line. When I was making a return the girl was flinging my cash on the counter and dropping coins around the register to which the employee and another (I'm guessing the manager) laughed at. I love Ulta...no, I REALLY love Ulta. If they had anything above a Platinum member, I would be it. Of all the locations I've been to, this once isn't one of my favorites. It is in the same strip mall as a Trader Joe's. That should be a big plus but in this case, it just makes parking difficult. This Ulta is standard size but everything feels so cramped in there. This could be due to all the Christmas gifts and displays. This store gets a lot of traffic and I had about 6 or 7 people in line before me. That may not sound like a lot but for Ulta, I'm not used to having a wait. Also its difficult to figure out where the line is for checking out. Again that could be attributed to how cramped the store is with Christmas items. They did have some great deals on gift ideas. read more

I came to this location yesterday 30 minutes before they closed. I knew what I wanted. I asked one worker for help, and instead of helping me find it she was trying to sell me on the MAC line. I wasn't looking for that. Then I was in the process of grabbing one last thing when she approached me again asking if I needed help. But not because she really wanted to but because and I quote "okay well we close at 6" ummmm I know. I spent $100 at a place that treats their customers like an inconvenience. Like do the employees melt right at 6 if everyone is not out of the store? I will never come back to this location. I'll just order online from the actual brand. I had the same experience at the Ulta Salon as one of the other commenters. They overcharged me for my hair styling. The stylist simply styled my hair, yet she charged me for a wash, blowout and style. When I complained she told me that she had no choice but to charge for the wash, blowout and style even though she only styled my hair. Do not trust these people. They are dishonest. I now go to the Ulta in Frisco and get the same exact service for $17 cheaper b/c in Frisco they are honest and only charge me for the services rendered. read more

I will start making the trek into the mall to go to Sephora simply because customer service is number one. If you're unsure of a product, they have no problem giving you a free sample to try it. Even Beauty Brands is generous with their free gifts when their earned. I come in here and spend $200 to be told they're out of the gift that I came here to purchase the products for primarily for the free gift. They don't even offer any substitutions anymore. I only use Ulta to buy my shampoo and conditioner. They are always out of the shampoo. Sometimes, even the day after their shipment. Since i needed shampoo, i was talked into buying something else and i was extremely allergic to it. Now, i don't suggest Ulta is to blame for my allergies but I've been trying to use this gift card for returning that purchase for the past three months. Today was my last attempt because I'm willing to give up this gift card so i can stop dealing with this already. I can't even buy it online. I've talked to managers in the past and they claim "it's just popular"...umm, then order more. Today the manager played the blame game and said "I'm sure you want to purchase today just to get 20% off"... actually, manager, i know nothing of 20% off and while that sounds nice I'm more than willing to pay full price if you actually have the product in Stock. Then she blamed the manufacturer for it not being in Stock... If you can avoid Ulta, that would be my recommendation. read more

This review is specifically directed to the Salon. I came in to get a blowout for which I had an appointment. My lady over booked and I had to wait 20 min to even start. The blowout it self was average. Not bad but nothing I would rave about. I asked her to blow some volume in the top and with a brush blow some large curls. Nothing that does not happen in other blow outs I have received at a blowout bar. However when I went to go check out not only did they give me problems for using the Ulta first time coupon (it was valid and listed online) they uncharged me $10 for using "heat tools" on my hair. Excuse my you have to use heat tools aka a blowdryer on hair for a blow out. But evidently since she used a styling brush to blow curls into them it cost $10. That was annoying since I was never told she was adding services which were an up charge. I am curious to see how my blow out will last considering she kept saying that she didn't think it would last through the appointment since she as having trouble with my thin hair. Conclusion: I paid $50 for a subpar hair job that has left me feeling more stressed than relaxed. read more
