If you are in the moodfor some homemade japanese onigiri this is the place to go! A small veriaty of different onigiri packed with asian flavors. Something you don't get just anywhere! Each onigiri has its unique japanese flavor. And they are all delicious! Well, at least the ones we've tried are all delicious! Our favorites are the tan tan miso and the ebi (shrimp) one. They are small but they sure can fill you up good. The staff they are young fun and friendly! Super sweet! They always greet with a smile. And they answer any questions anyone may have. Now the place itself would be better if they had their own place but since they are just starting its fine. You wouldn't expect it to be inside a market shared with another food place right next to it inside the market, if that makes sense? For a business that used mostly social media for their opening. They don't respond to any questions on their socials, big negative. Very cheap with the filling 96% rice. Quick snack if there is no line. The 7-11 in Japan taste better than these. The cashier was more exited about what I got more than I was. Prep of the unigiri happens in the open so you can see workers scratch their heads laugh and talk to each other touching other items and going back to making unigiri. I was so excited to try the new Uni girl at what used to be the old Tien Hung Market. I must've gotten there at the right time because there was no line and they were fully stocked. It was a hard decision but we picked the Unagi and the crab onigiri to try. They were both so delicious. The Unagi was filled with eel and had that great familiar salty sweet, fishy flavor. The onigiri was very flavorful, and the rice was fresh. The crab only Yary was even more delicious. It was absolutely stuffed with crab, had edamame edamame and very flavorful. So excited we're gonna come back in a few hours after walking around to get more but they were sold out at that time. I absolutely recommend you come and try the spot out but get there early so you have more of selection. The folks there are very nice and answer any questions you have. The best part is that you can have a whole food adventure here. Get some onigiri, walk two steps and get a bahn mi and then walked two more steps and get some crispy pork. I finally made it to UniGril to try their onigiri, and I was so excited! They only open a few days a week with limited hours until they sell out, so I made sure to go on a Sunday when they were set to open at 12:30 pm. We arrived around 12 pm, and there was already a line of about 15 people in front of us which it was not too bad! While waiting, I enjoyed good music which made the wait time faster until they were open. It was cool watching them prep and make the onigiri. When they finally opened, we waited only about 10 minutes before it was our turn. I had hoped to try the spicy crab onigiri, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. Instead, we got yuzu crab, shrimp tempura, miso salmon, beef sukiyaki, and fried chicken. The best one for us was definitely the fried chicken onigiri it was so good with a little spicy kick. My least favorite was the beef sukiyaki. The staff was also incredibly friendly and patient, answering all of our questions. read more

We bought the salmon miso, tuna mayo, & unagi onigiris to try. The nori (seaweed) wasn't fresh and crunchy because they don't use the same packaging other places do to keep the nori separate from the rice. The tuna mayo was average, it had a slight sour taste. Salmon miso and Unagi were a lot better but the edamame beans in the rice wasn't enjoyable so we took them out. For the price the size is definitely a bit small as well. read more
