Pros -Fast delivery. -Easily half the price of any other food delivery service. -I dare you to find an appetizer or hot sandwich that isn't killer. -Wings are the bomb. -Sicilian pizza is so good and affordable it might be more economic than grocery shopping. Tomy's hooked it up! I needed 5 pizzas 30 minutes after they opened and they delivered them 10 minutes early. Everyone including myself enjoyed every bite. This will be my goto place in the future read more

It grossed me out to see them assemble their pizzas without gloves, but when I witnessed them touching deli meats and cheeses with their bare hands for hoagies, I was disgusted enough to say I will never buy food here again. It didn't help that I also saw the sandwich assembler's ass crack during this process. If you're not turned off by that, then the pizza is extremely mediocre and the tenders are really good, if you want a review on their food. I'm bummed because Gray's Ferry is a prepared food desert and I live down the street from Uncle Tomy's. I guess when you have zero competition, it doesn't matter if you cut corners. read more

I like this place, little corner pizza shop that serves wing, soup, cheese steaks, salads & etc. The wings are good, sauce on the side so they arent soggy. Pizza is good. No complaints, orders are on time, quick service, your in & out. Staff has always been nice, friendly and remember me when I come back. No kids or drug dealers hanging out on the corner, so I can walk in and out with out feeling like I'm gonna get jumped. Overall, 5 stars! read more

We ordered a chef salad for moi, a grilled chicken cesar salad for the Mr., and an order of chicken fingers with bbq sauce that we split. The chef salad was awesome! It really had a nice balance of all the components. Sometimes, you'll get a salad from a pizza place and it's mostly lettuce. Not here and the salads are big, portion wise. The only downer was that the hard boiled eggs were cold, while everything else was closer to room temp. They also use packaged dressing. The Mr. loved his salad as well. He wishes they had cesar dressing, however. The chicken fingers SUCKED! They were very dry yet didn't have any crisp. Then, the meat was chewy in places and tough in others. The bbq sauce was ok, but a little bland for my liking. Ordering was a breeze with Grub Hub and it arrived before our estimated time. So, a good experience overall and we will likely order from them again. Update: Picked up an order of The Original Tomy's Fries today. Heaven! Lots of cheesey and bacony goodness. The fries weren't overly greasy or cold. The portion is big and you could easily feed 2 people with the large size. You might not want to share, though! Update 2: I'm dropping a star from my review. I ordered a cheese and sauce stromboli yesterday. Given the name, you would think there would be sauce right? WRONG! There wasn't a drop of sauce. You have to order sauce on the side, for an extra cost of course. Why on earth would you name it a cheese and sauce stromboli, when the sauce costs extra? That is incredibly deceptive to customers, and shady to boot. I will definitely think twice before ordering from here again. read more

This place is so tasty we actually ordered twice in the same week, two nights in a row. Their chicken nuggets/tenders are all homemade fresh, which was a great surprise! So often "homemade" means "re-heated," but not here! Their stuffed meatloaf entree and fried chicken entree made us miss our mothers, the food was so tasty and fresh. The sides--we had mac&cheese, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and greens--were freshly made, not too greasy, and well seasoned. Worst food in South Philly!!! This used to be a good place for food, not now. Since the new owner it has gone down hill. I ordered a HOT Roast Beef with extra gravy got a dried out, no gravy and cold. Ordered a small Uncle Tomeys fries and got barely any steak and the steak I did get was over cooked. Hate to see a good place go bad. Never again. Almost forgot the website is the old owners and is not correct. I give them 0 stars. Horrible food read more

