Usually I prefer making my own salad dressings (Green Goddess & 1000 Island) from scratch. Yeah I am that picky. So I was surprised I liked the Brixton Bowl with the soy miso dressing. I almost asked for extra dressing, it was that good. Made me want to try making my own version. The vegetables being edamame & carrots were tenderly cooked & lightly seasoned with care. The purple cabbage was crunchy & fresh. The white rice underneath hot and soft. Enjoyed the contrast of textures. Good sized portion too. So satisfied with this entree I declined the dessert which is rare! My bf ordered The Burger & cheesecake. He said it was good. I thought they looked beautiful. To top it off our waiter looked like Bad Bunny! What an unexpected treat on a hot summer day.

July 2026, I think there were watch parties here for FIFA games. These games are during work hours. Well, I decided to come here for a Singles Meetup. Where is everyone? The bartender showed me a menu which I could order food that will be delivered from The Brixton. Scan the QR code to order. "Sorry, we aren't accepting orders at the moment..." I guess I could finish my beer, pay my tab and go searching for something good to eat. She didn't know the Wi-Fi password neither because they changed the password. Why broadcast the guest Wi-Fi if you aren't going to make it available? There was no organizer for the meetup event. With only a handful of people here, do I want to wait for the karaoke session? It's time to go eat somewhere else.

Its savory broth is filled with fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked black rice. There are other very good veggie options. When I explained that the manager had just seated me there, he responded disrespectfully, stating, "Table is for five, she's single," and demanded that I get up and move. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability from management and the owner, both of whom were present. Rather than attempting to rectify the issue or address the server's rude behavior, they acted as if nothing had happened and dismissed the situation entirely. Being blamed and mistreated for sitting at a table where your own staff placed me is completely unacceptable. While I have appreciated the convenience and good service from certain staff members in the past, this experience was deeply off-putting. I hope they address this lack of professionalism with the staff and management team.

At the end of the dinner we got the bill with a 2.5% service fee + 20% auto gratuity for "event". I normally tip this much but I found so I don't mind that it was automatically included, but it was odd we paid an auto 20% gratuity for an event we were not a part of - we weren't even seated inside where the private event was taking place. Unfortunately, the three stars comes down to the fact that even though it was our 10th anniversary, there was no acknowledgment of the special day and the food was sub-par.
