The worst! Where are they getting their good reviews from?! I was forced to throw away all the food and I am pissed. I ordered a pizza that tasted worse than a frozen boxed pizza and potato wedges that were burned. I took pictures of them cause I had never seen such crapy food. I usually use yelp to select my food but this time it really let me down. I never take the time to write a review but I feel this restaurant shouldn't even be in business. Hoping I can save some of you from ending up in this place. Had to come back and add this... So I decided to call the manager and have her aware of my experience. I decided to change my 2 star rating to a 1 star based on the owners comments. The fact that other people didn't complain about their calzones had no bearing at all on MY experience. Perhaps they got better prepared calzones; or perhaps they didn't mind the oiliness like I did. He told me that the calzones weren't oily, yet in a comment to another reviewer (MB) he said "The reason the mushrooms were soggy is because we use canned mushrroms"(sic). He told a different customer that they offer two kinds of crusts, and implied the 1-star customer ordered the wrong crust. And flat-out accused a guy with over 40 reviews of being a shill. Which upon further review is hilarious given the number of 1 sentence 5 star reviews from people with single-digit review totals. (If you want to see fake reviews check out the dates on the filtered ones). It is too bad, that Uncle Tony doesn't take criticism. He has a nice facility, a nice menu, reasonable prices, and could do well here. Yet he has a 3.0 rating But even my pointer about the plumbing fixtures seemed to upset him. I never said the rest room was dirty, I said the faucet design was going to cause problems. All businesses have growing pains at first; but rather than listening to customer feedback; Tony chooses to argue with it. Oh well, I can live without Uncle Tony's; but Tony's business won't survive long if he can't get along with customers. This is why I live for Yelp... We were craving pizza and didn't know any good places by us, so we went on Yelp, and BAM! Chose this freakin gem of a place based on the stars it got, and had our pizza delivered. It arrived hot and crispy! Veggie Combo: Are you kidding me? It was packed with vegetables. More veggies than cheese! And we loved how they chopped up the veggies so you got mouths full of every ingredient in every bite. The crust was so thin, and the ingredients dribbled all the way to the edge of the pie. I LOVED THAT! I usually don't eat crusts because...I mean, why? But there were no big chunks of crust, just the perfect amount. Spicy Hawaiian: Heaven arrived today. I love me some pineapple on my pies, and there were pineapples in every bite. So unbelievably balanced and seasoned, it elevated the traditional Hawaiian to the stars. And if you're worried about spice, it honestly wasn't all that spicy. I had to pour on the red pepper flakes they gave us to get some heat. I would call this a mild spicy. After years in LA, we have finally found our go to pizza place. I've ordered a lot of Uncle Tony's Combo Pizza. Food quality, customer service, and consistency used to be excellent. Lately, their service has gone downhill and the food quality is declining. My most recent order on July 11, 2018 included a terrible meatball sandwich. Meatballs were few, dry, small and cut in half (which made them drier). Salad needed more green leaves and less stems. Pizza toppings not as generous. The previous order was delivered late and the pizza was COLD. The driver got lost and the snarky woman that called me became annoyed when I asked if the pizza was still hot since it had been a long time since I placed my order. She snapped at me, "Yes, yes, the pizza is still hot!" and then hung up on me. Took over 1 hour to get our food delivered. Luke warm at best. 2 calzones a penne. That's it. Marinara sauce had zero flavor. This place has really changed since covid began. First there are signs on the door advertising specials and when you go in to order they say that the price on the door isn't correct. It is higher. Reminds me of the old bait and switch. Then the guy doesn't wear gloves and he is touching money and he isn't wearing his mask properly. It's been awhile since I have been to Tony's. Moved out of town.. and I really liked their pizza.. staff was great.. good selection of drinks. And a comfortable place.. family like atmosphere.. I think it's under new owners.. it was all new inside. With booths which was nice.. but nice ended there. Staff fairly indifferent.. not happy not pleasent.. they weren't rude or anything.. they just didn't want to be there and you could tell.. there were three of them and I'm pretty sure it was mom, son and daughter.. pizza was not as enjoyable.. seemed the same but different.. the serve yourself soda fountain was gone, now they sold bottled drinks, and a limited