This place reminded me of a Thai / Vietnamese / fast casual fusion kind of place that also offers drinks like a boba shop. Everything was hot and delicious and I would totally get it again. I tried the filet mignon fries, veggie pad Thai, and the gochujang wings. My only negative would be that the onion in the noodles and filet mignon could have been cooked more. They were on the raw side and not very appetizing. I also was interested in the tea but was disappointed to hear that the teas are already presweetened and sugar level cannot be adjusted. Owners: stop making menu changes! Lack of consistency in food quality and lack of consistency of menu items cause your regulars not to come back! Last time I threw away my Pad Thai! It was soupy and bad tasting. Grilled Shrimp: Yes you should of kept the original special sauce for the grilled shrimp, the thick one doesn't work. Yes, I asked the manager who said we're changing things up. It's not that hard to store sauce. NO *** I'm not paying premium pricing for you to give me things I don't like, it's wasteful to throw away food! You can't make changes and not tell us. Only reason we return is the food is always delicious. We stopped having delivery, as the orders were always incorrect. Even with pick up, the orders are always incorrect. The staff is always pleasant and willing to make it right. The staff have commented that their system needs work. I saw this place over the weekend as I was driving northbound on Valley View Street. I immediately yelped it but didn't even see a listing for it. Now there are 14 reviews and it seems like it will grow quite quickly. Actually, there were only 10 reviews, but four other people posted their review while I was writing mine. The food is a little bit on the pricey side, but packs a lot of flavor. Food is Asian fusion, although not specific to any particular region or country. It seems to draw inspiration from Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisine. Menu is very simple with few appetizers, salads/greens, drinks, and entree. Main entree is customized to your preference with four carb and five protein options. Carb (base) options are sticky rice, jasmine rice, roasted garlic rice, and garlic noodle. Protein options are Tiger Shrimp, Atlantic Salmon, Rotisserie Chicken, Spare Ribs, and Filet Mignon. Main entree is the same price (currently $10.95) regardless of which protein option you go with. Only difference is the portion. Tiger Shrimp with garlic rice was very flavorful. Shrimp was cooked in butter and served with house green sauce, which was quite unique on its own. The entree also came with a little bit of salad and kimchi on the side. The kimchi was a bit different than the traditional style. It was mildly spicy with a little bit of sweetness to it. Shrimp portion was a bit skimpy but that's pretty typical with any shrimp dish. There were four shrimps, which weren't enough to finish my rice. BBQ Char Siu Bao tasted good but it was way too tiny. Order comes with two pieces but each piece is only about the size of a mochi ice cream. Definitely not worth $4.95. Spare Ribs were excellent, and this is the item I would come back for. It comes in two different flavors, gochujang and lemongrass. I was tempted to go with gochujang since that's the flavor I'm familiar with, but lemongrass sounded more interesting. The ribs were "fall off the bone" tender and was gushing with some powerful flavors. They tasted like they were slow cooked for hours. I remember eating something like this when I was growing up in Korea, with the exception of subtle lemongrass flavor in these. Just watch for bones when you eat this. They were chopped in small pieces so I thought they were taken off the bone, but I was wrong. I got this with garlic noodle as the carb option but I didn't care for it. I tasted garlic, but the noodle itself didn't have any other flavor to accentuate it. It was rather one-note and heavy. I can't wait to come back and try more items. I may even come back tomorrow if I can get here before the dinner rush. Place was pretty packed, even on a Monday night. It's located at the Cypress Village plaza, which also has Pieology, Burger Boss, Waba Grill, 85C Bakery, and Churned Creamery. Filet fries (they don't serve this anymore - now they have bulgogi fries which I haven't tried yet) - sautéed chunks of steak over garlicky fries. So amazing. This is the same type and flavor of filet that can be had in the entree/plate combo. Their filet is prepared so well. Beware there are chunks of cooked garlic liberally sprinkled throughout this dish. Brussels sprouts - I love Brussels sprouts normally but this dish was actually not my favorite. The flavor overwhelmed the dish. Tom Yum Soup - this was very sweet. It was more sweet than tangy. I did not like it this sweet. It came in a good size bowl and loaded with shrimp. I tried it on two separate occasions to see if it tasted better the second time and it was still too sweet. Udon soup - I love udon noodles. This had mushrooms, carrots, beef bones and shrimp - the broth was a bit plain but when you add sriracha it was perfect. Great portion size and filling. Cucumber limeade - very refreshing! I tried this hot and new restaurant and and glad I did. The menu has many tasty looking options and a Vegan menu as well. The appetizers are bbq Siu Bao a bbq pork bun, Cajun garlic fries, popcorn chicken, egg rolls, chicken wings and gyozas. I picked the tiger shrimp with garlic rice and I added a fried egg. This was served in just pretty quick, the presentation was great and the flavor was good. The shrimp still had the shell so that was a small bit of work but that way of cooking keeps them moist and juicy. The roasted garlic rice was heavy on garlic so just know it is truly a garlic experience. I would probably get another rice or noodle next time. More garlic than I prefer but good flavor. The fried egg made the rice even better as fried eggs can always enhance the food experience for my tastebuds. Other options were garlic noodles, mixed greens, tomato or jasmine rice as a base then you choose a protein from salmon, chicken, ribs or filet mignon and the shrimp that I chose. I was happy to find this place that is open late. However, when we entered the premises, most of the tables were dirty and filled with dirty dishes. This was a turn-off. No one greeted us, they have no menus, and you have to scan the qr code or stand by the register to view the panel with the menu. Since there's no greeter, I had to find this out on my own. Menu is very