Let me start by saying, not bad pizza once you finally get it. Not great either. Just average. Between waiting 2 hours for any sort of confirmation (Confirmation that I had to call and confirm over and over throughout the course of the last hour of waiting.) and being doubted that my order was actually made, I finally received my cold pizza. I started to believe it would never arrive and that this place didn't exist with how many times my call didn't get picked up. It's not like I called for the first 45 minutes or so. The food was excellent. It was close to midnight and this was the only place around that was open.... And the pizza was amazing! The service was great too, and I had no issues there. However - the music and videos that were playing on the video screens when we were having our late dinner were not appropriate AND we were the only customers there. I was with my nine and eleven year old kids and the media playing was loud and profanity filled. It would have been cognizant of the server and polite to turn down or change the music. But they didn't seem to care. Five stars for food, 1 star for ambiance. I am noting that it WAS late. But then again we were the only ones there. I don't know maybe it's something with the 20 somethings working there and that generations' attitudes. No big thing we were on vacation. Not only is this now our go-to pizza place, it's also out go-to ajarksi place! I stopped here with my family last weekend while we were visiting Universal Studios. We ordered a family-size pizza that was half "original" and half "veggie lovers." It was nice of them to be flexible and let us customize our pie like that. The original was pretty standard with the usual toppings and the veggie lovers went hard with the vegetables including broccoli on it! The pizza crust was well prepared and not too doughy. Overall it tasted good, but there wasn't anything SPECIAL about the pizza. I liked it (I mean come on, how can you not like pizza?), but I didn't love it. I would definitely give this place another shot if I'm ever hungry and in the area. Some good things about Uncle Tony's are the very friendly staff and the fact that there are several TV's everywhere. I feel like it would be a nice place to catch a game with pizza. It's unacceptable especially on Sunday football. Let's now see if it's worth the wait. One pizza, one egg gondola, chicken wings and a Nutella pizza. Pizza is blah, nothing special. Egg gondola was not bad, I actually enjoyed it. Chicken wings were horrible. It's overcooked wings with no flavor. And you can't really go wrong with putting Nutella in anything. I ordered a large antipasti salad. The greens were crisp and cool. The ham and salami were also cold and not slimy, but, fresh and flavorful. How many times have you encountered a head of lettuce smashed into the box with the core and all? The deli meat hot and slimy? It was a great combination of ingredients, although I could use a little more meat, somewhere between this amount and the rolls of meat slapped on by other pizzerias. The pizza was a thin, crispy crust, cheese only, extra cheese. You can see from the lack of grease spots that this pizza is delicate and tasty without being heavy and greasy. I would've expected the amount of cheese to be normal and the extra cheese I ordered would've been double the amount I received. I told him I was allergic to O.O. and he suggested the Linguine with Alfredo Sauce. Hmmm....interesting, thought that would have more O.O. than the other dishes. He said they normally use O.O. when they cook the garlic, but he would do it in butter for me. Woo Hoo!!! I love Linguine with Alfredo sauce, gimme gimme with shrimp please. OMGoodness we could both see the crushed garlic all over my pasta. I knew BroTha and SisTa would hate me the next day as the garlic oozes out of my pores on trail. Caroline was very gracious and friendly from the minute we walked in! We walked in pretty late too, about an hour before closing, and I know it can be difficult to keep a happy and friendly tone after a long day's work, so I appreciated that. We ordered the original combo pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, and garlic bread. It took about 15 minutes to come out. They had lovely Christmas music playing so the atmosphere was quite pleasant. They also have a television above the fireplace that was showing ESPN, which was great for my boyfriend. On the other side of the fireplace, they had another tv that was showing another channel. I decided to change my 2 star rating to a 1 star based on the owners comments. The fact that other people didn't complain about their calzones had no bearing at all on MY experience. Perhaps they got better prepared calzones; or perhaps they didn't mind the oiliness like I did. He told me that the calzones weren't oily, yet in a comment to another reviewer (MB) he said "The reason the mushrooms were soggy is because we use canned mushrroms"(sic). He told a different customer that they offer two kinds of crusts, and implied the 1-star customer ordered