Fried rice with beef and plantain
    Kat P.

No eye has seen or ear has heard of these scotch eggs! I originally just wanted fufu, but I'm highly impressed by the boiled egg wrapped in beef and turkey sausage then deep fried with a crispy and crunchy crust (reminds me of panko). The way it was fried and seasoned is a must try! I loved the fresh made dough of the meat pie too. The fufu dish is pact full of flavor and the fufu, made of yams, was soft and pliable while staying intact complements the Egusi soup with beef. The beef was tender, full of spices that do not compare to other cuisines, fun to eat with the fufu, and served in large portions. I tried the jollof rice and it has a Smokey flavor and with spices (none of the food was spicy). I even tried the chicken rice and I loved it. Both rice have good bite to each grain. The service was fast for having one amazing chef who I was honored to meet. He kindly came to check on his customer's dining experience. I definitely will come back and can't wait to try the peppered goat soup. I took the remaining food home and I can't stop thinking of their fufu either. The ambiance is great to invite more people to the table for a fun little fufu party.

Really calm and quiet family-owned restaurant with authentic and delicious food! The service was amazing. The husband and wife are very kind and did a great job checking on us. They did have a long wait today due to being short staffed but did their very best to make sure we were taken care of. Below is a rating the foods I tried: *Meat Pie: 5/5 *Gizdodo: 4/5 *Goat Pepper Soup: 5/5 *Scotch Egg: 3/5

On a random week night I was on that side of town waiting for my friends to come meet me to eat next door. While waiting I decided to check out this place. I so wish I made the plans to eat here instead! When I walked in there was a full Nigerian family from Dallas enjoying dinner after a long day at Seaworld. Not 5 minutes later I became part of the family including the restaurant owners! Since I had plans for dinner I only ordered the Suya to try. Until this day I still regret not trying more things on the menu! I live far so going to this side of town isn't easy. I cannot express about the ambiance at this restaurant! I got a glimpse of how it feels like to be in Nigeria! They came out with empanadas giving them to me for free to try! This is the real definition of hospitality! And yes Nigeria became on my high list of places to travel to! I will definitely be back to this restaurant soon!

We've been searching for a good smoky jollof rice and suya beef we once had, never could find any quite matching. Alas! We came across Ultra Kitchen and their jollof rice and beef suya are on point! Beef we think they make it even better, more tender! My husband and son found this place first and insist that's the first place we needed to go after my months long trip away. They were so right!! The service is excellent. A very family business and so warm and friendly! The place is very clean and nice as well. Overall such an enjoyment. We licked the plates (see our before and after pics!) and definitely will be a usual there from now on! We still need to try their fufu and other dishes! Do plan for extra 15-20 minutes for the cooking though. It takes time, effort and heart to make these wonderful dishes fresh and amazing! And it's totally worth the wait!!

The place looks amazing on the inside, well decorated. It is looking like you are about to have a great feast here but then you wait 1.5 hours to receive your food. And it wasn't even fresh. If you have had stew before, you know it doesn't look like that in the picture. My friends rice was half cooked and the meat tasted like days old. There was 1 guy running the whole place, he was working hard but he can't do everything you know.

went in to try fufu and had the egusi soup with beef and chicken as my protein. also had coconut rice plate with chicken and beef as well. owners/chefs kept coming out and interacting with customers 10 out of 10 delicious!

Jollof rice with plantains. My camera is blurry for some reason. It was beautifully plated!

A new cafe serving up Nigerian food on the Culebra corridor to 1604. The Cafe looks to be set up for events and catering. The woman running the show is super friendly and informative. I tried the jollof rice and plantains along with some suya. I didn't have time but she also has scotch egg and puff puff which I haven't seen in town. This shop happily reminds me of the small Nigerian cafes around Houston.

Great food and loved getting to see scripture on the walls and hear gospel music in the background. The waitress pointed me to vitamalt as a specialty drink and it was just like Goya Malta. Such a lovely as delicious treat to have my favorite soup ever... Groundnut soup, peanut soup,…read morepeanut butter soup, what ever you call it, at Trices, it's called DELICIOUS!!! I called in advance to eat in house, which I find to be common at most African restaurants, as the food takes a bit longer to prepare. I arrived, washed my hands and returned to my food PIPING HOT on the table! Now that's what I call good service! When I tell you the truth, I tell you no lie! Trices can have all my money! The soup was so good I wanted to lick the bowl! Smooth, creamy, nutty, spicy, rich, everything you want in a good groundnut! And the chicken was fried to perfection! The consistency was just right, not too soft, not too hard, didn't taste look like hen, but it might have been. Two glasses of red wine, and my full plate later and I felt as if I needed to nap! Love this place, will def return on my next trip to San Antonio! Also there was a family sitting behind me, I believe they were Nigerian because the husband was saying how Sweet Sweet his food was, and the wife and kids all raved as well! So it wasn't just me, everyone was happy oooo!