simple, not many options, including drinks. The plates were very unstable. You have to hold on to your plate with one hand while rolling your noodles on the fork to keep it from spinning. It's definitely not the place for a dining experience. The food was decent, not great. I'm torn as some of the plates we got were delicious and some were not. We ordered: -BBQ Char Siu Bao: The menu says 4 but we received 2, AND it was not the BBQ Char Siu, it had minced pork and hard-boiled egg. While it was good, it was not what we ordered and we were shorted 2. -Filet Mignon Ribeye Fries - The filet mignon was great but the fries could not be eaten as they dumped so much salt on it. Thankfully as a take out order, they separated the meat from the fries so it didn't spoil the entire plate. -Popcorn Chicken - It was alright, gets a little soggy when you order takeout. -The House Pho - flavor of the broth was great. We were hungry and everything was delicious! The chili lime cauliflower was really good, and not too charred like some other restaurants do. The red curry definitely had a kick, the sauce is a bit watery so you may need extra rice when you take it home for leftovers. I did not know garlic noodles plate already came with salad but I added steamed veggies for a healthier option. The only thing I wish was that the tiger shrimps were deveined. What's interesting about this place is you order at a counter then you take a seat and they'll bring you your food. It was interesting because that was my first time going to a pho restaurant, ordering first then taking a seat. I settled on the house pho and my friend got the ribeye pho. Since it was happy hour, we got eggrolls and chicken wings to share. Everything came out pretty quickly and everything was hot and fresh. My pho was delicious; it definitely hit the spot and the eggrolls and wings were pretty good too but we had to take the wings home since we were stuffed with pho. I have a problem with Urban Cup. It's delicious. It's very delicious. But it takes FOREVER. Mr. R and I have ordered from here 4 or 5 times using the app and no matter how much lead time we give them, we always end up waiting 20 minutes when we get there to pick it up and there is a 50/50 chance that there will be something missing. We love their potstickers, pad thai, curry and pho. We want to try their grilled shrimp and brussels sprouts but it's always such an ordeal. I'm not even exaggerating either...last time we ordered online we showed up and they said they were working on it, we gave them 15 minutes before showing up and Mr. R was so hungry we just went to the revolving sushi place across the way and ate and then came back and the food was just being packed up. Me and my girlfriend had recently went here to get some late night food and we had ordered the street corn, upon receiving the item it had spicy mayo instead of regular mayo, which we were not informed of as it didn't say in the menus or were we told before hand of purchasing and in addition the menus didn't even specify it would have mayo in the first place, the mayo was simply too spicy to enjoy and so we had asked if we could have it replaced, not even a refund mind you, and the employee who was kind had asked the manager what to do and they told us they couldn't do anything about it because it was expected we would know it would be spicy mayo, of course we knew there would be mayo but in it because it is street corn but in no way would we have known if it was spicy mayo because it wasn't listed in the menu, at this point we felt like we just wanted a refund. Service is very friendly, the cashier was super nice, literally a real smile with her service. We order the 4 Mini BBQ Pork Buns, Beef Pho and Rotisserie Chicken Rice Plate which was a big piece of chicken with a scoop of rice and side salad. We added an egg for an extra $1 I believe. Urban Cup is one of my go-tos during my lunch. It's right around the corner from my work so it's super convenient and there's always parking. I absolutely love their lychee jasmine green tea. Highly recommend it! Sometimes I will go just to get the drink. I've also had their curry, bulgogi fries, and popcorn chicken and it's all delicious. Last time I went I had the opportunity to meet one of the owners and he was very friendly and was happy to share about how special the lychee jasmine green tea is. The only issue I've had is that on occasion the wait for food can be long (20-30 minutes for one item) but most of the time they're pretty quick (10-15 min). You can order online but I usually opt to go in to avoid paying the convenience fee. If you're not in a hurry, I highly recommend coming here. The garlic noodles didn't have much flavor but the filet was very powering with saltyness that it gave the noodles flavor. However they do add a lot of garlic into it, so beware you will smell like garlic for a few days after. The green sauce they have out is also a great taste to add in your noodles for flavor. They do however give you a lot of greens, it's like the spring greens set box they serve at Costco basically, but it has good sauce with it at least. The plate took about 11 minutes to come out. Really want to try and like this place cuz it's so close to my house, but alas the slow service for online take out orders is beyond frustrating. Placing the order is no problem. The problem is the app tells you it will be ready for pickup in 20 minutes. I got there in 20 minutes and was told they are still working on it. Another 20 minutes goes by and I ask how much longer. Seems they forgot about my order and told me it would be another 5 minutes. Finally got my food and when I reached home they called me to tell me they forgot an item. Went back and picked it up, got back home and realized they still forgot my fried rice. Did no go back. Had the coconut curry with chicken, gyozas, and a salad. Food was good but not great. Very small portions of meat and vegetables in the curry so no worries about getting full, Will not be going back. read more

Average. This describes everything we tried today. I wasn't blown away by anything. We got the fries with meat- it was tasty but I wouldn't say the best. I had the build your own plate with garlic noodles, filet mignon and the miso soup. Garlic noodles where basic, not that good good satisfying taste and the miso soup was missing something. The filet mignon was delicious though. My favorite thing. Wish I just had the meat and that's it. Left the spot unsatisfied. It's good but I wouldn't come back for average food... read more
