I've eaten at Una Mas for many years and discovered their food tastes best if you don't go too often. Since it had been several months, I had a Mucha Carne burrito delivered this evening. It is a chicken burrito with cheese, guacamole, and salsa and includes a small portion of chips and salsa. The burrito was meh. The chicken didn't taste good to me, but I can't exactly say why. I didn't care for the cheese, either. It might just be that I'm having an off night. I do appreciate that it is a big, filling burrito and does not contain beans, which I dislike. My family had access to some money on Grubhub and we figured it'd be good to get some Mexican food for lunch. There is ample parking outside of the restaurant, with a pleasant amount of space inside that gave the restaurant a comfortable feel. The server was also relatively friendly, directing me to the sweet tea dispenser while they were getting my order out for me. We were able to get a lot of food for close to 30 dollars - we got the grilled fajita burrito, which had to be saved for dinner, as well as the fajitas combo. The food tasted good and was filling, which I suppose at the end of the day is what's most important. There's a nice combination of savory flavors in both the burrito and the combo, especially within the burrito, the Spanish Rice, and the salsa. Overall, I'd say the food was worth the price. Una Mas normally isn't the type of restaurant that I normally go to and I'm unsure if I'd go again, but I had a nice experience here. read more

Their crispy taco salad is always so good, and though I don't really care for chicken in my Mexican food, it's not dry here. Always add rice to their taco salad and the shell is not overly greasy like other places. read more

I got the shrimp soup. It was lukewarm , the taste was good, but had a lot of union more than vegetables. The shrimp is super tiny. I recommend the crispy shrimp tacos instead. But everyone is always real nice. I would go for a burrito instead. read more

This is my second time coming here. I grew up knowing about this restaurant chain, but never tried it. I wish I did before. I have to say this is underrated. Nothing is sitting in a steam table. Everything is cooked to order. The flavors are on point. The service is quick we were attended with attention to details within our request for our orders and kindly gave us what we asked. I had the Al Pastor tacos, the Carnitas tacos, the Carne Asada fries, the flautas, the rice taste just like my mother's, which is amazing, and they're spicy salsa is smoky and so delicious, the pico de gallo and the guacamole was so fresh and delicious also. Sorry I don't have pictures of the other stuff, because we devoured it it's that good. If you haven't came here, don't delay come in and try it. I give it high-fives all around. read more

I've seen this place for years and decided to try it. Ordered 2 chicken flautas and also 2 potato flautas, along with a side of refried beans. The flautas were disgusting, I took one bit of each. Maybe it was cooked in old oil because it taste good at all. The beans where whole pinto beans instead of refried. The whole experience was a wasted $20 because into the trash it all went. Not a place I'd ever go again. I also wanted the guac and sour cream on the side, which they literally put on the side. What a joke. read more

I was on my way to Noah Bagels next door and I saw a sign that Una Mas has breakfast burritos! I ordered the Chorizo and egg burrito and it was very good! It was also $10.99 and that was a great price. It was good size and the chorizo was cooked to perfection. I wish there was a little more egg in it, but I understand it's a chorizo forward burrito. Is this the last Una Mas in the world? 25 years ago when I was in the world of tech, una mas was a go-to for nearly everyone I knew. They were always super packed. That fact made the loneliness of this location kinda sad to me. I was there about 30 minutes. An older dude finishing up his meal & a young couple enjoying theirs. And me. That was it. Noon. Lunch time. Don't know if they'll survive. But the food was good. I had the chicken taquitos plate. Parking lot was small but mostly empty. Guess none of the business here are thriving. But go. I impulsively stopped by this location this morning since I was looking for something quick for breakfast and this happened to be right next to the coffee spot I was at. I really wanted to love it but found it to be very average. I ordered the Chorizo Con Huevos breakfast burrito and was underwhelmed with the quality. Nothing spectacular, honestly probably something I could make at home. And for the price of almost $10 a burrito, it just wasn't worth it to me. Giving 3 stars because of the fast and friendly service, and the clean and well maintained interior. Could be a good place to stop if you want something fast and convenient. It's been many many years since I decided to go to Una Mas. I actually remember when Una Mas first came to the Bay Area around the mid-90's. the burritos were ginormous! And chock full of everything. This was a great cheat day meal for me back then, when I was on a perpetual diet. LOL I'd take friends there all the time and they would be amazed. Well, as everything, times have changed things. The burritos have shrunk through the years, their meat offerings have changed, and of course prices go up. I ordered 2 different burritos for the hubs and I, and for $12 I thought, meh, not really worth it. The taste was so-so, not great, I've had better. The guy taking my order though, was super nice and helpful and let me take my time deciding what to order. So that was really nice! read more

Really wasn't expecting much but Una Mas lowkey SLAPS. We got the Tortilla Soup, Taquitos, Carne Asada Taco, and the Foghead Burrito. The burrito was so good, full, and well-balanced. Love the addition of the barbecue sauce and corn salsa. The only thing is that I thought the Taquitos came with four but they unfortunately only came with two. But definitely a hefty portion of guac, which was so much appreciated. The guys at the shop were also really friendly and nice. They really hooked it up with the chips. We come here every week! Everything is amazing but our favorites are the fish tacos, anything with their juicy carnitas, and the tortilla soup (which is better than you can get anywhere else in the valley). We have never had a single bad meal from them and service is fast and friendly. Definitely one of the best taquerias in the area, do not hesitate to order! read more

