Really enjoyed my experience here, especially after a negative experience at Luke's Ice House down the road. The owner is a real guy, knows his beers, know the hospitality business and how to take care of people. The beer selection is fantastic and reasonably priced. I came from out of town, San Antonio, and am not familiar with all the different districts of Houston, but The Heights seemed pretty dead and with no soul, but not this place, this place had a heart and soul. Can't say enough about how much we loved this place! Great drink prices, nice bar, great service, clean AND our Kai dog was able to hang out off-leash. Friendly, casual and perfect for a relaxing night with friends and a final four basketball game. The drink selection is immense and delicious. This is the ultimate neighborhood hangout spot. They have an incredible selection of liquor, bottled beers and draft beers that are constantly rotating. What a gem in Houston! Fairly new to the area, but this is by far the best beer bar I've found in Houston so far. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable, and can point you to the right beer. Whatever your preference in beer, whether its a smooth, malty porter or a dry, floral IPA these guys will find you the beer you love. The spirits are underrated. They feature one of my favorite whisk(e)ys from France called Bastille. Trivia on Tuesdays is fun and competitive. Winner gets a big chunk of money taken off their beer tab. This is the local spot for great craft beers and an awesome spirits selection. Every beer on tap is $5 and everything else is very reasonably priced. The owners, Steve and Dustin are real cool guys and at least one of them is there behind the bar to pour you a drink. The brew and infused shots are all great. Try the bacon infused bloody! We just moved into the area and was looking for a laid back bar with a good craft beer selection. I knew it was going to be good when we met a group made up of staff from a local brewery. Great selection of beers! Good prices and their whiskey selection is comparable to their beer selection. Bartenders were both very knowledgeable about their beers and the local beer scene overall.
