I'd love to make this my regular breakfast spot as I live nearby however, after 3 visits I won't be attempting to visit here anymore. The cafe and food itself is lovely but the servers need to regroup on their customer service. Having 8 or so servers and all of them are socializing majority of the time rather than completing server basics all while people are waiting nearly an hour to get their meal and tables are dirty, it is frustrating to see. I watched two servers run into a bathroom together and in the 10-15 minutes I was still there never saw them come out all while a customer was waiting to use one of the restrooms as well. read more

If you're starving or in a hurry to eat, this is NOT the place to go. Sat here for 17 minutes before someone finally took my order. Table next to me was served food, without having any utensils and had to wait for the server to bring it while their food got cold. Finally got my food another 20 minutes later. It was nothing special. Potatoes were bland due to no seasoning- not even butter. Waffle was a waffle. Apparent they were having a technical issue which caused the delay, and you could tell the waitress was trying to make up for it. Food was fine. Eggs cooked on point. Good omelette and hasbrowns. Chicken and waffle were good. Service, when we were finally sat was fine. What a cluster F*** at the front door. Walked in and there was one guy waiting. After a considerable time standing there someone finally put us on the list. The place was less than half full. Over heard hostess tell the next group they were short staffed. I counted 6 front of the house employees and they had 8 tables seated in the entire place. Also, this must be noted, and they get knocked down a Star because of it ... they completely ignore the Law that requires masks. None of the 16 people that came in after us were wearing masks and the staff did not enforce or require them to do so. Well of course they wouldn't, because absolutely none of the staff was wearing a mask. We almost left because we did not want to support and give our money to such an establishment. But we were afraid every place in this tiny town might be the same. Come to find out that it was not a tiny town issue, rather an ignorant owner who is putting his employees, customers and their families at risk. I do not recommend this place because of that. I don't like wearing a mask but it is the rule/law. Not that big of a deal - just wear a F***ing mask for gods sake. read more

I don't know what's happened to this place. I understand everyone is entitled to an off day, but the last two times we've been, it just hasn't been good. On our most recent visit we were seated at a two-top table even though there were several larger tables available and there were three of us. It really didn't make any sense as the hostess had to go grab a chair for my son so he could be stuck on the end of a tiny table. So when the waitress came we asked if the three of us could move to one of the four chair tables, which of course she said agreed too. They also didn't give us a kids menu. We asked the hostess for one when she sat us and she went to get it. She never came back so we asked the waitress. Several minutes later it showed up. The pecan coffee, which I always love, was burnt. My biscuits were burnt on the bottom and my gravy was cold. My bacon was so greasy I didn't want to eat it. And it felt like we waited forever for our food. Again, this place used to be breakfast staple for me. But after two bad experiences in a row, I'm not sure when or if we'll be back. read more

Great new cafe open for breakfast and lunch only Tuesday - Sunday. Closes at 2 PM. Located across the street from the Aubrey Fire Department in a 100+ year old building with street parking only. Pancake, waffle or French toast combos are $8.75 with breakfast served all day. Biscuits are the specialty of the house with biscuits and gravy served with two eggs and bacon/sausage for $6.99. Portions are generous and the service is good. You will not get this quality at fast food restaurants. This may be the only place in Aubrey that specializes in breakfast biscuits. Lunch portions are also generous. I ordered the club sandwich with fries and had to ask for a box, which rarely happens with me. This sandwich was just as good as the one at Cheddar's but much larger. This is a family restaurant with no smoking, alcohol or live entertainment. read more

The food was good. No complaints there. The hostesses are sweet. (Or they really tried to be.) But every time we go there it takes over an hour to get our food. Sometimes the waitress comes out and apologizes. Sometimes we sit there without even a drink refill. Today I sat there for over an hour with 3 toddlers and watched table after table get there food before us. The kids were everywhere. The waitress gave us some crackers and never came back with coloring pages. When we stood up to leave they said it was almost ready. We ended up leaving with the food in boxes and didn't have to pay for it. But when we got home my son was so filled up on crackers he wouldn't eat. We don't have many choices, living out here in a small town. I would rather stay home than go here again. read more

Had a late breakfast there today. Oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar and a bagel and their pecan coffee! Excellent. The service was fast and attentive. The service is so bad that it's comical. Came in today (9/18/21) slightly before 1pm. The restaurant was by no means busy. We ordered appetizers and they came to the table at 1:40pm; loaded chips and fried pickles. The main food came shortly after. I scooted my empty drink to the edge of the table, out waitress along with multiple other waitresses walked by it 4+ times. I got so frustrated with the situation that I got up, walked to the kitchen and refilled my own beverage. When I walked back 4 of the waitresses were standing at the table all on their phones. They had no idea I was back there refilling my drink until I said "hey guys". Again- so bad that it's comical. read more

Been going to Upper Park for years. Only been there twice now since Covid. Today we placed an to go order at 1pm. We were told 15 to 20 mins. Got to the restaurant at 1:20pm. Was told when I arrived that they would check on my order. After 10 mins starting asking where was my order. Told it should be a few more minutes. Finally my order came out at 1:50 pm. No apologies but the wait staff was polite and understanding. Not sure what happened but management needs to get the kitchen in order. One would be understanding if they were really busy but was only at 50% and about half of those seated were already eating. Please get it together or you will be missed. read more

Came back after about a month and a half away and it looks like they did a "re-draft" of their waitstaff as we only recognized 2-3 servers. Our waitress was one we didn't recognize and she was fantastic. Our order came out right and pretty quickly. We'll be back again soon. read more

Updated review. Came this morning for brunch, they were busy and the service was fine but the food wasn't so good. Burger was dried out and bland, green beans tasted like chemicals, and our pancakes were sponges. Not sure who their cool was but they may need some more training. read more

Wait wait and wait.....Service is very slow, the gals where to busy chatting and finally one of them took our order. Then more waiting, not sure if they have small kitcn or just cook 1 item at a time. Food was good but for a simple Breakfeast you don't expect it to be 45 mins. Always great food! Very reasonably priced. Love the music. All the waitresses there are always super friendly! I usually go out there from Denton at least once a week to eat, because of how much I enjoyed my first experience there, and nothing about that has changed! Upper Park in Aubrey has a great thing going! I love the atmosphere so much, I've not had an interest in trying the one that's closer to me, and I enjoy the ride out there! Only thing I will note, which is probably a preference thing, but the muffins are no kinda muffins I grew up with! I have to remind myself of it. They're still good. First time here. Service is very good, very friendly server who was attentive. Pecan coffee was fantastic, and piping hot. Good selection on the breakfast menu. My wife had pecan french toast which tasted great. I had an omelette which was made well except they used processed cheese slices (the kraft stuff) that is complete junk.
