Urban Plates serves up plates, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. They utilize quality ingredients and have so many healthy options. While they have been in business for a while, what kept me from making this a regular spot on my lunch rotation were the high prices of their dishes. All of that changed with the monthly plate pass that they offer ($10). The plate pass allows one to get any of their plates, salads, sandwiches or burgers for $11. Some of these items cost as much as $22, so it's really a great deal! The best part is that you can use it as many times as you want in a month and you can use it to purchase meals for your dining companions as well! Chimchurri Grass Fed Steak ($19.5 without the plate pass) comes with 2 sides - This is one of my favorites here and at $11, this is such a great deal! The steak is cooked a perfect medium rare and has so much flavor. For my 2 sides I usually get a salad with a vinaigrette or I might switch it up and get their beet salad with goat cheese. My 2nd side I usually get their rich and creamy tomato soup or may go with their Brussel sprouts and turkey bacon. 6 Tender Feast ($22) - This comes with 6 huge chicken tenders fried. They have an option to get this Nashville hot style which consists of a spicy bbq sauce that the tenders are served in. It's definitely more food than 1 person can handle. Other healthy plate options consist of barramundi sea bass, salmon, or grilled cage free chicken. The salads are another great option here and they have several to choose from. Asian chicken, grilled steak, wild ahi nicoise, and my personal favorite the chicken cobb. The chicken cobb is packed with organic leafy green, grilled chicken, turkey bacon, avocado, egg, blue cheese, and organic tomatoes! Overall the plate pass is the way go here! I visit several times in a month and I've made up for the extra cost of the pass. This particular location has a decent amount of seating (although it will be hard to find indoor seating during the weekday lunch rush), and service is fast and efficient when I have visited. They do a great job of packaging everything in case you are doing pick up instead of dining inside the place. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Been to Urban plates on several occasions. As a vegetarian, it's difficult to find multiple options. Well I don't have that problem here . The place is clean and the Staff is always friendly. And lastly, the food is tasty and delicious. I personally like the beets, with roasted potatoes and chili tofu! But the quinoa is also a good choice! Personal shout out to Carlos at the register! There's a multitude of sides to choose from, I always like getting the grass fed steak with a side of chimichurri. Not only is the food amazing, and offers so many good for your body, ingredients, but I was compelled after our very enjoyable meal together, to walk up and give a compliment to the staff! I spoke with Kenton, who was gracious, after I told him that the restaurant is a clean operation. I grew up in the restaurant business, and the way my dad taught us to keep the restaurant, this includes front of the house back of the house and the restrooms were immaculate. i go to the urban plates on jamboree a lot, and i usually really love everything i get from that one. i went to this location with some coworkers to grab lunch. however, i got the mediterranean chicken bowl from this urban plates, and to be honest i did not like it that much. the chicken was really soft and the flavors were kind of bland, so i would give the food a 5.5/10 stars. the service was super quick! our food came out almost immediately after we ordered. and the ambiance here is pretty nice - lots of seating and sunlight. i recommend getting the salmon though!! i should have gone with that this time. read more

Thankful for urban plates. Perfect fancy-feeling restaurant that's not break-the-bank expensive. Got their steak (get the chimchurri) and dipped it in olive oil balsamic vinegar. The cashier was very personable and professional. She made us feel welcome and offered us drink samples when we couldn't decide. The bathroom was very clean which I was pleased about. The cashier deserves five stars but the food? Not so much. We ordered the chili-glazed tofu (2) with turmeric ginger rice, Brussels sprouts, and quinoa. The tofu was tasty but was served at room temperature. The quinoa was good, however, the Brussels sprouts were overcooked and the only thing hot on the plate. The turmeric ginger rice looked good but didn't have enough ginger to it. The green tea was good. Would we go back? Probably not. Too much not great about the food. read more

My parents raved about this place but unfortunately it may have been a very off day when we visited. The food came out really fast but my burger was really raw inside. Even my husband that gets his meat red inside thought it was gross. Unfortunately I'm pregnant and I took a few bites before I noticed. Can't say I'm not worried about it. It's weird that my dad also got a burger but his wasn't like that. Mine looked like it was frozen inside and was never thawed before cooked. They replaced the meal (brought a cheese burger instead of the prices wrapped one I had ordered) but I didn't dare try it again. My son's fries were cold and soggy and salty in comparison to all the other meals. We also had to ask twice before getting the milk that we had ordered with his meal. Can't say I'm super impressed unfortunately but based on my parent's experience it seems like it may have been a one off experience. I wish I could throw up the burger though. :( read more

This location was the first one I was introduced to years back. I'm happy that it's still consistently great! The staff were friendly and helpful. The restraint at was clean. The food tasted great! We signed up for the Plate Pass when our daughter was born and it's truly helped us get through the newborn phase by staying fueled and fed while saving a bit of money. We've always done takeout and have had no issues - everything is packaged well. We ate in tonight and had a pleasant experience as well. Everyone was attentive and kept the place running smoothly. Decent place for a healthy meal! I got the shrimp, brussel spouts and the beet salad. I feel like the shrimp was slightly undercooked but well seasoned and I would not recommend the beet salad unless you know you LOVE beets. It's an order at the counter/sit type of place where they'll bring your food to your table and take away your number. read more

Personal favorites are the 3 piece chicken tenders plate with fries and mac-n-cheese, the double cheeseburger plate, the cobb salad, and the mango tart. Food quality is always top-notch, especially considering the affordable price. Service quality is equally great--orders are typically brought out within 10-15 mins with a smile. Ambiance is casual and relaxed. Zero pretense. Special thanks to Kenton for always remembering his regulars and making a point to come say hello! Pro tip: the water dispenser adjacent to the cash registers has a bit of a learning curve--learned this the hard way after getting sprayed. I wasn't terribly hungry and wasn't in the mood to spend a ton of money for lunch, so I decided to gamble with the kids' menu. I opted for the Urban Kids Steak Plate. This comes with grass fed steak, any side (all the sides!), a piece of grilled rustic bread, AND a drink! All for the very reasonable price of $10.50 before taxes and delivery charges. For the sides, you can choose from what honestly feels like 20 options - I chose mashed potatoes with gravy. And drink options are a plentiful too - I asked for the Kids Black Cherry. My plate was surprisingly very generous - I got a decent side portion of mashed potatoes and several slices of steak. The steak was a little chewy, but there was a nice char and good flavoring. It was a very good value for someone who wanted a light lunch. I have no shame in ordering from the kids menu. I highly recommend you do it too if you have a smaller appetite. read more