the wrong crust. And flat-out accused a guy with over 40 reviews of being a shill. Which upon further review is hilarious given the number of 1 sentence 5 star reviews from people with single-digit review totals. (If you want to see fake reviews check out the dates on the filtered ones). It is too bad, that Uncle Tony doesn't take criticism. He has a nice facility, a nice menu, reasonable prices, and could do well here. Yet he has a 3.0 rating But even my pointer about the plumbing fixtures seemed to upset him. I never said the rest room was dirty, I said the faucet design was going to cause problems. All businesses have growing pains at first; but rather than listening to customer feedback; Tony chooses to argue with it. Oh well, I can live without Uncle Tony's; but Tony's business won't survive long if he can't get along with customers. Takes me back to the good old Me N Eds days from Central California... Their signature pizza is SUPPOSED to be thin crust and crunchy! So for those who complained about it and fed the pizza to their "dog" to sound cool and funny, you go ahead and continue to order pizza from the overrated franchise pizza places... This place has it all, from Wings, Calzones, Potato wedges to Beer's and Hookah..For those who are Armenian, they offer 2 delicious pizzas you WONT find anywhere else...A soujouk (spicy sausage) pizza, and a basturma (zesty pastrami) pizza...Both are very tasty and are definitely worth trying at least once! I absolutely love to come to uncle Tony's pizza with my family. We were here on 2/28 and they have good deals. Their pizza is beyond delicious fresh out the oven delicious!! And so is their spectacular customer service, Alex was super friendly polite and very efficient when I was ordering I always appreciate excellent customer service and he provided me and my kids just that. I love that their pizza is made with fresh ingredients. Sure beats any particular pizza chain company. We ordered a medium pepperoni jalapeño pizza --- nothing special. Wings mild--- okay. Chicken fettuccini ---bland. We did the check in on yelp and got the free cheese bread, which was decent. So my issue, although small, was the ranch. The menu says .25 for ranch. I ordered 3. They charged me 1.50 so I think to myself oh maybe I misread it? After I paid I rechecked and on the menu hanging it says 25 cents. So I thought oh maybe it was an accident. There's no way tax can be double. So I asked why they charged me more and he said they were 45 cents so I point it out on the menu that it says 25 cents. He's just replies "they're 45 cents" I just let it go, okay I guess. I Mean we ordered thirty four dollars worth of food you'd think they'd update their menus and admit their mistake. Then I wonder, maybe they hand make their ranch with love and that's the reason they're so picky.... literally tasted like hidden valley packaged ranch with no love. So I was out with my teenage daughter and husband on Sunday shopping at the Fashion Square mall in Sherman Oaks. Needless to say, we were starving after all that shopping and walking around. We were craving something new and my husband suggested pizza so we went on Yelp and found this magnificent place! My husband was extremely happy as they had a game on their big screen TV. I was happy because they served wine. ;) But when I found out that it was also a hookah bar, I thought, we're definitely going to be here for a while. We ordered two different pizzas -- the Roasted Garlic Chicken and Greek Feta. Holy cow! They were both delicious. The crust was amazing! It was crispy, just the way I like it. We went outside and my husband had a beer and I had some wine and smoked some hookah. The flavor we chose was Prickly Pear and it was fantastic. We actually had people come up to us to tell us that they loved the aroma. We ended up hanging around for three hours and didn't even realize it. My teenage daughter, who is very picky, said she was craving their pizza today and that I should definitely go on Yelp and give them a good review, so here I am. So i have found my most favorite spot for pizza! The thin crust is so amazing wow it was delicious. And their pricing is great. So i was placing an order over the phone for carry out and i asked them about the yelp offer they had about a small free garlic bread offer with check in. When asked about that over the phone they told me thats only valid with a purchase of a large pizza ( altho we were buying two medium pizzas)... So anyway when we got there i told them that the offer says check in to unlock. Anyway after checking in, the disclaimer came up and it did in fact say free garlic bread with a purchase of large or xl pizza. HOWEVER, the lady was soo nice she gave us the free garlic bread anyway, so sweet, i love when business owners demonstrate amazing customer service, will definitely be coming back here just for that reason. Also, lemme tell you about the amazing atmosphere, there are games, like 4-5, great for kids or older kids like ourselves :). And they also have a patio outside for hookah.
