So I read all the reviews and thought. If I go here its gonna be bad, because all the good reviews. And usually when I go to the places that have good reviews suck. Well that happened this time. I was really hoping that I wouldn't experience this. But..... the food wasn't worm, by the time I got to my chair it would be cold. Basically the only good thing there is the egg drop soup. I mean you really can't screw up on that. But everything else I could barley eat. Nothing had taste. I usually don't put salt and pepper on anything. This time I had too. I won't be coming back. Most buffets are pretty similar, so when a buffet has a couple of things that are different and good, it really stands out. The pot stickers are perfectly cooked so that some part of the noodle is nice and soft and some of it is nice and crispy. The fact that they can cook each pot sticker right thousands of times a day is pretty impressive. But there is one thing on this menu that I think about a few times a week: the hibachi grilled chicken. I pile it up on my plate. I go back for seconds and sometimes thirds. Before I put anything on my plate I check to make sure it isn't all taken. Two times I have walked in when it is very busy and the hibachi grilled chicken plate has been empty and I bail and go eat at Chipoltle instead. Sometimes you get a burny piece, but they are still good. Because for every burny piece (which is still good) you also get one perfectly cooked piece with a little bit of char and a little bit of fat that is soft and chewy. This place is big and popular. It is always full. This is a testament to the food. It is really a pretty good buffet for ten bucks. read more

The place is completely remodeled from the previous restaurant (Furr's). All is new and spetacularly clean. Decor is comtemporary, soothing to the eyes and cool to the touch. The buffet has more choices than I have seen at any other buffet. All are fresh, well prepared and well presented. You'll find BIG shrimps, fresh broccolli, fresh and crunchy greenbean, a large bar of fruit and vegetable, various chicken/pork/beef dishes, and lots more here.The sushi bar has real fish sushi and not just California rolls (if you want to go for serious sushi, I recommend serious sushi restaurants like Deep Sushi in downtown Dallas, Miyoshi in Plano, do not go to a Chinese buffet and expect a world of fancy sushi). The staff works so hard to please their customers. They deserve a good tip eventhough this is a buffet restaurant. Oh, lastly, the price is way reasonable too for all that good stuff. This place was just awful! I really do not like buffets. I went in a group in the teal the reason why I came here. Everybody said how awesome everything was here and I beg to differ. I think the only reason why everybody liked it was because it's a ton of food for very cheap but sometimes you get what you pay for. I did not finish everything on my plate because this place made me feel heavy afterwards and I was falling asleep in the theater afterwards. They must use a lot of MSG in their food because this is the only chemical that makes me fall asleep. Everything was bland and it tasted like absolutely nothing and I couldn't figure out how every single type of food they had just didn't taste like anything. I had a great time with my friends and I enjoyed the movie we watched after but I would never go back to this restaurant and I feel sorry for anybody who actually thinks this place taste good because to me it's just a cheap buffet. And that would be the only thing that makes it good. I understand if maybe there are a lot of people who enjoy it here but I would highly recommend other places if you need any suggestions please let me know. read more

Was looking for a good Chinese buffet near the Valley Ranch area; especially, since the Grand Buffet near us decided to no longer do this (Bummer! We live 5 min from it!). Read on Yelp about this place. At first, we were a little reluctant because of the name ("Uno" 1 Buffet???), but once we got there, we got it. They offer tamales, fajitas, and other Mexican items along with some common American faves (I.e. Pizza, BBQ ribs, French fries) with the Chinese items. We were so impressed with how fresh everything was, as well as, the diversity and variety of the food. Also, impressive was how service-oriented everyone was. They were always buzzing around making sure the items never got low and were always freshened up. They were always refilling our drinks, grabbing our plates as soon as we put them to the side at our table, and asking how we were doing. For a buffet, we were also impressed at how clean and hygienic this place was, too. Your silverware comes to you wrapped in your napkin at the table. The plates were stacked upside down UNDERNEATH the buffet near the front and at the dessert buffet. And, bowls were stacked upside down at the soups. Never seen a better run buffet...EVER! We'll definitely be back - even if this isn't the most convenient place for us to get to (down next to Irving Mall). read more

