Burgers are the perfect vehicle to go a different direction and Ban Ban is right on course with its offerings. This place was good. A word on the service. It was on point and pretty much what you would expect. BUT We watched them go out of their way when a customer who appeared to be Neurodivergent came in and ordered. They were awesome and that kid had such a smile on his face when his burger arrived. I would give this place 6 stars if yelp would let me. Grapow Smash: Typical smash burger with a perfectly cooked egg. The resulting gooey yolk was glorious and the bun did its best till its structural integrity failed with about 2/3rds yet. The Grapow added quite a bit of heat but the sweet potato fries helped to tamp that down. The only thing that kept this burger out of the top 5 was the pickle. It simply was blown out by the onslaught of richness and the burger needed a briney element to provide balance. We are in nitpicky range here with this. This burger slides into a tie at #8 in my rankings and is the highest ranked fusion burger so far. Sweet Potato Fries: Not on the rotation currently according to reviews (lets face it I am behind in my reviews) but perfectly fried, and helped tamp down some of the heat. Literally everything I ordered had so much flavor, but also their own flavor profiles. I wasn't tasting everything like it was cooked in the same oil. Yes the parking sucks because the influx in that shopping center is bigger than what the parking lot can hold, but I found some on the street over and I would go do that all over again just for the food. We need casual places that serve quality food. Just because I'm not spending the big bucks doesn't mean I don't deserve quality. No complaints on service either. Very attentive. Massive portions.

We went to Tasty Noodle House at around 2 pm and there was only one other customer there. We wanted to dine in. As you walk in there is a nice outdoor patio and a computer where you can order--maybe to go--I am not sure as I like the staff to take my order. We went in and wanted to sit on chairs that had some patting. We were told no, and moved to bench seating with wooden chairs on the other side. Most are like this. Now, again, there was only one customer there so I was not pleased to sit in such uncomfortable bench seating. It really hurt my back and bum. A server came and asked what we wanted, there were menus out and adverts for their special stuff. Well, what I asked for they no longer have. The next thing I asked for they no longer have. I ordered pork bums. They were awful. They had next to no pork and if I didn't know better I would think they were microwaved. They were not eatable. My husband got a meat dish that was to be spicy with broccoli. It was just okay. It was not spicy and was a very small dish. He also had Iced Tea which was watery and left untouched. The service was terrible. The server brought out my husband's dinner alone. We waited and he never appears and we had to get him and ask where is my food. Cooking he said. After at least 5 more minutes my buns came. We wanted to eat together. I told my husband to start or we would be there all day. There were at least 2 servers and not one checked on us at anytime. We finally had to get up and ask for the bill. It was so disappointing. I mean the food and the service was bad and most of the seating feels like a bus bench. We won't be back. Ever.

We had our dog with us so the dog-friendly patio was what drew us to selecting Goodpeople. We found street parking after circling the neighborhood a couple of times. The drink menu immediately cracked me up because the "vanilla bullsh%&#" drink is a respectful nod to one of my favorite scenes from Curb Your Enthusiasm. We split the Los Cali Brekkie burrito which features sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, French fries and a house made Sriracha aioli but we substituted the cilantro aioli. The filling of the burriot was super soft and mush but it worked. There was a guy out back frying up fresh donuts. There was a pet adoption event going on and although it was a hot day the shade sails and fans really kept the patio tolerable and pleasant.
