This place has a long wait! We were wondering what's the hype. Now we understand. I do recommend y'all to book a spot through Yelp reservations since it's always busy. The food was excellent. I especially appreciated how they perfectly cooked the poached eggs. I got the blue corn huevos rancheros. It tasted great. My only feedback would be the beans. It needs to be properly seasoned. Guess I'm spoiled by the California people when it comes to Mexican food. Still, I liked this place, clean bathrooms, simple decor, and open space. The last thing- I enjoyed the service because the servers were kind, communicative, and had a smile, specifically for us Deaf people! Definitely a Deaf friendly space. on a side note, I am now in love with the horsetooth hot sauce - orange habanero, cantaloupe, and sweet carrots. The Eggs Benedict are so delicious! My husband lives the biscuits and gravy and breakfast burrito. Beware the green chili and Bloody Mary's are very spicy! February has apparently been slow for us - hunkered down, pining for the warmth and promise of spring. Well, that and we've been fighting the eternal battle of illness. But, we made it out of our home today to try a new (to us) brunch joint - Urban Egg! The decor is bright, airy, and clean with a nice bar, fun artwork, and plenty of seating. Well, now that we're on it, it's a little tight. They jammed as many tables in there as they could, but you know - they're there to feed as many people as possible. There was a 40 minute wait (for a party of 3.5) at 915a on Saturday morning which should be expected, I guess. Lots of sweet and savory options including gluten free. Most everything was affordable - should you be in the mood to "treat yoself" there is a $16 avocado toast option (made me lol). As badly as I wanted to order one the very decadent sounding waffles or pancakes, the Tuscan Benedict won out and I was not disappointed! Good portion, beautiful presentation, SERVED HOT, and with a great hollandaise. My husband and our friend both got the Corned Beef Hash and each cleaned their plate. Later, my husband said his had a slightly sweet quality which he couldn't quite put his finger on but was also decidedly not something he loved. Didn't stop him from horking the whole thing down (I didn't even get to try it! The nerve of some people...) so you be the judge of that one. My kid wanted french toast and ate almost all of it, along with the side of fruit so yeah, you could say he enjoyed his too. And you wanna know the best part? THEY BROUGHT THE KID'S FRENCH TOAST EARLY WITHOUT ME ASKING! Either I had that crazed mom-of-a-toddler look in my eye or they just *know* but my gosh. Color me impressed and grateful! It probably saved the meal. Maybe even the morning. Heck, our whole day was made! #notallsuperheroeswearcapes Listen. I'll end it with - their drip coffee is also tasty so just GO already! **Why not 5 stars? I've had some pretty phenomenal brunches in my day - I am a millennial, after all. Really disappointed this time around. We usually really like this place. The toast and has browns were burnt, half the bacon was undercooked and half was over cooked and the eggs were not done the we asked. The coffee was good and the breaded chicken was decent. The thickness of the toast must have changed as I use to love their multigrain bread, now it's much thinner and as stated earlier, it was burnt. The waitress was not attentive or friendly however the manager was great and made it right in the end. read more

I do not have the ability to effectively express how much I appreciate the staff at Urban Egg in Johnstown, specifically the General Manager (Sam R). We were referred to them by our wedding venue for catering for our big day. We visited the restaurant and met with Sam about 6-7 months before our wedding and were offered a complimentary meal during our consult. Sam answered all of our questions and offered suggestions based on their most popular options. She also worked on a menu for us based on our budget. She was incredibly patient, helpful, responsive from start to finish. The food was WONDERFUL and we even had some left over that we are still enjoying. I would absolutely recommend Urban Egg for any of your event catering needs! I would give them more than 5 stars if I could! read more

What a great breakfast spot! This was our first dining experience at this location and we have been to the Fort Collins location a few times before. I was even more impressed with this visit! The parking situation is good because it's in a shopping center. We had about a 45 min wait, but with all the shopping in the area, we were able to keep ourselves occupied until the table was ready. I would HIGHLY recommend using the Yelp waitlist when planning to come. The space is inviting and comfortable, although it seems that is probably always busy. Carissa was our server and she was excellent! There are fun drinks and menu items that make me want to keep coming back to try more things. The food was fresh and tasty, with quality ingredients and lots of flavor. I ordered the scramble plate with the chicken fennel sausage and cheese and that sausage was awesome! We shared the cinnamon roll pancake, which was fluffy and sweet - one of the better ones I've had. In the past, I have had the Urban Egg biscuits and gravy and highly recommend it.