selection.. and the only water they had was bottled.. Takes me back to the good old Me N Eds days from Central California... Their signature pizza is SUPPOSED to be thin crust and crunchy! So for those who complained about it and fed the pizza to their "dog" to sound cool and funny, you go ahead and continue to order pizza from the overrated franchise pizza places... This place has it all, from Wings, Calzones, Potato wedges to Beer's and Hookah..For those who are Armenian, they offer 2 delicious pizzas you WONT find anywhere else...A soujouk (spicy sausage) pizza, and a basturma (zesty pastrami) pizza...Both are very tasty and are definitely worth trying at least once! I've been there about 10 times so far, and will continue to be a patron there. So I was out with my teenage daughter and husband on Sunday shopping at the Fashion Square mall in Sherman Oaks. Needless to say, we were starving after all that shopping and walking around. We were craving something new and my husband suggested pizza so we went on Yelp and found this magnificent place! My husband was extremely happy as they had a game on their big screen TV. I was happy because they served wine. ;) But when I found out that it was also a hookah bar, I thought, we're definitely going to be here for a while. We ordered two different pizzas -- the Roasted Garlic Chicken and Greek Feta. Holy cow! They were both delicious. The crust was amazing! It was crispy, just the way I like it. We went outside and my husband had a beer and I had some wine and smoked some hookah. The flavor we chose was Prickly Pear and it was fantastic. We actually had people come up to us to tell us that they loved the aroma. We ended up hanging around for three hours and didn't even realize it. My teenage daughter, who is very picky, said she was craving their pizza today and that I should definitely go on Yelp and give them a good review, so here I am. We are going to go there again very soon and take our friends and family as we know they will love it as much as we did. :) read more

So i have found my most favorite spot for pizza! The thin crust is so amazing wow it was delicious. And their pricing is great. So i was placing an order over the phone for carry out and i asked them about the yelp offer they had about a small free garlic bread offer with check in. When asked about that over the phone they told me thats only valid with a purchase of a large pizza ( altho we were buying two medium pizzas)... So anyway when we got there i told them that the offer says check in to unlock. Anyway after checking in, the disclaimer came up and it did in fact say free garlic bread with a purchase of large or xl pizza. HOWEVER, the lady was soo nice she gave us the free garlic bread anyway, so sweet, i love when business owners demonstrate amazing customer service, will definitely be coming back here just for that reason. Also, lemme tell you about the amazing atmosphere, there are games, like 4-5, great for kids or older kids like ourselves :). And they also have a patio outside for hookah. Not to brag, but I've had some pretty good pizza in my life--the kind of pizza that makes you pretentious enough about pizza that you begin referring to Dominos and Pizza Hut as "pizza." But if you're in North Hollywood about to watch a movie at Century 8 for $7.75 (student discount!) finding a really good pizza place feels almost like a tiny miracle. And that's what this place was. After seeing that there was a pizza place with four and a half stars next to the Subway we almost decided on, my boyfriend and I walked in with pretty high expectations. We ordered a medium pizza, half spicy Hawaiian and half original, 6pc hot wings, and the garlic bread deal from checking in on Yelp. I added one star for service, because the woman at the cash register let us have the bread even though when I redeemed it I didn't realize it was valid only with a large or xl pizza. The garlic bread really topped it off! We also had a pitcher of Bud Light. The spicy Hawaiian had a nice kick to it. Both pizzas were piled high with toppings. There was a good amount of meat on each. I usually like thin pizzas, but I appreciated the soft but chewy dough that was a little on the thicker side but not anywhere close to a dreaded deep dish (deep dish is definitely "pizza"). Just received our pizza (meat love) after waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes (it's midnight now). Delivery is really slow and the pizza isn't what we ordered. We ordered Meat love pizza WITH tomato sauce but we received a pizza with NO SAUCE. Just plain meats on top of pizza bread. We are now heating our own tomato sauce to put it on. This is hilarious. I don't eat pizza frequently, but when I do, I normally only go to 786 Degrees in Sun Valley (award-winning Chef Ali Haider is a pizza GENIUS) and Pizza Boy in Glendale when visitors want more traditionally-flavored pizzas. After seeing all of these positive Yelp reviews for Uncle Tony's , I thought I'd diversify and was excited to place an online order for pickup. When I got there, I was NOT greeted by the two employees that were 3 feet from me AT THE REGISTER. One of them was on the phone (older guy) and the other (younger guy) was telling him what to say to the customer on the phone ("$20 minimum", etc...). Approx. 