My husband really loved his meatball and onion pizza. He said it was the closest thing to NYC pizza he's come across in St. Augustine. (We are from Queens, NY.) My white pizza was ok, there wasn't much flavor to it but it had the right amount of ricotta to mozarella ratio. I have to admit, after reading all the reviews about the girl behind the counter, when we got to Borillos, I chuckled to myself because it's so true haha. She wasn't friendly, didn't crack a smile, almost like she hated being there. However, she did her job and got our orders correctly and brought our food to the table. So it's all good. read more

Pizza's were big but not tasty. The service wasn't great at all since there was only one worker on a Thursday night and it was full. Was very hesitant on the 10% off discount. Waited a long time for food. It's very dirty. The tea was super watered down. Garlic bread was okay. Bought mild wings and they were really good. read more

As a 23 year old woman I am not ashamed to say that pizza is my favorite food. I have tried alot of pizza in St Augustine and this is my favorite so far. The pizza is fairly thin crusted and is very tasty. The rest of the food (pasta and such) is okay, typical for a pizza joint- not amazing but edible. read more

Borillos has been a favorite of ours for a few years now. We ordered about 2 months ago and were surprised to find the portion sizes had gone way down for the stromboli and calzone, and the garlic knots weren't as good. We realize everyone has a bad day, so we decided to try again. We ordered for delivery again tonight and when the gal told us the total, we asked about the prices because we came up with a total about $5 less than what she told us. Apparently the prices had gone up a dollar or two for each of the items we ordered. I asked for a new menu to be sent with our order so I could be better prepared next time. I ordered 2 hot sandwiches and a stromboli, it came to $35 & change. I asked if the stromboli was a decent size as it had gone up $2 in price, she said it was. I also asked for a small container of marinara sauce. When our order came, it was nice and hot. We didn't get a new menu. One sandwich was very good, but they didn't send the sauce. The other sandwich was a bit chintzy, small meatballs and barely any sauce, but tasty. The big disappointment was the stromboli. It was smaller than the last time and not very full. Overall, there are so many Italian restaurants in this town that give a decent portion for a fair price, that it seems like Borillos didn't think it through when raising their prices while skimping on the food. Locals like us are very loyal to places who consider their customers. Seems like they are only thinking of the tourists who don't know any better. Or maybe that was their only option after the 2 hurricanes so close together caused them enough of a loss to do this. Since we didn't get a new menu, we won't be ordering without knowing how much the items are, and we'll be going to the other 3 or 4 places that are more fair in the prices for what is offered. read more

A nice little nook in the town and food was good. Fair enough! I would get pizza next time instead of the Philly Cheesesteak.

This place is so yummy! Came here with a few friends off a whim...we just saw it while driving and stopped. We got two Philly cheese steaks, a jumbo calzone and meatball sandwich, and got garlic knots to start. R was delicious and you should definitely stop here if you're in St.Augustine. Third time there, every time food is great. I'm in St. Augustine once a week, been to 7 or 8 different pizza places, Borrillo's delivers the best bang for the buck. BIG RAT!!!!Avoid this place!!!!we stopped by there to get a small snack. The sandwich was not worth waiting 20 minutes - all the ingridients were frozen, but looks like the counter girl was too busy chatting with the kitchen guy... That's probably why it took 20 minutes(((( and when my husband went to the bathroom - he saw a giant rat there!!!! My husband and I strolled up north of the hotel and wandered into this place. We ordered, noticed the Best of Jax covers from several years in a row, sat down, looked on yelp and found many 5 star ratings and then the pizza came... G-R-O-S-S!! One of the worst pizzas I have ever had. Canned mushrooms, little tiny sausage nuggets like Domino's uses and the cheese and sauce were pretty awful. They had the kitchen door wide open to the street. Which I think is a clear violation of the Florida Health Code. read more

The food was great! Staff was pleasant and efficient. The location needs a serious remodel, especially the bathrooms. I was disappointed that a "wine garden" didn't have a better selection of wines. Nasty place. Ordered a steak n cheese sub and salad today. The steak meat was hardly luke warm and nasty like very old steakums also spongy. The salad was barely acceptable, the lettuce was not cool and crisp, tomato slices were warm and starting to fall apart. Didn't notice until after sitting down and watching the kitchen staff work, that they are sweeping the floor and then handling both raw and cooked food without washing their hands. Not your place if you want fancy. It's small, you order at the counter, and "service" is limited to your food being brought to your table when it's ready. That being said... I. Love. This. Place. The pizza slices are huge, foldable, and delicious. The staff is friendly. Good selection of beer and wine, including pitchers. Nice outdoor area is definitely roomier than the inside dining area. We got there at around 11:30 for lunch and by noon the inside area was standing room only. Food was prepared quickly despite the crowd. Will absolutely be going back. Excellent lunch special: 2 slices and a Pepsi for 5 bucks. Do yourself a favor and eat here. read more

Great pizza parlor in Saint Augustine, Fl. We ate lunch here and it was good. Not far from old town, and in walking distance to most Down Town attractions. Parking is limited, and we had to carry our cups to the counter for refills which wasn't a problem. I'll definitely eat here again for sure! read more

I got the meatball sub it was great! Very cheesy and tastes great. Its a small cute restaurant , always full of people. It does get loud there but the food makes up for it. Prices are pretty good too, especially for the huge pizza slices. So overall, a great place for lunch. read more

Small little hole in the wall pizza place just minutes from down town st Augustine. Found it while we were on a walk visiting the city. Cashier was very friendly. We got a cheese steak sandwhich per her recommendation - a slice of cheese and a slice of veggie pizza. The cheesesteak was decent it had a lot of flavor your typical pizza shop cheese steak. Would more than likely order it again. The geese pizza was New York style and very yummy! Huge slice. The veggie pizza wasn't my favorite it was just cheese pizza with veggies put on top and then heated up. Maybe they ran out ? Not sure. Would prob eat here again. The food here was absolutely delicious and the staff was super friendly! My friend dropped some sauce and got it on her dress and the owner was so nive and brought her out a wet towel to clean it up with! Can't say enough good things! What a fantastic dinner expereince!! Our first restaurant upon arrival in St. Augustine, and we hit jackpot! We met amazing, sincerely wonderful people in the outdoor beer garden. We were greeted by locals eager to welcome us and help us navigate the town. For dinner we ordered the homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli with fresh marinara, and glasses of pinot grigio, delicious... We met the lovely owner, Delia, who was gracious and kind, and made us feel so welcome. A must stop if in St. Augustine!! I've been coming here for pizza for almost 16 years. I think the pizza is better here than in NYC itself. Maybe, I have that opinion because of the nostalgia attached to it. I've never gotten bad feedback from anyone that I've suggested Borrilo's to. The service is a little slow, but the pizza is worth it! Don't get more than two toppings on the pizza, especially vegetables, because the crust will get soggy and kill the experience for you. Enjoy. read more

Just walked by this place on our self guided tour of the tourist trap that is St. Augustine. I love pizza and this place had a lunch special for $5.50. Two cheese slices and a coke. The menu was good and we got a seat by the window. I usually don't judge a place by a waiter or server. But I did note the cute girl behind the counter gives off some attitude for sure and doesn't smile very much. Like she was too hot to be working there. Whatever. It's a good lunch spot.