I ordered a cheesesteak, fries and a soda from here today. The total for the order was $20 (not kidding) I was sorely disappointed, both in the quality of the food and the lackluster service and response to my issue. I ordered the cheesesteak with mustard, ketchup, pickles, hot peers, fried onions. It had nearly no hot peppers and it was missing the pickles and the mustard. The size of the sandwich was very small, certainly not what I expected for the price. I called to let the shop know that my sandwich was missing pickles and mustard, and the woman who answered the phone said "well I can credit you 25 cents, but pickles are free." Really? I just paid $20 for a mediocre cheesesteak and your got the order wrong. Needless to say, I will not order from them again, and I am sure they really won't care, because they don't like to deliver to our location anyway. Not happy with experience. Waited little over an hour for delivery to receive cold slice of pizza. The pizza was decent still but shouldn't have been cold. My taco salad had what was called chili on it. Was bland meat and beans. They should season it and throw salsa in with the sour cream to help. Or better yet some sriracha sauce. I ordered the prosciutto caprese pizza. It was the worst thing I've ever seen. Pale frozen dough, bad prosciutto, poor and flavorless "fresh mozarella", burnt basil, and garlic salt everywhere. I gave this place so much of my business and now I regret it. Now let me be clear: I only ordered out of sheer convenience because it is one of the few places in the area that deliver. Anyway, it seems that every time I order (for delivery) from Uncle Tomy's for about the past year or so, at least something is wrong. For example, one night a few months back, the driver had to go back and forth THREE separate times because they kept getting it wrong over and over. I have been convinced it had to be either the people who take orders over the phone are careless or the people making the food are careless - I wasn't completely sure - but after today, one thing is for certain: it stems from the owner. Most recently (TODAY), I ordered a tuna hoagie with American cheese and mayo (I asked for the mayo to be mixed with the tuna and also for it to be on the bread). When the order arrived (and after tipping the driver PLUS paying a delivery fee for them to drive one block), there was no mayo and no cheese. So I got in my car and drove the incorrectly made sandwich back to them and requested it to be made correctly. Are you ready for what the owner did to rectify the situation? Handed me a side of mayo and a few slices of cheese and told me to put it on the sandwich myself - and refused to remake it!! Let me remind you that this was THE OWNER who did this! Now it makes sense why the place stinks. Call me crazy, but if you make a sandwich incorrectly, it is YOUR responsibility to remake it, and to remake it correctly. It is TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE to hand the customer the missing ingredients and tell the customer to do it themselves. After putting up with their carelessness and rude, obnoxious, total disregard for customer service, this most recent event was the straw that broke the camel's back. They'll never get another dime from me. I'd rather drive 5 miles for quality food and customer service than deal with that nonsense again. I had probably one of the worst customer service experiences at this place. I ordered a pizza last night for pick up through Uber eats. When I arrived I was told there was no order. After telling them that the order was made through Uber eats, they discovered their mistake. I received a mediocre apology and was told they could make it in 10 minutes. Since it was cold and rainy, I said that I would wait in my car, and she asked which car. I waited in the car for 20 minutes. Since no one came to the car, I went inside to discover that my pizza was done and sitting on the shelf waiting for me to come get it. Why did she ask which car if she had no intention of bringing it to me? Their indifference was evident. Offer me a bottle of water while I wait for their mistake and bring the pizza to my car, which was right outside of their entrance. I will never recommend Uncle Tomy's Pizza at 27th and Morris in Philadelphia, PA to anyone. read more

I order their wings all the time because they are simply the best wings in the whole city of Philadelphia. They are seasoned and crispy with the sauce served on the side because WHO WANTS SOGGY BUFFALO WINGS? No one. It's gross and Uncle Tomy's is the only establishment that gets it right. I was working around the corner and figured I'd give this place a try. I ordered a cheesesteak that was awesome perfectly cooked. I came back the next day since the food and the service was so good and was a little bit bitter. I ordered two slices of pizza. They came out of the oven hot but tasted stale with a weird after taste. They were definitely sitting out too long. It's worth it to stop here I just wished they had better slices. read more

Finally got to try the meatloaf and unfortunately I'm not very pleased with it. It comes with two sides and a piece of bread. They gave a generous portion of sweet potato fries (which I love) and some mac-n-cheese that kinda tasted microwaved/reheated.. Fine with me, but what I'm not happy about is the actual meatloaf: completely raw in the center. Raw and red ground beef. Completely turned my stomach. I have no problem with ordering a STEAK medium or medium-well, but not my ground beef. Ground beef needs to be cooked thoroughly. Why would they serve meat that is not fully cooked?! I took a picture of the raw meat and I'm still trying to figure out how (if at all possible) I can upload it to this site. I didn't bother calling to complain because it's not worth getting into any kind of altercation with those people. Ya live, ya learn! I just won't order their meatloaf again. read more
