This place was just ok! We visited on a Saturday afternoon for a quick snack. Parking is really really tough, I parked on the street a block away. Clean shop and not busy at all! I ordered their basil chicken with ranch. The chicken took a while to come out and they forgot the ranch. It was fresh though! Good portions, but I've had better basil chicken. Very ok experience!
Since the hotdog place closed down inside H-Mart I've been coming here! They're just as good but don't have as many toppings as the other place. I used their ordering kiosk for a faster check out. They have plenty of seating for people to sit and work. They are connected to labora which is cool!
Great drinks and soft & warm boba! Can't go wrong with either a fruit or milk tea. I saw a few students staring intensely at their laptops so I believe it makes a decent study spot as well. They share a bathroom/hallway with the spot next door. There was free parking in the plaza when I went on a Monday evening.
Parking is very difficult here especially with the popularity of Labora next door. Street parking is also difficult and the side streets have homeless encampments so be careful when parking. Seating inside is difficult. LOTS of people on laptops and those from Labora side. No outside seating. Order at kiosk only. They have a surcharge for credit cards (no sign stating this anywhere) but no ability to pay in cash. If you don't like your drink staff will remake but the wait will take awhile. Saw someone try to get more sweetener and staff made them wait for quite awhile. Staff not friendly. Been here a few times. Most recent visit I ordered: Basil popcorn chicken $13 - got mild but it was still kind of spicy, even the ones that didn't have red seasoning on them. Good overall flavor, nicely crunchy, some pieces over. Very fatty thigh meat. You get a decent portion but it still seems fairly expensive.