José and Josue took such good care of us. My family was at a Portuguese parade nearby and wanted to grab some Mexican foo before heading home. My husband had the 3 taco plate: he said it was so much food. I had the Thai burrito with steak and my son had it with chicken. So yummy. We could have shared one because we took half of each home. Prior to the pandemic, I was working with a company that provided lunch from various restaurants every day. You simply scheduled an order for the day from the restaurant that you wanted. One of the restaurants was Una Mas in Redwood City. They had a nice Carne Asada burrito and burrito bowl. The meal included some nacho chips with salsa. Admittedly the salsa was not spicy but it went well with the chips. The burritos were also quite good. One day I decided the try the Una Mas restaurant in Santa Clara and with the help of Yelp I made my pickup order (yes it was a Carne Asada burrito). The service was quick and parking was easy. The food was very consistent with the ones I got in Redwood City and I was definitely not disappointed. read more

I just happened to be craving Mexican one day and now I need it everyday. Not all Una Mas restaurants are the same. The Una Mas on El Camino and off San Thomas Expressway is the best. I got the chicken quesadilla and it's my new favorite thing to eat everyday. Highly recommend it. Consider tipping the staff, they so appreciate it and it's the right thing to do. read more

Actually 2.5 stars rounded up. I used to come to this store frequently when I lived nearby. With so many of their other locations closing, I find myself returning to my old location. They used to be dependably good (not great) but if it's what you wanted, you got it. I like the grilled veggie burrito and my SO the tortilla soup. Free chips with every order is a nice bonus. When the pandemic hit, the salsa bar understandably went away. Now after nearly every other restaurant has returned to normal, their salsa bar has not. You could maybe ask for limes, jalapeños, pico de gallo, etc., if you're there in person but there's no way to do it when ordering online. Kind of drag. What confirms their downturn to me is they have replaced the steak that used to be available in the margarita salad with flat, uniform strips of seemingly processed beef. While their erstwhile carne asada was often overcooked, it was recognizable as meat. So as long as my favorite menu items stay the way I like them, I will probably be coming back when the mood strikes. It just wouldn't shock me if it all went away read more

First of All WOW! Una Mas has very tasty and scrumptious Mexican food! My eyes wanted everything on the menu. The cashier Luis was very friendly and patient with me, as I didn't know what to order. Then I spotted the Fajita Combo Plate. I ordered half beef and half chicken. My Co-worker ordered the same thing. We were able to dine in the Restaurant which was nice. When opening my to go plate I had no idea it was going to be a big serving. Everything on my plate was so deliciously good that I ate the entire thing. I also had the very nice Strawberry fruit Drink. We wanted to met The Chef, Jaime to give our Thanks for our wonderful lunch! You will love this place, the food and the people! I love the flavors in their food. Some favorites: - chicken tortilla soup, sooooo good. This soup has big chunks of chicken, chunks of avocado, cheese and tortilla strips. The broth is so delicious I could have that on its own. - awesome quesadillas, any meat you select you will be happy - nachos are really good, but too much toppings for the amount of chip. The chips are stale, they never have limes, and CANNOT get any of my orders right! Today I asked if they could please get it right because I hate having to come back, or just suck it up and be mad as hell and eat it anyway. It's simple, a fish taco, no cabbage, lettuce instead with cheese on side. They usually forget the cheese, and because I ask for some extra sriracha on the side, they don't put any on the taco. I was looking for a new taqueria to go to and I pulled up to the nearest location. should have known to walk out when the signs that were put up next to the door and register kept falling off the walls. I would recommend the black gorilla tape they sell it at home depot, trust me when i say it really does fix everything. I'm usually good at spotting red flags and man i seen so many but it had been too late now. not only that but it was very empty and the only people that had walked in were two homeless guys and a muslim lady. I sat down waiting and stood up to get my food when it was ready. while i was eating the most unbelievable thing happened, there was an ant on the table and when there is one there is many and best believe i would know because i've had an ant problem in my apartment a couple years ago. Still in search for baja-like fish tacos and this place is somewhat near it. I bought two fish tacos, they offer fried or broiled. their version of fish tacos has corn tortilla, cabbage, and some type of chipotle sauce... which is a good and bad thing. Bad is it's not "authentic" like, good is it's pretty good. The prices are kind of expensive though. I think because its a franchise or what not. The rest of the food, i don't know, so my ratings are only for the fish tacos! read more

I've never been nor even heard about this place until a friend offered to buy me lunch if I would take them...so you know I couldn't say no to that, right?! We decided to visit the El Camino Real location (**I did some research and they're everywhere**) which was pretty spacious and very well lit. The decor is cool plus they have a huge flat screen TV to watch while enjoying your food. I had no clue what to get my first time here, so I decided to keep it cool and order a fish taco and to my surprise, it was pretty taste! It packed a punch and was spicy which I didn't expect and I really enjoyed every last bite! Personally, I tend not to go to franchise type establishments because most times their stuff is pre-made and what not, but this place is cook to order and did very well for me, so I would definitely go again..*thumbs up* BTW- Lunch is on me next time. read more
