I love this place! It's super cute, and my drink was so good! I got the osmanthus longan slush with boba, and I added on the bunny surprise. Elated to see them open up another Ume Tea! This is still actually pretty close to the other Milpitas location, but it helps to distribute the crowd so the wait is not that long at both locations. It does get pretty busy around dinner time, though, so prepare for a wait. However, it is not that much of a bother in comparison to the fluffy mochi topping they offer and high quality tea. read more

I have always liked their drinks, and even have been a regular customer. However on my recent visit I was rather disappointed. I waited 8 minutes to order my drink with a cashier, since I was using a gift card. This would've been fine if there were multiple people in line. However there was no one else ordering with a cashier. Which would've been okay if the staff were simply busy. However there was one staff that was just one their phone. I as,ed for help multiple times but was ignore. And then a lady who didn't wait at all was taken first and I had to wait longer. I would've normally ignored this, but I ordered a sticky rice yogurt out burst drink, I always take time to confirm what I order so I asked the staff multiple times they confirmed it with me. I asked for a receipt but they ignored me, so I was confused at which order was mine. And when my drink came out it was the new guava drink, not the drink I ordered despite me having asked the staff who took my order if it was what I ordered. On top of this I asked the same guy who took my order if it was ready yet and he said he'd give it when it was finished. But lo and behold 6 minutes later it was set aside and melting. I am thoroughly disappointed, I normally always have a good and normal experience. But this visit has made me decide not to come back. read more

I'm usually not a fan of fruity drinks, but the mango pomelo sago was amazing. It had lots of real mango chunks. Get 0% sugar though, all the ingredients already have lots of sugar in them, don't need to add extra sugar. read more

I always see it on social media, but they finally expand to places I can visit. I order it on the touch screen tablet. I went to Great Mall twice with two different groups of friends to try the surprise cup experience. I ordered passion and watermelon fruit tea for the first time. There was too much pulp, which was surprisingly super bitter, even though I ordered 100% sugar. I had a great time with my surprise cup because I got a pink penguin. It is so soft and such a high-quality plush keychain. The second time, I went with something safe: the peach slush without cheese foam and lychee jelly. Solid tea place with fast service. I had the signature boba black milk tea (70% sweet light ice). The boba was soft and chewy. Not mushy or hard to chew through at all. 70% sweet was perfect for me here, and I have a sweet tooth. There was no bitterness in the tea, and it was very creamy. Not what I was expecting for this boba place... I had gotten the watermelon lychee fruit tea and it had taken quite a while for me to receive it.Another complaint is that the lychee was not lychee is was hard and not what I remember lychee tasting like ,I felt like it was just the skin and it was just so disgusting.I had also asked for light ice and extra boba and I had gotten mostly ice and barely any boba when i first saw it i noticed it was just lychee ,before trying it I didn't mind that there was a lot of lychee but when I had taken a sip I was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTED IN THIS BOBA PLACE.At the way they didn't listen to any of the things I had put I wanted like light ice and extra boba absolutely a waste of money. read more

I was having a boba tea craving while walking through The Great Mall when I stumbled upon Ume Tea. I noticed they had a special on the Oolong Brown Sugar Milk Tea--large for just $3.99! I'm usually a plain Jane who sticks to classic milk tea, so I asked the cashier about the difference. They were super patient and took the time to explain, which I really appreciated. I decided to go with the special, ordered it with light ice and 70% cane sweetener, and it was the perfect choice! The flavor was rich and smooth, and the price made it even better. Definitely a great spot to satisfy a boba craving without breaking the bank. I'll be back for sure! read more

I was eager to check out this spot while visiting the Great Mall. They offer a variety of teas and snacks, albeit at slightly higher prices. I opted for the red bean mochi tea with boba, priced at $6.90 for a small cup. Unfortunately, there was only one kiosk open for ordering, resulting in a wait of over 15 minutes due to the long line. Having heard positive reviews about the Cupertino location, I was excited to try it out. However, I left feeling less than impressed with the overall experience. read more

This tea is awful! It's the worst I've ever tasted! I've tried Ume tea elsewhere, and it's been good, with a strong, fragrant taste. But at this store, the boba milk tea is so diluted that I can't taste any hint of the tea's flavor. I definitely won't be buying from here again. read more

The drink has the perfect combination of juicy fresh mango, creamy coconut milk, and tea jelly. Every sip is packed with real mango flavor, and it never tastes artificial or overly sweet. It's so refreshing and easily one of my favorite drinks ever. The staff are also some of the kindest people. They're always so friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about their customers. I honestly wish this place got more attention. They're not in the most visible location, so I feel like a lot of people don't even know they're there. They deserve so much more love because the quality is amazing and the service is always wonderful. If you're a mango lover, do yourself a favor and order the King of Mango. You won't regret it.

One thing I really like about Ume is that they're always coming out with new flavors. I enjoy trying their new menu items, and most of the time, it's a hit. I also picked up a Ume gift card, which is a great deal for a frequent customer like me. Definitely a neighborhood favorite for me, and I'll be back to try more new flavors!

But yesterday, 9/2 around 7 PM, we ordered the same drink again, with the same 30% sweetness level, and both cups tasted very bland. Obviously, the drinks were not the same. I just wanted to bring this to your attention. Hopefully the store can check the preparation to make sure the taste is more consistent from one visit to another.