There is no me without boba. I'm on a hunt to find the best boba in San Diego, so I searched boba on Yelp and Urban Bubble popped up. I was even more interested when I saw they serve snacks too. Parking at 9pm wasn't too bad since most businesses nearby were closed, except the 24 hour Mexican spot across from them. I can see it being tougher during peak hours though. When we walked in, it was packed with students. Almost every seat was taken. I liked that they had two kiosks to browse and order. It keeps the line moving and lets the employees focus on making drinks. The menu is your classic boba lineup with milk teas, fruit teas, matcha, and slush style drinks. I went with the Taro Brown Sugar with boba at half sweet. My partner got the Crème Brûlée Brown Sugar Boba. We also shared a Hot Cheetos Mozz and Sausage with cheese on the side. Our drinks came out quickly. The food followed about five minutes later, which makes sense since it's cooked to order. I also liked how sturdy their cups are. They feel durable and good quality, not flimsy. Taro Brown Sugar Boba (Half Sweet) Think taro milk tea with brown sugar boba. Nothing crazy, just exactly what you expect. It was still on the sweeter side even at half sweet, but it satisfied the craving. Crème Brûlée Brown Sugar Boba When I think crème brûlée, I think creamy custard and torched sugar. This leaned more like a classic brown sugar milk drink. Still good, but I wish there was something that really highlighted that crème brûlée flavor. Also, 50% sweetness was still very sweet. Hot Cheetos Mozz & Sausage I really wanted to love this. It looked like a corn dog lightly dusted in red powder. After biting into it, I couldn't really taste the Hot Cheetos flavor. I did like that they alternated pieces of mozzarella and sausage instead of doing a straight half and half. The cheese on the side added a nice salty touch. Some parts of the dough were uneven and a bit too thick, but overall it reminded me of a Chinese donut. I enjoyed it, just not for the Hot Cheetos factor. I'm definitely curious to come back and try their popcorn chicken since it looked good and I love when spots still add basil. I can see myself coming here earlier in the day to study. Just maybe skipping the corn dog next time since the dough was a little too dense for me.
My favorite place for easy grab and go snacks! My favorite has to be the tteokbokki with the sausage. It is crispy on the outside and so chewy on the inside. The chicken is flavorful and crispy...first time trying the chicken, I would defnitely get again. The place is clean and modern with many seating areas. The workers are nice.
Easy ordering via a kiosk. Love their high quality cups, which somehow makes it feel like a more luxurious drink and experience. Sweetness was on point for what we selected (options to lower). Pricing is good for how much you get. This shop is connected to Ssong's hot dogs so you can also get food at the same time. Smaller shop with small tables all around. Wasn't busy when we went though so it was easy to snag a table.
I came here with a couple girlfriends to catch up & enjoy some good drinks. The inside is clean & bright. They have the self checkout kiosk which were easy to use. The price is okay, not too expensive which is good. Wait time was about 20 mins since they were a bit busy. They have indoor seating though not much. My friends & I had to pull up a couple stools from another table to fit us 5 together.
First timer here! Great overall selection of bubble teas! I love that they have a *sago* as an option. Not many places (so far) in San Diego has this (except for this other well known place in Del Mar) I've been to. They also have food options here such as a basil chicken sandwhich, basil popcorn chicken with different spice level options, waffle fries, crispy fried gyozas, crispy calamari (will try this here next time), mac n cheese bits, rice cake sausage skewers as well as egg rolls. They also have sauce options such as spicy mayo, ketchup, mustard, ranch and sweet Thai Chilli. Also - if you're interested in caffeine-free options, they do have it as well! The person who helped me with my order was very knowledgeable with the menu! They also have a kiosk option if you want to order that way. The tea shop itself has a great location right off Clairemont Mesa Blvd. The natural light inside the store is ample - so great for photos, or people who like study inside shops or work from home. My mom and I ordered the basil popcorn chicken (medium spicy + no spice) with sweet Thai chili! 10/10! OH & rest assured, YES they have free wi-fi! Our entire experience was great and we'll definitely be definitely be back! The ONLY CON was PARKING. If you didn't think it could get any worse in this Clairemont area, the parking lot is insanely tinier than most. But I'm not surprised - most of the area is like this. But it is what it is folks! Walk. :)
We ordered boba on DoorDash and initially chose it because of the cat design The Creme Brûlée Brown Sugar Boba was decadent and Urban Milk was quite delightful! The drinks came in individual plastic holders, which is a special touch! The flavors are quality and hits the spot if you are looking for a dessert option. Definitely getting boba from here again :D
I wanted Boba and we're eating across the street so I decided to try this place out because I was really craving a light sheet green tea drink. They had it on the menu so I decided to go in. You have to order on the machines. Which was pretty easy. I ordered 50% sugar and less ice. The drink was still very sweet and especially compared to the other Boba places I've been to where I've ordered the same thing. overall my drink was good and the sweetness level wasn't my main concern. What my biggest concern was that my friend ordered Boba in her lychee drink and said she only wanted Boba and no like lychee. When she asked if it was possible to change your order, he looked extremely annoyed, grabbed her cup, and tossed it out in the garbage behind him. He didn't say anything, but he did remake her drink. I'm giving this review only three stars because the customer service was not great. However, I will say the inside is nicely decorated, and all the tables were cleaned. They also had a nice bathroom and very up-to-date and modern. I personally wouldn't come back here for the Boba and I think there's a lot of other places nearby that would also suffice. Especially considering the price of the drink it was not worth the money.
Came here for the first time and really like the atmosphere. Lots of places to study if you need to. Got the Strawberry Matcha Latte with Boba. The flavor was good, not too sweet and not bitter. Got it 50% Sweet and 50% ice. I also ordered the Basil Popcorn chicken and Urban Fries with parmasean. The basil popcorn chicken was made to perfection. Perfect crispness and moist chicken on the inside. The fries were nice and crispy my son said " better than Boba Time" which is saying a lot for him. Defintly will come back. Parking at night is tricky but seeing the day it is decent.