POOR AND RUDE SERVICE. They made my friend pay $12 for drinking water and not eating. They were extremely rude and would not listen to anything we had to say. You pay for what you get out of an all you can eat buffet. The food can only be categorized as either dry or greasy. The only thing I ate was the watermelon because I had actually seen a worker put out a "fresh" tray, as opposed to when there is left over food in the trays, which are then layered on top of the new food. The service was what you'd expect as well, checking in on us at the beginning and the end, leaving all manner of napkins and plates to pile up. If you just want to stuff your face and don't bother tasting your food, then this place will suffice. read more

I work with a big bassard with a big appetite who requires all u can lunch buffets so as to not go bankrupt. We consider ourselves buffet hunters and take our avocation very seriously. This place is great. Efficient. Clean. Great interior (No mal-painted, greasy crappy brother in law installed 1" wood trim featuring butt joints). The buffet line is genius. The curved shape allows workers to replenish the food items from behind the counter without running into hungry patrons. Most importantly, the damn food is good. It is what it is, and for what it is, it is good. The chicken wings are always dead on. The fish filets are filets, not bellies. Multiple shrimp dishes. I can only offer to reccomendations. 1. Put jugs of hand sanitizer everwhere (the sanitation link in buffet land is the guy sitting next to you). 2. I prefer to pay on the way into a buffet so I can get the hell out once finished. Id rate this a 2.5 but maybe for other people a 3.5 .i went yesterday.it gets prettty packed had to wait 20 minutes in line. And then got seated.NO A.C they didnt have the A.c just the fans were On.they dont really have much too choose from No orange chicken.no vegetable fried rice.and their steamed rice is in a steam pot maybe 6 inches wide.not alot.Took a long ass time to come and attend you forgot our waters.and they charge my HEIGHT and not age 3 feet and up5.99.and we got charged 5.99 for the baby thats 3 and he doesnt even eat a plate. Of foood.and their food is in a circular thing.and everybody gets in line.like hello we aint in school.and when you get in front of them you get nasty Looks??? The selection was better than most places. With that being said, they really need to work on cooling the place off. I could not enjoy my food because of a nauseated feeling due to the general heat in the building. The temperature outside was 106, and when I walked inside it felt only about 15 degrees cooler. I spoke to someone about it and they said the temperature was fine. I ate maybe half a plate of food and then had to leave because the heat induced nausea got to me. read more

I've been here on a few occasions. They always seem to be quite busy they have an adequate selection but I've been to others that have been much better selection. Salmon is one of my favorites. They ran out while I was there and they didn't ever replace it. The greeter wasn't very enthusiastic she was actually brewed in the sense we are trying to find another place to be seated the restaurant is pretty large and it was a fool at all and she wanted us to sit at a booth and we weren't willing to do that she didn't appear to want to accommodate us which she eventually did. Me and my husband visited this place a few days ago and it was okay. Service-Servers greeted us when we walked in the door and seated us. Very nice and cordial. Food-It was okay. At most buffets, you expect food to be in metal bins instead of white oversized plastic plates which was odd considering to me it doesn't retain heat as well as metal does and I was right. By the time I got my food and sat down it was already cold and the broccoli was over doused in sauce so it just ended up being soggy. Chicken wings were good. Lemonade was kind of watered down. Yeah, the food overall was okay, could be better. Overall experience-Would be nice if they featured extra TV's. I just like to be able to watch it while I'm eating and not looking at everybody else look at me while im eating lol. However, I don't think we will be going back. read more

I must say this is truly the best oriental buffet I've ever been to. The parking lot is always packed so evidently I'm not the only one who likes it. They have just about every Chinese dish you can think of. Garlic shrimp. COCOANUT shrimp, etc. Even ribs, Wings, and lots of shrimp. Complete salad bar and desserts as well. The staff is very attentive and helpful. You will see a lot of families with children so it can be crowded but it's worth the crowd. The place is very clean and the price is good. Tip: if you go Friday or Saturday evening try to get there by 5 to avoid long lines. read more

Great selection, but after the 3rd time in a row of visiting the restaurant and finding it to be extremely dirty we decided we could not go back. The first time we went everything was perfect, but every time after that the upkeep just got worse and worse. We were also disturbed to witness a small child, probably one of the worker's, walk around on the inside of the buffet line and reach into the food bins, eating with her hands. I hope they can pull their act together because this place has a lot of potential. read more

I came here for some descent Chinese food with family, instead what I got was a waitress that gave my whole family attitude, a hibachi grill that taste like crap, and a hair in my pineapple. I told the owner what my experience was like and she had the audacity to say i was trying to skip the bill. I intended to pay the full amount and that's what I did.
