Stopped by for a quick bite. We ended up getting a slice of a margarita and a slice of the vodka pizza and an orange soda! Overall wasn't too bad about $18 for everything and they were able to warm up our pizza and serve it to us fresh pretty quickly. Overall, super tasty and was our first slice of the trip. I tried Uncle Paul's Pizza again and am happy to report that my opinion has changed. While there's no shortage of pizzerias in Manhattan, this one is pretty close to my office and has become a go-to whenever we want pizza. Since my initial review, I have been back a few times with colleagues and have reassessed the goods. The location of Uncle Paul's is ideal for a number of office buildings in Midtown East. The interior is spacious with a large back counter where you order/pick up and a decent amount of seating. While pizza is the main star of the menu, they have some traditional Italian dishes, as well as salads and apps. For this latest venture, we picked up a few items for a work celebration - namely a salad with grilled chicken, grandma pie, and a regular pie with half plain cheese half pepperoni. Everything was really good - the pies had a classic NY thin crust with flavorful sauce and a good balance of toppings. The salad was surprisingly good with a generous amount of grilled chicken. Overall, I think I was a little too quick to judge Uncle Paul's at first visit - honestly, it's a solid NY slice and I wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm looking for pizza in the area again. read more

This classic pie shop is a great place for a slice or two. They have plenty of slice options, though we stuck with the classics. The pizza was absolutely delicious. It's fairly busy and even mid-afternoon almost all of the tables were occupied, plus they seem to do a brisk takeout business. I'd be happy to return here anytime. read more

I was craving some classic New York pizza, and stopped in here because it was the best-rated shop on my route. It ended up being a great choice! I quickly ordered a classic white slice. After I ordered, I wished I had taken the time to look at all of the different options! I noticed they have an alla vodka slice, which sounds incredible! The white slice was delicious and a pretty good size, and it was nice and quiet inside. The perfect little break from walking around busy NYC. read more

Me and my dad went here for dinner after our travel day and safe to say we were impressed! I ordered the pesto gnocchi and my my dad ordered the sausage and pepperoni pizza. The gnocchi was extremely creamy and the pizza was a classic NY slice! The atmosphere was very welcoming and felt like you were eating with family. Quaint and intimate pizzeria about a stones throw away from Grand Central Terminal. Excellent service and clean dining area. Lasagna slices absolutely hit the spot on a cold winter day. Excellent New York Pizza! Can purchase by the slice or order a whole pie. We tried the lasagna , pepperoni, pepperoni & mushroom, and pepperoni and sausage . All were delish. They also have other goodies such as canoli's and other desserts but we didn't get to try this time around. The service was your typical order and go. Michael Scott would grab a Sbarro for a NY slice while in the city. We decided to go a little more authentic. This was just a very good small pizza joint. You walk in and all the pizzas are hot and ready, you just tell them what you're feeling. I got the pepperoni along with a NY cheesecake. It really hit the spot after all those blocks we walked. My wife and I came here with two of our friends and my wife and I agreed it was the best pizza outside of Chicago. We decided ahead of time to come here since we spent the day nearby at MoMA and my belated Great Uncle that lived nearby in New Jersey's name is Paul and it is also the name of our brother in law from New York. There is plenty of seating and the decor is very cool. The prices were very affordable and the service was fast and friendly. We would love to come back but would also love to try some of the other New York pizza places as it is a staple food there. read more

Just down the street and around the corner from Times Square, we happened upon a little pizza restaurant. It had great reviews so we decided to stop by. We've had our share of authentic Italian style pizza from all over the world, but the pizza we got from Paul's raised our eyebrows. It's not a big place, no place in New York is, but the pizza was amazing. We also had fettuccine Alfredo and the sauce was flavorful and creamy just how I like it. This is by far the BEST pizza in Midtown! And I gotta say, I'm a Foodie and I LOVE pizza more than any other food group! The crust is thin.... and crispy on the bottom. The sauce is ON POINT. One of the beauties about New York is its local pizza. I took my sister here on her first trip to New York and we enjoyed the pizza. There was a long line when we walked in but the staff was quick and efficient with getting everyone's orders out. The Pizza had the right amount of cheese and sauce where the sauce wasn't dripping out of the pizza and the cheese had a perfect cheese pull when it came out of the oven. Another thing to note was that there wasn't much excess oil from the cheese which prevents messes too. Perfectly decent slice on the level, if not worse than many slices in the city, as I disliked the sauce, while the rest was fine.

They offer your traditional favorites and a couple new and interesting choices I wasn't familiar with. Their stuffed pitas are incredible! Try the spinach and leek or the beef and onion! The light pastry goodness on the outside of the pita is the best! Favorite pizza is the lobster pizza, but Uncle Paul's Breakfast Pita is also delicious! (Only place i've been to that serves a breakfast pizza, and its topped with delicious quail eggs!) Whats great is that they don't just offer pizza and it's truly a one stop package: there's espresso and coffee items, desserts (homemade panna cotta is my favorite), pasta dishes, paninis, salads, wings, etc. Although it is not technically a restaurant with waitress/waiter service, the staff are very hospitable and one of the ladies waited on us for dinner. It's open 24/7, delivers, and is conveniently located right across from Grand Central terminals. Uncle Paul himself is often in the restaurant and he was extremely welcoming and charming! What first got my attention was the beautiful decor of the place.Immediately I had to go inside. I find their variety of pizza to be truly unique from the Chicken Carbonara to the Grandma style slice. My personal favorite is the Caprese slice the fresh mozzarella is amazing. I tend to eat wraps often from various places but theirs is nothing short of delicious. Everything they use is fresh they even make the dough from strach everyday which I think contributes to its delectable taste. I visit quite often and love the fact that it's conveniently open 24 hours. Since it's opening I've visited several times and now it''s become a daily routine. This pizza shop is not just your average pizzeria because not only do they make the best-tasting pizza that I've ever had,they offer special toppings such as caviar or duck confit. So it really is true that New York pizza is the best. A couple of NYC cops told us to go here for pizza and it didn't disappoint! Best pizza I've ever had. My husband and I were both impressed. The waitress ( blonde girl from West Palm I believe) was very nice and engaging in conversation with us and our daughter. I'm so happy that we came here. This place is very small and we came during the lunch rush. Although it was busy, the staff moved quickly and efficiently. The food is reasonably priced and it is really good. They offer pizza, pasta, and more bug I opted for the pepperoni pizza. This was probably the best slice of pizza I have had in a very long time!