recently visited Urban Bubble (Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego) and had a really tasty experience. What I loved: The vibes are cute and modern -- bright space, clean, cozy places to hang. Their drinks are solid. I got a blended milk tea (with cute cat lid!) and it was thick, not watery -- just how I like my boba. The staff were nice and patient, especially when I asked about flavors and toppings. read more
This is a great place to study/work! Came around 2pm with hardly anyone in the seating areas. Lychee tea was a little sweeter than expected. I ordered it at 50% knowing the lychee jelly would add sweetness to it, so I'd definitely adjust it to a lower sweetness next time. The potato sausage and mozzarella hotdog was tasty. It was heavy to hold, so you know they definitely filled it with the goods. Sugar on top and spicy mayo on the side was a good move. Staff brought out everything pretty quickly! As I was sitting at the table doing some work, I noticed a lot of to-go orders, so despite no one physically sitting in the store, they were still pretty busy. Overall drinks, food, ambiance, and service is good. Cherry on top for it being open late so definitely a great study place. read more

I absolutely loved both of the boba drinks! One of the best boba drinks I've gotten while living in SD. Service was fast and easy. Convoy has no shortage of bubble tea spots, but what sets Urban Bubble apart is not only can you get a great milk tea but an amazing Korean corn dog too! Having a spot with GREAT food and drinks is becoming a rarity. This place definitely has both. They have a self serve kiosk where you can order and customize your order to your liking. They have a wide range of drinks from milk teas to refresher fruit teas and non-caffeinated options too. I went with my usual matcha with pudding. The matcha was delicious and high quality! We also added corn dogs into the mix. You can pick your corn dog filling- I got just sausage while my husband got the half and half with cheese. You can choose your topping: sugar, parm or old bay and your dipping sauce as well. They were massive, juicy and sooooo good! They are made fresh so they have that perfect crisp. The space is super cute and perfect for studying or staying a while. They have their WiFi code on the table to make it accessible. New favorite spot unlocked! read more

I'm glad I tried this spot and found their variety of drinks. I will say one star was lost because my Thai tea had the tea leaves still unstrained but it was pretty sweet at 50% The location is a bit hard to find but once you come in you are welcomed by a large space with ample seating. I will come back to try other drinks. They are doing reviews for $5 gift cards but I will say that this place is a solid 4 star. Mainly the service was quite good, when I brought up the tea leaves they were apologetic and explained to me what was happening. I didn't try their food but it seems like that is a plus. Urban Bubble is one of my go-to spots by Convoy when I am in the mood for boba and a quick bite. The drinks are consistently good, especially the taro and mango blends and their cheese foams adds a nice touch without being too heavy. I got their Toasty milk tea and it was good. I have also tried their Korean corn dogs and popcorn chicken, which are solid for a snack. It can get a little busy and parking is not the easiest in the plaza, but the staff is usually friendly and the place has a relaxed vibe with good music. Prices are a bit up there, but overall it's worth it if you're looking for something tasty and a little different. read more

I've probably been here about 5 times total since they first opened. I actually loved this place the first few times I've tried it. My visit today was disappointing. The quality has changed so much, both me and my boyfriend was dissatisfied with our drinks. From first walking in, the experience was different. I was really looking forward to the Strawberry Love drink, which was my favorite. However I don't believe they have it anymore, at least not today. We usually order at the kiosk. However both kiosks were not connected to the internet so we then ordered at the register. The guy upfront and the girl working were both nice, no complaints there. I did ask for light ice, but when I got my drink, my drink had more ice than my boyfriend's who didn't ask for any ice adjustments. I'm assuming they made a mistake here. It did take some effort to punch my straw through the ice and swirl the straw around. So maybe they put extra ice instead of less ice? My boyfriend's drink was also super disappointing. First off, they barely gave any boba, maybe like 1/2 to 3/4 what they use to give. The boba quality was also not great. Some of the balls were decent but others had no chew texture to it and were just soft. The cups had also changed. I'm usually not too picky about cups and stuff as I know shipments can get backed up and sometimes there are mistakes with ordering inventory. however since the whole experience wasn't great today, the change to cheaper cups further validates my dissatisfied feelings. Urban bubble always hits! Every drink I've gotten I've always enjoyed. It is on the sweeter side so adjust as needed. But honestly this is one of the best boba places in SD ever since Bobalicious in Mira Mesa. The service is quick and the staff I've had interactions with have always been friendly. Came here with a few friends during Comic Con weekend since she told me it was one of her favorite local boba spots. This location is near all the other Asian food places and parking was relatively easy during the middle of the day. The overall vibe of the shop was relatively quiet with a few people chatting and some working on their laptops, so it felt like a nice place to hang out or study. After reading the menu, I was surprised to see options for a sparkling option, so I decided to try out the sparkling strawberry lychee with boba added. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this drink was. It tasted very similar to a lychee soda mixed in with lychee and boba on the bottom with a very soft texture to chew on. Overall, a great place to visit if you're local to the area and I'll be back again in December to try out either the Lychee Milk Tea or Thai Tea! read more

