My experience here has had its ups and downs. The food is decent, but unfortunately, something always happens to sour my experience. We've had food be forgotten both times I've dined here. They are always nice about it, and offer free drinks after, but it would be nice if they just got it right in the first place. I do like the filet mignon. It's pretty good. The first time I had the garlic rice, I thought it was really great. The second time I found it to be bland. The garlic noodles are decent. The rotisserie chicken is also good, but the sauce is on the sweet side. Our second time here was the night of July 3rd. When we entered, the cashier let us know that it would take 30-40 min for our food to come out. After ordering, we asked a girl if she could clear the booths for us. A lot of the tables had dirty dishes that had not been cleared. We went to walk around a little bit and came back and sat down in the booth. She had only cleared one booth. After sitting and placing our numbers on the table, a worker came up to us and asked us to move... He informed us that another couple that has not ordered yet was going to sit there. I was shocked, to be honest. I declined his request. I informed him that I had asked the girl to clean this booth for us. I'm not sure why there were so many dirty tables, but I think that's an area where they can improve. It was a busy night, maybe there aren't enough workers to clear tables. read more

I'm not sure if the chef was different or I didn't notice it the first time I ate, but I once again ordered the Filet Mignon with Garlic Noodles. The meat was still very soft and flavorful (5/5 for the meat) but the garlic noodles were WAY WAY WAY TOO BUTTERY. I felt my arteries clogging up as I ate the noodles. If possible, I definitely recommend asking for less butter or no butter at all on the noodles. The cajun fries, however, were on point! What a rip off! I had high hopes for this place. How can you state the drink is $4 each, even on Grubhub it was the same price but then actually charge for $4.75 without posting it anywhere. Love the food here, our favorites are the Pad Thai and their garlic noodles with filet mignon. The service is simple, you order your food on the counter and they bring it to you after. They do check in and see if there's anything you need while dining. The restaurant is pretty modern, tables are spaced out well. Great for a quick lunch! read more

First time coming here and our choice was takeout. I got myself garlic rice with filet mignon. The service was not fantastic but not terrible. We walked in the door and awkwardly stood in front of the cashier for a few minutes before she asked us if we were picked up. I got home expecting filet mignon like bo luc lac size cubes but was greeted with fragile pieces of beef. Like, don't get me wrong, guys, the Green sauce is dank, and the meat is satisfactory, but why did my filet mignon look like the establishment ran out of meat and gave me their meat for their pho dishes? Has a very modern feel to it. And you get the sense that it's very popular in the area and people really enjoy it. It's order-at-the-counter which is often my favorite way to dine. Their Pho is good but there's nothing particularly special about it--my guys had the meatball and the brisket. This is one of those hip-er feeling places with fusion menu items. No fritz or thrills but a flavorful place with a simple menu without too many flash boom bangs!. Food: - Shaken beef with Chow Mien noodles ($12): I loved the texture of the shaken beef but the flavor had some hit or miss moments. Some bits were too salty but some were perfect. It's a very comfort feel while keeping hearty flavor of a simple stir fry. The egg noodles used kept texture very well and I enjoyed how they went complementary with the beef. Would I get it again? Fried rice was okay, but the main reason I'm giving them 1 star is because the shrimp for the fried rice, although well seasoned were not devein. 2 stars for the ambiance alone. Everything is set up well - it's your standard hipster industrial layout with more modern furnishings, complete with nice looking menus with almost unnecessarily expensive food. Another star for the service - workers here seem nice and attentive and if you're sitting down waiting for your to-go order, they'll actually bring the items right to you rather than just calling you to the counter. Feels like the place is trying to be more elevated by providing things like build-your-own protein plates with high-quality ingredients. That's fair - can't bash them for that. But man, the quality for me just isn't there. The garlic noodles are pretty basic and you can get a similar quality at Hiccups, and the filet needed more of a sear. The cucumber limeade is refreshing initially but as you drink more, you realize that this would be so much better if you had another element to the drink to smooth out the limeade - perhaps basil or mint would work here. And the popcorn chicken - man I wish this was better. I really do, because this is just such a convenient location. It's not bad, but it's just not very crispy at all, and not well seasoned. Came to this place without knowing what to expect, but as soon as I saw "Gochujang Baby Back Ribs" as a protein choice in their Build-A-Bowl, I had a great feeling about the upcoming meal. As the dish was set down before me, my mouth watered instantly. I tried a bit of the sauce that coated the ribs and had to tuck in immediately. The first spoonful of meat, roasted garlic rice and a generous amount of sauce had me telling everyone at the table that they had to try a bit of my dish. The well-dressed side salad was polished off too. Ordered through Yelp and the process was a breeze. We tried the House Pho, Meatball & Pho, Fried rice with added shrimp and street corn. I personally think their pho dishes have a huge portion and can be shared between 2 people. The pho tasted like usual pho and I didn't think the flavor stood out significantly. Corn is my absolute favorite but unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan of their street corn. I really don't know what the hype is all about. My brother and I both ordered the filet mignon with garlic noodles and I give it 3/5. I ordered carry out and wait was 35 mins... I wish they would've told me it would be that long instead of 10-15 minutes. Garlic noodles were sooo bland. It was just really sticky :/ The filet mignon was cooked close to rare..... and I eat well done lol so I didn't even eat my meat. Maybe if there were options on how to cook the meat, it would be accommodating to customers who can't eat their meat red. Our meal was TOO garlic-y. The drinks seem to be on the more expensive side (which I opted to get boba from 85° instead of here) this has to be the most expensive yet smallest pho I have gotten. The noodles AND broth taste like the pho bowls you just pop in the microwave. Noodles are very thin I wouldn't recommend this order. Very basic and can get it somewhere else. What I do consider, is getting the filet mignon. It was the best garlic noodle and beef I had being in LA. The garlic noodles aren't too garlicky and the beef was nice and tender. They opened on 9/16 and I had gone on 9/25. The stars on Yelp looked promising and I love trying new restaurants! I got there a little before 7pm and ordered 4 dishes and the wings to go. More waiting...Two redos for patrons in the restaurant start making me nervous. More waiting...my husband and I are comped free drinks at 7:40pm. The lychee spritzer is delicious and crisp. Yum! At the 45 min mark the gentleman who took our order says if the food isn't ready in the next minute he will refund our $. It arrives however just as he goes into the kitchen. There were 5 chefs and 3 running the registers and floor. I'm not entirely sure what the disconnect was but we were very disappointed with our 1st visit. Upon arriving home we found one of the orders had the wrong protein in addition to the wrong base. Do note that the food in itself is 5 stars.