3 minutes in, the younger employee walks away from the older employee (still on the call) and walks into the dining area, PAST ME and back into the rear of the kitchen. Approx. 5 minutes in, the older employee gets off of the phone, IGNORES ME, sweeps for about 8 seconds, then starts doing something behind the privacy wall of the counter. At around this time, an employee who had been making a pizza this entire time, is courteous enough to say "somebody will be with you in a minute". Obviously it won't be him, but at least HE was good enough to address the customer. Approx. 7 minutes in, the 2 employees previously dealing with a phone call, were doing the same thing again. Approx. 10 minutes in, the younger employee at the register asked me something about buying or picking an order of wings. I told him that I've been waiting to get my pickup order which I saw sitting on top of the oven. From this point on he was a good employee, he had a good attitude and he also checked the receipt and noticed that there should have also been a dessert, which he retrieved. After being ignored for about 10 minutes, I decided that even if the pizza is amazing, this place will only get 3-4 stars. There really is no excuse for what happened in there, because it is such an EASY issue to avoid. Sure, it could've been worse: we didn't get into a fight, there were no obvious cleanliness violations, nobody there was offensive, etc., etc. I checked the order in the car and it look OK and there were no mistakes (2 pizzas with 2 different crusts). Good job there. When I got home, I found that the pizzas were just OK. Not disgusting (like Pizza Hut or Domino's), not improperly made, but nothing special. It's just the choice of ingredients. Flavors are subjective, so they didn't do anything wrong there. Just-OK pizza + bad customer service = 2 stars. read more

They didn't even have ketchup on the table. They charged us 30 cent for each sauce that we chose. Absolute downhill spiral! The service has been horrible over and over and over again. I don't care any more about the food, it's just not worth it. The biggest problem is the lady behind the counter (which I see others have complained about), but nobody there seems to care to do anything about it! It's been like pulling teeth to get a little bit of extra sauce...no matter how much we're spending on food. We've had them try overcharging at least twice when we order...got burned one, then caught it the following two times. The second time, the lady behind the register was super-aggravated that I questioned it...even when she turned out to be wrong. I asked the delivery driver for a fork. Not his job, I guess...he looked at someone else to get it and didn't even say anything. Getting dirty looks every time we're there from the lady at the register is ridiculous. The last straw was a few days ago. I went in with my family. There was one table seated outside. The music was totally blaring. My wife and one of the kids sat down. I went to the order and the lady was just chatting away on the phone. She gave us a couple of dirty looks and just kept on talking. Nope...not taking orders. Another girl I haven't seen behind the counter looked over a couple of times...didn't say anything. The guys making the food NEVER pay attention. Just clearly wanted us to not be there. Not a problem...We left...for the LAST TIME. Ambiance absolutely doesn't overcome making your customer as uncomfortable as possible on ever single visit over the past 2+ years. How I wish I could give them zero stars. For starters, my girlfriend and I came and ordered a 7" and a 10" pepperoni pizza with extra sauce and extra pepperoni, and a 12 pc of wings. What we received, however, were frozen Celeste pizza/wings served right from the oven. The wings were more like if chicken had actual fingers, dipped in spicy shit, and served in a red basket. Im hugely disappointed at the yelpers who gave this place anything more than two stars. When my order was ready for me, they called my name, and I walked up to the counter to pick up the pizzas and the order of wings. Bruh, was I disappointed in the presentation. Whatever. I grabbed the food, walked it to my table and began regretting my decision to eat there. The next immediate order belonged to an Armenian male that sat behind us. When his food was ready, one of the people at the counter walked his pizza to his table, no questions asked. Talk about awful inconsistent service. The place is ran by Armenians, the place is blasting reggaeton noise, catering to the only hispanic male working the kitchen.