Good quantity, great quality, great value. I've been to this Urban Bubble location a few times and there are just so many great reasons to keep coming back. The quality and consistency in the quality on top of how late Urban Bubble stays open makes it an easy go-to spot for a late hangout and beverage. Their blended drinks always hit the perfect spot between sweet and tasty. On days where I've had heavier meals, their refreshers are a great option to enjoy a sweet treat without feeling stuffed. My favorite that was recommended to me by one of their servers, Andre, is the Aloha Mango! On multiple occasions, I've been helped by Andre. He has never failed to ask me about my day and always comes up with the perfect recommendations. He is also very quick with the service and I can expect my drink to be made within only minutes of ordering making this Urban Bubble location perfect for a quick grab-and-go on a busy day. Overall Urban Bubble is a great place to go for a refreshing drink after a light meal or a heavy AYCE outing with friends. Their quality is always consistent and dependable. read more

Drink was pretty good. I got a mango sago blended drink and it was made quite well. Service was also really fast even though I went around 20 minutes before closing. They truly treat everyone fairly even when they are about to close. This place is also very clean and seems like a good place to study or hang out. There were many people with laptops out so I feel that it is truly a good place to study. I recommend this place and I definitely would come back and try other drinks! read more

3.5 stars for the oolong milk tea and 4 stars for the brown sugar. It's nice they have food/snack options. The boba was decent! I did like their brown sugar milk boba and I usually don't like that drink (too sweet for me). The oolong milk tea was ok! Wasn't too crazy about it. Tea was strong but the milk/cream used didn't compliment it as well as others I've tried. Boba seems a lil mushy. I would definitely try one of their other drinks if I return. read more

This place has a easily accessible location, trendy large interior with a large menu. They even let me try the tea before hand. I had roasted oolong milk tea with boba. It was 4.5/5. Service was quick. Will come again. read more
Second time coming here and I got the strawberry yogurt with boba. It was perfectly sweet and refreshing and you can really taste the strawberry flavor. The boba was softer than I like but it's still chewy. Would come back for this drink and to try their food! read more

LUIS our bobarista ATE! He was the only one working and made our drinks all PERFECT!!! The boba was perfectly cooked and soft. The sweetness level, ice level, EVERYTHING 10/10. We will be back and I hope Luis is there. We got the melrose, a strawberry matcha with Oreo, and mango sago. I'll be back for the mango sago. read more
I'm so glad I started coming to Urban Bubble. One of my favorite lunch items is basil popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken is a good portion for the price and it is perfectly fried. It is nice they offer 3 spice levels so you can get what suits you. I also appreciate that you get 1 dipping sauce, my personal favorite is the spicy mayo. The teas are also quite good. I love the frozen Thai tea and of course I've had to get it in the adorable bucket. There is still plenty more to try so I will keep coming back, but the popcorn chicken is awesome! read more
